Chapter 1836 The Mysterious Visitor and the Tower‘

#

When the time came and Dark Night Island was left

leaderless, even if all the island’s forces had

banded together, they would have been nothing

more than a disorganized mob!

“Ms. Morgan, that’s not Emmanuel!”

Lonny, who had been monitoring the surveillance

closely, quickly informed Yasmine.

“Not Emmanuel?”

Yasmine rushed to check the footage. The figure

moved with remarkable agility and seemed

extremely familiar with the tower’s defenses. He

had entered the second floor unscathed and was

about to reach the third.

about to reach the third.

“It’s him?!” Yasmine was taken aback for a

moment.

“Should we intercept him?” Lonny asked

immediately.

“Send the order: don’t intercept him! Even if we

tried, we couldn’t stop him. Let him continue!”

She waved dismissively.

Once on the third floor, the cloaked figure faced no

further obstacles and ascended straight to the fifth

floor.

Seeing the chaos on the fifth floor, his eyes

widened slightly in surprise, but he quickly smiled.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a flash of black lightning shot toward

him.

It was the renowned Scarlet’s Whipping Dance,

representing the peak of martial prowess in the

Central Tower. Anyone else would have had no

chance to dodge, but the cloaked figure

sidestepped it effortlessly.

His expression remained unfazed.

“Oh, it’s you! That makes sense!”

Scarlet swiftly retracted her whip, her expression a

mix of emotions.

“Long time no see, Scarlet!

The cloaked figure greeted her with a warm smile,

as if meeting an old friend. His smile was

particularly captivating, especially to women.

“It has been a while, Xarri!”

Scarlet rarely respected anyone, but among the

elite fighters on Dark Night Islands, only three

earned her respect, and Xarri was definitely one of

them.

“Unfortunately, I’ve moved on. I can’t give you my

last whip!”

“Is that so? What a shame.” Xarri said, pulling back his cloak to reveal a devastatingly handsome face.

If he were outside, his looks would easily surpass

even the most popular young stars!

Yet, strangely, he didn’t consider himself

particularly handsome and appeared somewhat

disheveled.

“I’m here to see Her Majesty. May I pass?” Xarri

asked politely.

“Heh, I appreciate polite people!” Scarlet said with a

smile as she stepped aside. “Just a heads–up: the

woman upstairs isn’t in the best of moods right

now. Be careful, or you might not make it out alive!”

“Thanks for the warning!”

Xarri nodded confidently and continued toward the

Chapter 1836 The Mysterious Visitor and the Tower‘

sixth floor.

As she watched him leave, Scarlet found him

intriguing. He was so enigmatic, that even she

couldn’t fully grasp him.

“Which is stronger, The Northern Wolf Warrior or the

Southern Lannister?”

Scarlet wondered aloud. Although she had decided

to give her final whip to Emmanuel, she wasn’t

entirely sure Emmanuel was stronger than this

genius.

On the sixth floor of the tower, there were no more

warriors, only a few maids attending to Her Majesty.

When Xarri arrived, the maids naturally did not

Chapter 1836 The Mysterious Visitor and the Tower‘

dare to stop him.

Xarri, ever the gentleman, smiled kindly and didn’t

create any trouble. He walked straight to the

Queen’s chamber door and politely asked, “I’d like

to speak with the Queen. Could you please step

out?”

Before the surprised maids could respond, a voice

came from inside the room.

“Since my old friend is here, you may all leave. No

one is allowed to enter without my permission!”

“Yes!”

The maids hurriedly exited.

Xarri entered the room and greeted Her Majesty,

who sat regally in her high seat, with a smile.

“Ms. Morgan, it’s been a long time! You’re still as

youthful and elegant as ever!”

“Do you still remember calling me Ms. Morgan? I

almost died because of you!”

#

Her Majesty’s eyes flashed with a mix of annoyance

and anger as she glared at him, her full name

slipping out through clenched teeth, “Xarri!”

“Haha, of course, I remember. Mrs. Morgan brought

my sister and me to the Dark Night Islands!” Xarri

laughed heartily.

“Do you also remember that I saved your lives in

Chapter 1836 The Mysterious Visitor and the Tower‘

Zovince?”

@67%

Her Majesty’s anger flared even more.

