After congratulating the Chu family, members of the Chu Sect then left.

But Bill, the head of the Jones family, stayed back.

"Congrats on your success and being appointed as the head of the Chu Sect. Don't forget about us once you've made a name for yourself!" Bill said.

Bill was trying to get in his good books, as the Jones family was the least powerful family in the Chu Sect.

Bill felt he might cling onto Chu Zhengliang, as the latter had a high chance of becoming the next head of Chu Sect.

He was counting on Chu Zhengliang to take the Jones family to the next level.

Upon hearing that, Chu Zhengliang grinned and shook his head. "Don't take what they said too seriously."

"Do you remember those old folks had once said they'd never elect Tang Yun to become the head of Chu Sect? In the end, the position still went to Tang Yun," he added.

Chu Zhengliang took a sip of the tea and explained, "Over the years, Tang Yun might not have excelled as the head of the sect, but he didn't make any mistakes either."

He continued, "Moreover, he ranked first in the Sky Ranking. This would further consolidate his position as the head of the Chu Sect. Anyone who wishes to take over his position should at least defeat him in the Sky Ranking."

Unlike some people who would become full of themselves after being praised by others, Chu Zhengliang stayed grounded.

Years of laying low had made him a calm and steady man.

That was why he was unperturbed by what the elder of the Chu Sect said earlier.

But Bill shook his head, as he did not agree with what Chu Zhengliang said. "I don't think you're aware of the things that had happened in the last couple of months."

He further explained, "From what I know, Tang Yun had not made any public appearance for almost a year now. In fact, he seemed to have vanished into thin air! The elders of the Chu Sect were not pleased about it."

Bill continued, "The head of the elders had even expressed his wish to depose him quite a few times. The elders had clearly lost their patience with Tang Yun. He had also lost support from the top brass." "Even the Tangs had expressed dismay over his leadership. If need be, some are ready to betray him. All in all, the Chu Sect is only one step away from deposing Tang Yun," he added.

"So you see, there's a high chance you might succeed him as the head of the Chu Sect," Bill pressed his voice and explained the current situation to Chu Zhengliang.

"Is that so?" Upon hearing Bill's analysis, Chu Zhengliang got serious.

Chu Zhengliang was a man who would never settle for ordinary. He was too ambitious to remain a follower for the rest of his life.

He had never given up on his ambition, even though he had to concede defeat when his brother became the head of the Chu family years ago.

His perseverance had eventually paid off when he was appointed as the next head of the Chu family.

But that was not his ultimate goal.

Chu Zhengliang's ultimate goal was to become the world's number one and most powerful martial artist, just like his father.

Looking at the situation now, it seemed he was a step closer to achieving that goal.

"Of course! We've known each other for decades, and we're related by marriage. Why would I lie to you?" Bill said.

He continued to convince Zhengliang. "Give it a shot, Zhengliang. Take full advantage of the circumstances, and make your dream come true. Once you've become the head of the Chu Sect, everyone in your family and the entire sect will have to abide by your orders."

"Soon, you'll have control over the entire world. As long as you're willing to fight for the position in the Chu Sect, the Jones family will support you wholeheartedly!" Bill continued to convince Chu Zhengliang in a suppressed voice.

Bill's voice seemed to have the magic to awaken Chu Zhengliang's pent-up desire.

But of course, Bill did not simply make this up. The Chu family was the most prominent family in the world of martial arts, and the Chu Sect was the most influential martial arts organization in the world.

Once Chu Zhengliang took control over these two influential entities, one could imagine the enormous power he could wield.

The Chu Sect was able to conquerthe entire world because the head of the organization had control over these two powerful entities.

After a long pause, Chu Zhengliang looked in Bill's direction. Bill responded with a steady nod. Chu Zhengliangthen said in a deep voice, "If that's the case, please support me all the way." Bill burst into laughter and said, "Don't worry. We're brothers. You'll always have my back." While the two men were laughing, Chu Qitian walked in with a pot of tea and filled Bill's cup. "Enjoy the tea," Chu Qitian said in a respectful

manner.

"All right." Bill responded with a grin.

He then turned his attention to Chu Qitian and smiled at him. "Qitian seems to have grown taller and has become a handsome and mature man. The last time I met you, I believe you were an infant who had just learned howto walk, right?"

"How old are you now, by the way?" Bill asked.

"I'm twenty-one years old this year," Chiu Qitian answered.

"You're twenty-one years old? Wow, it's about time to get married." Bill let out a laugh.

He then turned to Chu Zhengliang and grinned. "I guess it's about time for us to look into a marriage arrangement?"

Chu Zhengliang nodded and replied, "I've been waiting to discuss this with you for quite some time. From what I know, Angie will be turning eighteen next year. We should sit down and discuss the wedding date now. It might be a little too late if we only start making preparation next year."

Upon hearing that, Bill waved his hand in the air. "Let's not wait till next year. Let's settle their wedding this year. How about next month?"

"Next month?" Chu Qitian was taken aback by the date Bill proposed.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to marry Angie?" Bill's eyes widened upon noticing Chu Qitian's reaction.

Chu Qitian immediately shook his head. "No, no, no. That's not what I meant. It's a blessing for me to marry a beautiful woman like Angie. I'm just afraid we might not be able to give Angie the wedding she has been dreaming of if this wedding takes place in haste."

"Don't worry about it! The wedding is the least of Angie's worries. She just wants to marry you, and that's what she cares about the most! As for the wedding invitation, we'll get someone to do the job. Everything should be ready in a month." It was as if Bill had everything in control.

At Bill's insistence, the two families agreed to hold Chu Qitian's and Angie's wedding next month.

Everything seemed to have happened in the blink of an eye. After Bill had left, Chu Qitian could no longer contain his excitement.

He looked at his father with a smug smile. "You're such an influential man, Dad. The Jones family is eager to proceed with the wedding, all because of you."
