After dinner, Ye Fan accompanied Lu Wen-Jing for a little while longer before going to bed.

He had to wake up early to catch the first coach.

Lu Wen-Jing had curled up under the dim lights by the window, crying nonstop in her cartoon print pajamas.

She had been crying for 30 minutes but was afraid to disturb Ye Fan, so she didn't wake him up.

Now that Ye Fan had woken up, she could no longer suppress her emotions. She lunged right into his arms and howled sadly.

Her tears cascaded and wet Ye Fan's pajamas.

"Jingjing, what's wrong? What happened? You were perfectly fine just now. What's gotten into you?" asked Ye Fan helplessly. He had no clue what was going on. "Fan...Fan, Dad wants to divorce Mum!

Help me, will you? I don't want them to get divorced! I don't know who else to look for, so I came to you!" sobbed the little girl piteously. She seemed particularly heartbroken. Ye Fan was shocked to hear this.

"A divorce? Why divorce all of a sudden?"

"I... I don't know either. I just happened to hear Mummy talking to Daddy about this over the phone earlier," said Lu Wen-Jing as she sobbed.

Ye Fan said helplessly, "Jingjing, this is a family matter. An outsider like me can't get involved."

It finally dawned on Ye Fan why Qiu Huan looked so awful after picking up her husband's call.

It was probably because of this matter.
