After a long day at work, it was finally time to head home.

At the dinner table, Connor was serving Camila some roasted veggies while gently saying, "I've had the house you rented renovated. Let's find a time to move your things back." Camila pouted and muttered, "My security deposit..."

"Still worried about that? If you had just told me, why would you need to move?" Connor grumbled, a hint of frustration in his voice.

Camila blinked, a bit taken aback. "What? How is this suddenly my fault? What right did I have to ask you anything back then? What was I to you?"

Connor was left speechless, guilt washing over him. After a moment of silence, he gently held her hand, his face full of regret. "My fault, all my fault. I've been as dense as a brick, not realizing I'd fallen for you sooner. I'm sorry for any hurt caused. Can you forgive me?" Then, with a pained addition, he said, "Hit me if it makes you feel better."

He turned his face toward Camila, presenting his cheek to her like a sacrificial lamb. Camila fought back a smile and pinched his cheek.

"Hmph! I won't stoop to arguing." A smile played at the corners of her mouth as she continued eating.

Connor kissed the back of her hand and playfully whined, "I'm all yours now, you have to take care of me. I don't want to live alone in an apartment anymore, can we cancel the lease?" Camila's cheeks flushed, and retracting her hand, she said softly, "Okay, I'll call the landlord tomorrow."

Connor's face lit up with joy. "Great, tomorrow we'll move everything back to our place!"

Our place... Camila paused slightly. That was Connor's home, not hers. Sensing her emotional shift, Connor quickly added, "I'll transfer the Cedarhill Estate property into your name." Camila looked up, blinking rapidly. Connor continued, "I know you feel insecure. I'll have the papers ready, and I'll arrange the transfer tomorrow."

Camila shook her head, her fear

evident. The vast difference in their

family backgrounds made her uncertain about their future together. Right now, all she wanted was to enjoy their time together, free from the complications of financial entanglements.

She smiled and shook her head again. "Let's talk about that after marriage."

"Are you proposing to me?" Connor's smile broadened uncontrollably. "Let's go get married tomorrow!"

Camila couldn't help but laugh. "Mr. Connor, aren't you misunderstanding something?"

She added, "Marriage isn't child's play. I think we need more time to understand and adapt to each other."

Connor's eyes showed his

disappointment, but he understood

her

He took a deep breath

and pouted slightly. "Okay, I'm willing to wait until you're ready."

Camila lifted his chin into a smile,

com him. "My boyfriend,

we've been together for less than a month. I want to date you longer, to enjoy our world together."

The mention of 'our world' touched Connor, and he reluctantly nodded.

Looking at the dinner spread, Camila said, "I can't cook, and I don't plan on learning for you. Would that upset you?"

At home, meals were always prepared by a chef and kept warm in heating equipment, ready for them to eat when they got home from work.

Connor tilted his head and smiled. "I love you, and I want you, not a housekeeper."

He added, "I learn quickly. I could cook for you."

Camila laughed, feeling the warmth of his words. "You really are something, Mr. Connor."

Connor grinned, "Only for you, Miss Camila. Only for you."
