Parking her car downstairs, Olivia dr@ped a shawl around herself and stepped out, opening the door to her apartment.

When the door was opened, she was taken aback.

A black Bentley sat before her car.

Raphael leaned casually against the car, smoking a cigarette at a leisurely pace.

The night breeze was brisk.

In the light, his complexion was illuminated, casting a soft glow on his features.

Raphael tilted his head slightly, his chin held high, exuding an air of nobility and aloofness.

During his college years, he had been the prince charming in campus, attracting numerous secret admirers.

However, despite the attention he received, he had never shown interest in anyone.

Olivia felt audacious enough to pursue him, but eventually…

Realizing she couldn’t feign ignorance any longer, Olivia braved the chilly night air, wrapping her shawl tightly around herself as she approached Raphael.

“Raphael, did you come here to taunt me now that you’ve achieved such success? Do you want me to admit I regret letting you go?” She asked, her voice tinged with vulnerability.

Raphael’s gaze was penetrating as he met her eyes.

With a slow exhale, he responded, “I merely wished to check on how you’re faring.

But perhaps I’m overthinking things.

After all, how could someone like you, the cherished daughter of the Evans family in Czanch, not be doing well?”

Olivia stared at him with her eyes wide open.

Raphael advanced, closing the gap until their toes nearly touched.

His warm breath caressed her delicate features.

“Having a fling with a poor boy Like me must have been amusing for someone like you, wasn’t it, Miss Evans? Do you find pleasure in toying with men? Otherwise, how could you walk away so easily? Or perhaps you’ve done this countless times, making it insignificant to add one more man like me to your list of conquests?”

It wasn’t true!

These words hovered on the tip of Olivia’s tongue, ready to be spoken, yet she held them back.

Would an explanation suffice?

In Raphael’s mind, Olivia had been condemned.

To him, she was an irredeemable villain who reveled in manipulating him.

Furthermore, with the passage of time, there was no need to revisit the past.

Olivia’s eyes darkened before hardening with resolve.

Standing tall in the night breeze, Olivia addressed him, “Mr.

Jones, if memories of the past are unpleasant for you, I apologize.

However, I believe it’s best for us to part ways nicely and not cross paths in the future.

I urge you to show maturity in handling this matter.

After all, successful men like yourself should be more open-minded, don’t you think?”

He stared at her and sneered.

“You’re quite articulate now.

You weren’t so courteous when you ended things.

Allow me to refresh your memory about what you said then…”

“That’s enough!”

Olivia couldn’t contain her frustration.

“It’s been years, Raphael.

What more do you want? Isn’t it common for couples to have ups and downs? Do breakups need to Linger forever? Don’t you find it absurd?”

“I don’t think it’s absurd.
