A Second Chance With My Billionaire Love -
Chapter 3462
Jeslyn wouldn’t have her breakfast at home, adamant about joining Jessie instead.
The little girl reassured Jessie, “Dad’s gonna pull through.
He’s gonna wake up and you two will get married, you’ll see.
”
Jessie just gave her a look.
Jeslyn, now focusing on her breakfast, muttered, “You’re not being honest.
You actually have feelings for my dad.
”
Jessie wasn’t in the mood to clarify things to the kid.
Just then, the person in the bed stirred, calling out in a raspy voice, “Jeslyn?”
“Dad!”
Jeslyn rushed to her father’s bedside instantly.
The girl, who always claimed she wasn’t scared of anything, was now crying.
Albert ki*sed Jeslyn and gently said, “I’m just tired.
”
Clinging to his neck, Jeslyn whispered, “You gotta cut down on the sleeping then, or Jessie might change her mind about marrying you.
”
Albert let out a soft Laugh.
Glancing at Jessie, he felt comforted to see she was still by his side.
He’d been trying so hard, scared she’d leave if he gave in.
Noticing she hadn’t left, Albert figured she might be warming up to him.
Elsie was thoughtful.
Spotting him awake, she promptly offered, “Mr.
Waston, do you need the bathroom? Should I get the nurse?”
Albert wasn’t keen on troubling a nurse.
He didn’t think he was so old as to need one.
Picking up on the vibe, Elsie cleared her throat and suggested, “Then I’ll escort Miss Jeslyn to Dr.
Nguyen.
He recommended a check-up today.
”
Albert nodded, gently touching Jeslyn’s hair, and inquired, “Have you had any nightmares lately?”
Jeslyn shook her head no.
Albert felt relieved, letting Elsie take Jeslyn away.
With them out of the way, he called out to Jessie, “Help me up, will you? I need the bathroom.
”
Jessie agreed to look after him, so she didn’t hesitate.
She walked over and lifted the covers… But as she pulled back the covers, she froze, caught off guard by the sight.
Albert looked a tad embarrassed, muttering, “It’s just a natural bodily reaction.
”
As she helped him sit, she couldn’t help but blurt out, “But you’re a patient! This ain’t normal.
