"Caspian, if you had any sense at all, you'd know who he is!"

"You'd better stop showing off here, your mistress is waiting for you!"

Caspian looked back at Wren, who was standing in the rain with a pitiful expression.

"T'll deal with you when we get home!"

After leaving this threat, Caspian glared at us and turned to walk towards Wren.

"How did you end up marrying someone like that?" Lex asked, still as direct and to the point as ever, his words cutting deep.

I shook my head and laughed bitterly, "I was blind back then, thought I was the only one."

"Only now do I understand, I was the only one because the true love hadn't appeared yet."

Lex drove me home, and we chatted about many things along the way.

We talked about everything from our families to trending tourist spots, tactfully avoiding the topic of my marriage.

As I was getting out of the car, Lex suddenly called out to me.

"Willow, he doesn't deserve you."

"The Willow I know is a carefree woman who can fall out of love as easily as she falls in, who leaves without hesitation!"

I suddenly smiled.

"I know."

We grew up together, and Lex knows my personality too well.

He's afraid I might waver and cling to the relationship, ultimately ending up hurt all over.

So he deliberately provoked me a bit.

I took out my key, about to open the door, only to find that the key wouldn't turn.

I could hear Caspian and Wren's conversation from inside.

Wren is the sister that Caspian's stepmother brought along. They have no blood relation at all.

Caspian didn't respond for a while, but he opened the door for me.

My confusion grew deeper and deeper.

Wren frequently mentions my baby, always with a nervous expression.

Caspian too, whenever Wren brings up our child, he becomes much more lenient towards me.

"Come in! You'd better thank Wren, if it wasn't for her, you wouldn't be able to enter this house today!"

I sent a message to the locksmith company telling them they didn't need to come anymore, while changing my shoes and entering the house.

"I'm talking to you! Are you deaf?"

"Hurry up and apologize to Wren!"

Seeing me sit down on the sofa without acknowledging them, Caspian approached me, his face full of anger.

He grabbed my hair forcefully.

The difference in strength between men and women was too great, and coupled with my pregnancy and lack of energy, I had to yield to his direction. "Apologize to Wren!!!"

I kept my mouth tightly shut, refusing to speak.

We remained in a stalemate for a long time, and Caspian's force grew stronger and stronger.

I felt my scalp going numb, my chest getting tighter, and my breathing becoming more rapid.

Wren came forward and pushed Caspian away.

With a nervous expression, she stroked my belly, "Don't hurt the baby!"