“Ten years ago, a bloody conflict unfolded in

Zovince, where the Lannister family, the most

powerful ancient martial clan, was preparing to

hold a battle to decide their next head.”

The eldest brother, Victor, was set to face off

against the fifth brother, Eric.

Victor had always been the strongest symbol of the

Lannister family, but in that crucial battle, he lost to

his younger brother, all under the watchful eyes of

the public.

Chapter 1837 The High Stakes of Freedom and the Lo

As the price for his failure, Victor had to relinquish

his position as the family head and hand over three

of the Lannister family’s legendary manuals to his

younger brother.

One was the Parallel Palm.

Another was the Big Dipper.

And the third was the Dragon Tome.

However, Victor only handed over two of the

manuals and claimed that the Dragon Tome was

lost.

In a fit of rage, Eric, together with other branches of

the Lannister family, sought to eradicate Victor’s

Chapter 1837 The High Stakes of Freedom and the Lo

faction completely.

The once mighty Victor fell, and his son and

daughter were also hunted down, as people

suspected he had given the last manual to his

children.

Had it not been for Freya intervening and rescuing

the siblings, Xarri and Quell would certainly have

been killed by their own family members!

“I remember!” Xarri said, nodding seriously. “I’ll

never forget how you saved our lives!”

“Then why are you now joining forces with those

rebels against me?” Freya demanded, her anger

rising as she slammed her fist on the armrest of her

chair, causing her purple robe to flutter with her

fury.

Even so, Xarri continued to nod.

“Why?”

Freya was puzzled. “I went to great lengths to make

you the top assassin. With your talent and physical

prowess, you were perfectly suited for the role. All

you had to do was sincerely agree to serve me,

and I could have preserved your will and granted

you endless honor and wealth! Why refuse? Why

choose to become a prisoner instead?”

“That’s because…” Xarri paused and then bitterly

smiled. “Like Emmanuel, I crave freedom! Without

freedom, everything is just a mirage.”

“Heh…” Freya sneered. She truly couldn’t understand

the importance of freedom, so she couldn’t grasp

these two men’s choices.

“So, what are you here for now?”

After her sneer, she fixed her gaze on Xarri.

“I’m here to ask you to let us go. If you agree, I’ll help

you with one task free of charge, no matter what it

is!” Xarri said earnestly, but Freya’s only response

was another cold laugh.

Her smile was tinged with disdain; she hadn’t

expected the former leader of the Black Wolf Team

and the undisputed king of Dark Night Islands to

make such a ridiculous request!

Chapter 1837 The High Stakes of Freedom and the Lo

Xarri sighed, already knowing Freya’s response.

“From your expression, I guess you already know

the answer, don’t you?” Freya said coldly.

Freya asked coldly.

Xarri nodded.

“Do you have anything else to say?”

She asked again, her gaze growing increasingly

wary and aggressive.

“Yes!” He said seriously. “I’d like to request a few

pointers from you!”

She smiled silently, her beautiful eyes reflecting

wisdom. “Trying to exhaust my stamina to help

Emmanuel?”

Xarri nodded. Acknowledging that he couldn’t

deceive her, he didn’t see the need to lie.

“Advice is fine. But I’ll warn you in advance, you

might leave here with your life in jeopardy!”

Freya spoke frankly. “Since you’ve chosen to side

with the enemy of the Airspace Group, I’ll have no

choice but to eliminate you!”

Xarri sighed deeply. “I have no grudge against

Torris; I really don’t want to be your enemy!”

He firmly believed that his difference with Freya

was just a matter of differing identities and values,

which shouldn’t be a matter of life or death.

Chapter 1837 The High Stakes of Freedom and the Lo

“Stop talking nonsense! Anyone who comes here

cannot be considered an ally; they are my enemy!”

Freya declared, slamming her palm down and

unleashing a torrent of flames that engulfed Xarri.

Xarri was horrified!

With such power, he feared he might not be able to

withstand it!

On the battlefield atop the tower, no one knew the

outcome. Even the Alliance forces were unaware of

the earth–shattering battle taking place.

The Airspace Group made no move, while the allied forces took a day to reorganize their five units.

1227 Sun Sep 15

Emmanuel even allowed everyone a night’s rest to

recharge. The next day, they would regroup and

confront the Airspace Group for the final

showdown!

