Camila felt a warm glow in her heart as she watched the easy interaction between the two. Cole was always so considerate and warm-hearted, and she knew her mother was truly happy now.

The mother and daughter settled on the couch, and Camila asked, "Mom, how have you been feeling? Any aches or pains lately?"

Claire smiled and shook her head, "I'm perfectly fine, dear. No need to worry. But you, you've been working so hard, make sure you're taking care of yourself too."

Camila nodded. After a while of chatting, Craig walked in.

"Aunt Claire, Cami," he greeted, holding out an iced coffee. "I heard you were coming home for dinner, so I grabbed this for you. It's super popular right now, my colleague said it's a hit with all the young ladies." Camila accepted the iced coffee with a smile, "Thanks, Craig."

She popped in the straw and took a sip, her face lighting up. "Oh, this is really good!"

Then, with a playful grin, she teased, "Craig, you're so good at knowing what girls like, do you have a girlfriend?"

Craig rubbed his short hair, smiling wryly, "Not yet. I'd love to be in a relationship, but I just haven't met the right person."

"Don't worry, Craig, your time will come," Claire said, patting his shoulder reassuringly. "You're such a catch, so handsome. There's bound to be a wonderful girl out there for you."

Camila winked playfully, adding, "Yeah, who knows? Maybe she'll show up when you least expect it. Stay confident!"

Craig laughed, scratching his head, "You two are just having fun at my expense."

Then, with a mischievous smile, he said, "But hey, we don't have that

tradition where the eldest has to

marry first. So, tell Mr. Connor honet

doesn't have to worry, nothing's going to hold up your wedding.”

Camila blushed a little.

Just then, Cole came out of the kitchen with the final dish, a satisfied smile on his face. "Everything's ready, let's eat!" "Cole, Craig's picking on me," Camila joked, pretending to be upset as she turned to Cole.

Cole chuckled, "Don't worry, as long as I'm here, he won't dare bully you." Then turning to Craig, he said, "Craig, you're the big brother, you should be

looking out for her, not teasing her."

Craig raised his hands in mock innocence, smiling ruefully, "I wouldn't dare!"

Claire watched them with a heart full of contentment. She remembered when she first suggested adding her and Camila's names to Cole's family registry. She had been worried that

Ca might not be happy about it.

After all, it meant they would

officially become part of this family.

But to her surprise, Camila had agreed right away, without any hesitation.

Now, they were becoming more and more like a real family.

Camila walked over to the dining table, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the delicious spread. "Cole, your cooking just keeps getting better and better. These are all my favorites!" Cole beamed with pride at her praise, "I'm glad you like it. I made all of these especially for you."

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Cole put down his fork and walked over to answer it. As he opened the door, he froze, his expression turning stiff.
