"Over here, over here, stop right here!" The sharp-eyed waiter spotted Erica's car inching towards the roadside diner and immediately waved enthusiastically, his face lighting up with the welcoming warmth typical of the region. Erica expertly parked the car in the designated spot, and they both got out. The evening breeze carried the mouth-watering aroma of street food and the distant hum of city life, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere. "Hey ladies, how many of you tonight?" the waiter greeted them warmly.

Erica smiled, scanning the area, and spotted Wesley waving at them.

"My friend's already here, thanks," Erica replied to the waiter, pointing towards Wesley.

The waiter quickly caught on and led them to where Jacob was sitting.

Wesley had been waiting for a while and jumped up to greet them. "Finally, the two beauties have arrived! I've missed you guys-"

Erica gave him a playful look and teased, "It's only been a few months, don't be so dramatic."

Camila chuckled softly, pulling out a plastic stool and patting the seat next to her, signaling Erica to sit as well.

Wesley laughed off Erica's teasing and plopped down next to her. "What do you guys feel like eating?"

As Erica unfolded her napkin, she casually said, "Anything's fine. You haven't been here in a while, right? You pick."

Wesley grinned and nodded. "Sure thing!"

"Hey, handsome!" he called the waiter over and glanced at the menu. "Let's get the garlic butter shrimp, salt and pepper crawfish, garlic pork ribs, sweet and sour pork, baked zucchini with parmesan, beef stir-fry with noodles, and spinach in cheese sauce." Camila looked at Jacob, somewhat surprised. "Ordering so much?"

Wesley laughed. "I haven't eaten here in ages."

Erica teased, "You just graduated, right? Afraid you won't get to eat this again?"

Camila asked, "Working at Fairmount?"

Wesley nodded. "Yeah, I signed with a law firm in Fairmount, starting work after the New Year."

"Congratulations!" Erica and Camila exclaimed together.

"Which firm? I'll make sure to avoid it," Erica joked.

Camila said, "I plan to save up and maybe go for my master's in a few years."

Erica asked, "Does your guy agree?"

Camila replied, "Haven't told him yet, it's not set in stone."

"You're in a relationship?" Wesley suddenly joined in. Camila smiled shyly and nodded.

Wesley looked surprised. "After that

Erica laughed. "Oh Wesley, don't worry. Cami's quite happy now. Her guy really spoils her."

Wesley showed a relieved smile. "That's great, that's great."

Erica then asked, "What about you, when are you going to start dating?"

Wesley's gaze inadvertently drifted to Erica, and he smiled bitterly.

Camila caught Jacob's eye and felt a twinge of sadness.