“Emmanuel, Claudette and I will be waiting for your

return here!”

Last night, Mackenzie had nestled in Emmanuel’s

embrace, spending the most beautiful and fleeting

time of the past month in the Black Wolf Team’s

accommodations.

As dawn approached and they had to part ways,

this strong and aloof woman did not express

reluctance but instead encouraged her husband

with decisive resolve. “Both the child and I believe in

you. You will achieve the final victory and bring us

Chapter 1837 The High Stakes of Freedom and the Lo

back to Yeringham!”

After a pause, she smiled again and said, “Go for it!

I want to be able to tell our future kids proudly that

their dad is an amazing hero!”

Emmanuel grinned and gently kissed her on the

forehead before heading into battle.

While the couple remained nonchalant, Aqua and

Aurora, who were waiting outside broke into tears

after hearing their conversation.

“Aurora, do me a favor. Please stay back and take

care of my pregnant wife and the unconscious

Claudette.” Emmanuel turned to Aurora and

sincerely made his request.

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

“Rest assured, Mr. Emmanuel! I will protect them

with my life until you return, safe and sound!”

Aurora clenched her fists and said with unwavering

determination. Upon hearing this, Emmanuel

nodded approvingly and left base camp along with

Aqua.

Outside base camp, the military might of the Dark

Night Islands were all lined up, greatly anticipating

the commander of the Allied forces!

“To battle!” Emmanuel roared with courage and

confidence, pointing toward the direction of the

Ivory Tower.

“To battle!”

“To battle!”

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

“To battle!”

The Allied forces, full of tenacity, yelled bravely as

they marched in different directions.

#

The troops hung a mask of determination to fight

till the death on their faces, each ready to make

the sacrifice during the battle. Deep down, they

knew that they had to defeat Airspace Group within

two days or face total devastation.

Among the Alliance troops was the Southern

Alliance. Rhett, riding a horse, led over 1000 men to

the southern region base camp. Although his

troops had the least number of seasoned generals,

the combined strength he had was still the most

fearsome and strongest among all the troops

within the Alliance.

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

It was known to all that invading base camp was

not the top priority. The crucial part was whether

they could secure the room that contained a push

button that controlled the docks. If the room was

secured, all they needed was for the other docks to

press their respective push buttons at the same

time and the gate to the docks will be opened.

The southern route was Emmanuel’s most trusted

route. If even the southern route failed, there

wouldn’t be any other routes that could lead them

to success! Rhett was also aware that he was the

ideal model for the troops. Hence, he was also

desperate to use the shortest duration to invade

the southern region’s base camp. All to keep up the

morale of the troops!

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

“Emmanuel, I see the dock!” Anna exclaimed.

Rhett and the others looked in the direction she

mentioned and saw the enormous gates of the

dock that were shut tight. It was the main obstacle

that stood between them and the hopes of

escaping Dark Night Islands.

Next to the docks was a heavily guarded military

base. Even though there were no guards outside

the base, it seemed that along the rims of the

base’s walls were countless pairs of eyes and guns

glaring at them threateningly. The death stares

from the enemy gave the troops an overwhelming

amount of pressure.

“Everyone, heed my command!” Rhett bellowed.

.

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

Just when everyone expected him to give the

command to charge, out of the blue, he yelled,

“Stand your ground!”

What?!

Everyone was shocked to the core and stared at

the leader of the southern troops. However, Rhett

remained expressionless. Suddenly, he jumped

down from his horse and charged toward the

enemy’s base all by himself!

“Rhett!” Anna and the others exclaimed.

#

Unfortunately, Rhett had given the order.

Emmanuel had specifically passed down the

decree that anyone who defied their leaders would

be executed. Hence, no matter how worried they

were, no one would dare to act rashly!

Cft+72 2

The next thing they knew, a wave of bullets came

flying toward Rhett. But all he did was flash his

cloak and move stealthily with agility, successfully

avoiding the fires from the enemy.

“Break!!” Rhett roared as he landed a strike on the

base’s entrance.

A deafening sound echoed across, it was as if the

whole world shook at his pounding. Alas! the gate

remained unscratched!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Once again, bullets came crashing down on Rhett.

a.

