Li Er and the rest were outside the bungalow in the west part of town and knocked on the main door.

Nobody responded to them verbally, but the main gate suddenly opened.

A chilly wind immediately blew past them.

Shortly after that, Ye Fan's low voice rang quietly, "Come in. I've been waiting for you guys for a long time now."

Ye Fan sat quietly in the living room.

A beautiful lady sat by his side.

The fragrance of warm tea filled the entire place.

Since Ye Fan had guests, Ye Xi-Mei went upstairs because she didn't want to interrupt their serious discussion.

But Qiu Mu-Cheng remained downstairs and sat next to Ye Fan.

She didn't say a word and just quietly made tea for him.

The rising steam from the teapot covered Qiu Mu-Cheng's mesmerizing face and made her look even more dreamy than ever.

As the old saying went, heroes were attracted to magnificent swords, while beauties were attracted to heroes.

The only person in Jiangdong who was worthy of being called a hero was probably Mr Chu.

The four who had come to Ye Fan's place greeted the husband and wife sitting before them.

Besides Li Er and Lei San, Wu Wei-Tao had come along with one of his personal bodyguards.

Wang Jie-Xi had not come because he had just taken over Jianghai from Chen Ao, and there were many things he had to attend to personally. Chen Ao had been taking care of Jianghai for more than ten years now, so Wang Jie-Xi couldn't just take over everything because Mr Chu said so.

There were many things that Wang Jie-Xi had to resolve on his own.

Ye Fan nodded and acknowledged their greeting.

But he didn't even look at them and just kept his head lowered as he sipped his tea.

"Mr Chu, Mayor Wu has come here to visit you personally and this is the sort of attitude you show him? Aren't you even going to get him a seat?" asked Wu Wei-Tao's personal bodyguard coldly as he looked a Ye Fan with a displeased expression on his face. Unlike Li Er and the others who were used to Ye Fan's arrogant and icy attitude, the bodyguard frowned and clearly took offense.

"Xiang, watch what you say!" Wu Wei-Tao's face paled as he spun to stare at his bodyguard, Sun Xiang.

"Mayor Wu, why should I? Even though Mr Chu is the leader in the corporate circles, he shouldn't be so disrespectful towards you. You are the government official who takes care of the people in Yunzhou and so you are the officially recognized and rightful leader of the city of Yunzhou," Sun Xiang argued back sternly because he couldn't stand Ye Fan's snobby behavior.

"You..." Wu Wei-Tao's face had already turned a whiter shade of pale when he heard these words.

Li Er and Lei San's faces were livid as they glared at Wu Wei-Tao.

What the heck was wrong with this Wu Wei-Tao? Why on earth did he bring an idiot along?

But while the three older men were afraid that Sun Xiang would make Ye Fan angry, Ye Fan started chuckling.

"Mu-Cheng, could you help me to get two chairs for Master Er and Master San?"

Qiu Mu-Cheng nodded and quickly brought two chairs over for Li Er and Lei San.

Wu Wei-Tao and Sun Xiang were left standing by the side.

"Mr Chu, what do you mean by this? Aren't you afraid that..."

"Enough!" Wu Wei-Tao cut him off angrily when he saw that Sun Xiang wanted to protest this matter. "Nobody will call you a mute even if you don't say anything!" "But Mayor Wu..." Sun Xiang felt injustice for Wu Wei-Tao. He didn't see why Lei San and Li Er were provided with seats while the two of them had to remain standing.

"If you say anymore, I'll throw you out of here!" Wu Wei-Tao was about to faint from his anger.

If he had known that Sun Xiang would shoot his mouth off, he wouldn't have brought this idiot along.

Li Er had called him earlier that day and wanted him to come along to pay Mr Chu a visit and ask what Mr Chu intended to do.

He had hoped that Sun Xiang could protect him, but now, this bodyguard of his had only made things even worse by offending Ye Fan further.

But of course, Wu Wei-Tao had other intentions for bringing Sun Xiang along besides getting him to serve as protection.

Once Wu Wei-Tao lost his temper, Sun Xiang shut up.

The two of them just stood sadly in front of the table.

Li Er and Lei San's faces started twitching when they saw this.

Mr Chu wasn't just a good fighter. He was also really good at making life difficult for others when he wanted to. Or at least this tactic had clearly worked very well on Wu Wei-Tao. But it wasn't the time to laugh about such things.

After hesitating for a moment, Li Er broke the silence first. "Mr Chu, what do you intend to do in the near future?"

Lei San nodded as well. "That's right, Mr Chu. If you have any plans, do let us know in advance and we can get prepared first."

Since Ye Fan had killed Lu Ming-Feng and Xur Shao-Hua, the older men figured that Ye Fan already had a plan to deal with the impending counterattacks from the Lu and Xur families. "Plans?" Ye Fan just laughed quietly. "I don't have any plans. There's no need for any plans."

"But..." Li Er and Lei San paled at these words and tried to advise him, "Mr Chu, it's better to plan for the future ahead. But the other men in the room could hear the arrogance and authoritativeness that was contained in Ye Fan's seemingly calm and nonchalant words.

Li Er and Lei San didn't know what to say after Ye Fan said all this. They didn't have an immediate reply for him.

"Oh my, this is the Mr Chu we know, alright. Only Mr Chu could possibly have the boldness to say something like this," laughed Sun Xiang. He couldn't hold himself back at all. That low laughter sounded rather sarcastic.

"But I wonder if Mr Chu knows what sort of enemies you're facing this time. Do you know who they really are and what they are really capable of?" Sun Xiang asked in return. "No idea," replied Ye Fan without hiding anything from them.

The other men felt their eyes twitch violently.

After going through so much, it turned out that Mr Chu didn't even know anything about the Lu and Xur families?!

They were really curious as to where Mr Chu got the confidence to fight these powerful Yanjing families from, since he didn't seem to even know how powerful they were. Was this man really just consumed by pride and was just living in a world of his own?

The other men felt their hearts turn cold from fear almost instantly.
