Before Jessie could speak, Albert jeered.

Albert retrieved a white cigarette, placing it between his lips.

Just before igniting it, he gazed up at the nearby policeman, inquiring deliberately, “Would you object to my indulging in a smoke?”

Albert’s identity was known to all within the police station.

The superior advised the policeman against troubling Albert, aware of the legal team supporting him.

The policeman acquiesced with a nod.

Albert proceeded to light his cigarette calmly, taking a deep drag before casting a glance at Axell.

Axell stood there, bewildered.

Disbelief washed over him.

He had merely exchanged heated words with Jessie.