Chapter 1838 The Battie Begins

He was genuinely shocked but quickly concealed

his surprise and waved his cloak to block the

bullets from hitting him. As he blocked the bullets,

he arrived at the barricade. The guard who was

hiding in the barricade tried to change the

direction of his gun as quickly as he could.

However, seeing the hellish stare from Rhett was

like staring into the eyes of the Great Demon King

from Hell! The guard’s face paled and his

movements slowed down as he stared at Rhett.

“Break!!”

Rhett landed punch after punch onto the

barricade. This time, it broke with a deafening

sound!

“M–M–Monster!”

Chapter 1838 The Battle Begins

The guard inside the barricade was terrified. His

face turned as pale as a sheet and he fled for his

life!

Boom!

Rhett continued his pounding brutally, smashing

the wall into pieces!

The members of the Alliance were completely in shock at the sight of him, each member more amazed than the other. If they could, they would have bowed down before Rhett in worship!

With such a great general, why should they be

afraid of anything?

Their morale had certainly soared to new heights!

“Charge!”

Rhett kept it concise with just one word, but over

1,000 people were already boiling with enthusiasm,

roaring with anger and eagerness to fight!

“Charge!!*

For a long time, Anna and the Ophanim Clan already had intentions to kill the

members of Airspace Group. They were supposed to be the champions of

the Dark Night Islands, but they faced enslavement and oppression by the

Airspace Group. Today, it was finally time to end the years of humiliation!

Even they, the rightful champions, bore resentment towards the enemy, let

alone others.

With Rhett leading the southern troops who were united as one and following

an effective plan, the gate leading to the southern region base camp was

invaded successfully!

“Quick! Spread the news to the other troops immediately!” Anna cried out

after killing of the troop captains of the Airspace Group.

“Yes, ma’am!”

Chapter 1839 An Unexpected Encounter

Dead, Mad and two other warriors became messengers, responsible for

relaying the comings and goings of the southern route to the rest of the

troops personally. While they were ready to move out, Rhett was already on

his horse, charging towards the third floor of the camp which was also the

command base of the Southern region basecamp.

To be able to achieve such results within 2 hours was truly awe–inspiring!

Boom!

As he strode into the third floor with long steps, the members of the Airspace,

Group promptly retreated to the back, their eyes filled with fear. Right now,

fear had crushed their fighting spirit, they couldn’t bring themselves to fight

back at all!

Fortunately, Rhett was a person who didn’t care for weak individuals. Hence,

he refrained from killing them, sparing their lives.

However, as time ssed, more comrades gathered behind him. The scale of

the intensity of these people was enough to secure a victory in a

conventional war.

“Fools! All of you, get back!”

Suddenly, a voice echoed through, sending shivers down the spine,

Rhett, casually standing with his hands crossed, suddenly finched. This was

not the voice he had expected.

When did they change the guardian of the Southern base camp?

“Liana! Why are you here?”

Anna looked at Liana–equipped in full combat gear of the Airspace Group-

with utter disbelief in her eyes. In their minds, this wornan was just a rookie, To

be able to stay among the Ophanim Clan in the southern region was all

because she shared the same last name as Rhett

Who would have inought that after ten years of infiltrating the Ophanim Clan,

this woman had changed so much in the blink of an eye, becoming the

guardian of the enemy!

Chapter 1839 An Unexpected Encounter

Who could have imagined such a scene?!

“If it doesn’t involve you,“shut up!”

The usually silent and hardworking woman in the clan was showing disdain

towards Anna, one of the three titans in the Ophanim Clan!

“Boisterous!”

Anna couldn’t stand by and listen to the provocation, and charged without

hesitation at Liana.

Her speed amazed everyone behind her! Using her knee, she attempted to

strike Liana’s head, specifically aiming for that preposterous mouth of hers!

However, Liana merely squinted her eyes and an invisible force sent Anna

flying away from her!

The audience was completely stunned!

Anna lay on the ground, bleeding through her seven apertures. She couldn’t

believe the person standing before her!

Anna swallowed the rest of her words back into her throat. She not only

realized that Liana’s combat power was on par with Rhett’s. In fact, she could

very well be levels higher than him?!

“Rhett Flynn, don’t you want access to the docks? Well then, come with me!”

After Liana ignored the rest of the people present and provoked Rhett, she

walked into a room. The room had a door made with a high–tech alloy with

infrared sensors which will open the doors automatically when approached

by an individual.

But after they entered the room, anyone else who tried to follow through was

not granted access as the sensors did not respond!

As for trying to break into the room in hopes of backing up Rhett? Don’t even

mention blowing up the door, wind couldn’t penetrate through the walls!

Moreover, warriors Ch as Rhett and Emmanuel won’t even be able to leave

a scratch on the door!

Inside the room!

“Sir! The troops at the southern region have infiltrated the enemy’s base

camp!”

Emmanuel was leading the central troops into the central region when he

received the good news from the southern region.

11 as Mon Sep 16 to GB-

Aqua was unable to contain her excitement. “Unbelievable! Mr. Emmanuel,

did you see that? Mr. Rhett just set the standard! We’ve got to push forward

and secure that second base in the central region!”

Emmanuel caught the momentum and addressed the troops with renewed

energy. “Listen up, everyone! The Airspace Group isn’t as invincible as we

thought! Their military base can be breached! If we stay united and

committed, we’ll take down the central region just like the Southern Alliance

old!

Take down the central region!”

“Bring down the Airspace Group!”

Voices of the Doggo Team rose above the rest, their loyalty to Emmanuel

clear. Not wanting to be outshone, the Lynx Clan echoed the cheers; their

respect for their leader was evident.

Suddenly, the Ivory Tower’s gates groaned open, and a figure emerged.

#

Chapter 1940 The Turning Point

Trisha? What now? Emmanuel swiftly signaled for the troops to hold their

ground. Though the gates were wide open, he resisted the urge to charge

forward as something told him to wait.

“Trisha, what do you have for us this time?” He alighted from the horse and

approached her directly.

Trisha’s eyes swept over the eager troops before she turned to Emmanuel

with a knowing smile. “I’ve got two things you need to know, Emmanuel.”

He nodded, urging her to go on.

Trisha pulled out a phone, tapping the screen to play a video. The footage

showed elite soldiers in action; their precision and firepower were nothing

short of intense.

“The Holy Trinity’s next big move involves Dark Night Island. Warlord’s under

pressure to get right, so he’s rushing in backup, even sending bombers,”

Trisha explained, her tone serious. She added, “They’re heading to Dark Night

Island now. Theydoubtedly reach it in about 12 hours.”

Chapter 1840 The Turning Point

The news hit Emmanuel like a brick. His fists clenched, and his mind raced.

If the enemy’s arriving sooner, we’ve got to move quickly, he realized. By the

numbers, they’ll be here by 8 p.m. To avoid getting caught in their airstrike,

we must be at sea at least two hours before that. Which means we’ve only 10

hours to open the dock.

“The second thing is that Dr. Blake has managed to revive the Holy Nun, but

she’s in bad shape–paralyzed from the waist down, with only one

functioning hand. I need you to get her out of there,” Trisha went on, unfazed

by the weight of her words.

“Don’t ignore her, Emmanuel.” The warning in her voice was unmistakable.

“Don’t forget her.”

“Got it! I’ll take Sarah back and figure out how to heal her.” Emmanuel’s

resolve

lened, his fists tightening even more.

“Do what you must–no mercy. Plus, take care of yourself.” With that, she

turned and headed back to the base.

Chapter 1840 The Turning Point

He pondered, Why would the Ivory Tower let her deliver this message?

Indeed, Her Majesty is aware? Still, whatever Trisha’s destiny might be, one

thing is clear–the Alliance won’t lay a hand on her, even if she’s with the

Airspace Group.

Wasting no time, Emmanuel leaped back onto his horse and barked orders,

“Aqua! Get the word out to the others! Enemy reinforcements will arrive in

twelve hours! We must take the five key bases in the next ten hours! By 6 p.m.

tonight, we’ll hit the buttons at all five key bases and open the docks!”

The thousand men behind him shot nervous looks at each other, realizing the

gravity of the situation. Their hearts pounded, and their palms were slick with

sweat from the mounting pressure.

“Yes, Mr. Emmanuel!” Aqua spurred his horse, joined by Ostrich, Ironskull, and

the rest, charging off to relay the urgent orders to the other units.

Emmanuel point oward the Ivory Tower without hesitation, shouting the

command to charge as he led the way himself, “Attack!”
