After the Secret Wedding Rise of My Queen -
Secret Wedding 213
Chapter 213 Xander Gave the Candy Factory to Isabel Samuel was shocked by Xander's words.
His older brother was actually planning to wash Isabel's clothes himself? He'd never once done his own laundry in his entire life! And to make matters worse, the clothes he was holding weren't just any clothes-they were underwear. Was he really serious? Didn't he find it gross?
As Samuel stood there in shock, he watched Xander actually start scrubbing it.
The sight hit Samuel like a wave, making him question both his life and the world itself.
After a brief moment of disbelief, Samuel turned and walked out of the villa, needing to get some fresh air to clear his head.
When Isabel woke up, she noticed that the clothes in the bathroom were gone.
"That's strange. Did someone break in?"
Even if a thief had come, it was hard to imagine they'd steal her clothes, especially dirty ones.
Could it be that the thief had such a peculiar taste?
No way...
As Isabel was lost in her thoughts, Xander's voice suddenly sounded behind her.
"What's wrong?"
Isabel turned to face him. "My clothes-"
"I took them to wash."
Huh?
Isabel instinctively opened her mouth slightly, staring at Xander with wide, disbelieving eyes.
"Y-You took and washed them?"
She stuttered as she spoke.
"Yeah, I washed them myself," Xander replied nonchalantly.
Isabel's mouth fell open even wider, and her mind couldn't help but picture the image of the man holding her underwear, rubbing it.
The worst part was there was blood on them.
"Y-You don't think it's dirty?" Isabel blurted out the question Samuel had been too stunned to ask.
"It's yours, how could I think it's dirty?" Xander replied, his gaze deliberately lingering on Isabel as he spoke. "From now on, I'll wash all your clothes." Isabel was speechless.
Xander pulled a package of sanitary pads from his pocket, something he had just bought for Isabel at the store.
"We ran out at home, so I picked these up for you."
"Thanks... "Isabel took the pads but felt an odd sense that something wasn't quite right.
"Actually, forget it. I'll wash it myself. I'm used to doing it myself."
"Are you embarrassed?" Xander asked, his gaze lingering on Isabel's earlobe, which, unsurprisingly, had a faint blush.
It was lovely.
And tempting.
Too bad she is on her period and feeling uncomfortable.
"Yeah! I mean, it's kind of awkward, I—" Isabel started, but was quickly interrupted by Xander.
"If you're embarrassed, how about this, I'll wash yours, and you can wash mine."
Isabel was dumbfounded.
Is that even a thing?
Wait, is this supposed to be fun? Isn't it better to just wash your own clothes? Why the need to switch and wash each other's?
What kind of hobby is that?
"By the way, I have something for you."
Xander returned to his room and handed Isabel a contract.
"What's this?"
Isabel took it, puzzled, but as she looked at it, her eyes widened in shock.
"T-this is-"
"This is the transfer agreement for the candy factory," Xander explained, pulling candy from his pocket and placing it in Isabel's palm.
It was from her favorite candy brand.
Isabel couldn't quite explain why she
loved this brand so much. Yes, the candy was delicious, but more
importantly, every time she ate in et
she felt a warmth and a sense of
familiarity that made it all the more
special.

Just yesterday, while buying candy at the convenience store, Isabel had wondered why it was becoming so difficult to find this brand. Was the factory producing it about to shut down?
If that were true, she thought, she'd find a way to buy the factory herself.
"I found out the factory making this brand was about to close, so I bought it. It's for you."
At his words, Isabel looked up, only to be met by his gaze-those deep, affectionate eyes filled with warmth and tenderness.
Suddenly, the calm waters of her heart were stirred, rippling uncontrollably, the waves growing stronger and stronger ...
"Thank you." Isabel finally couldn't take it anymore, averting her gaze and breaking eye contact with him.
At that moment, her heart felt a little chaotic. She didn't even know what to do with him anymore.
...
Richie was in his office handling paperwork when he suddenly received a call from Stan Fletcher.
"Richie, the task you gave me ... I wasn't able to get it done."
Richie paused, furrowing his brow. "What happened? Did the factory refuse the acquisition?"
"Not exactly. I spoke to the factory manager, and he said someone else had already purchased the factory."
"Already?" Richie's frown deepened.
His intention behind acquiring the factory was to ensure the continued production of this candy brand. Even if it meant taking a loss, he didn't care at all.
To him, the candy was the last connection he had with Leslie, who had passed away.
If the candy disappeared, he would feel an overwhelming sense of loss.
"Which company acquired it?"
He planned to track down the
company and find out their
เวนะ
intentions. they had acquired the factory to continue making the candy, that would be fine. But if they were planning to shift the focus to other projects, he would do whatever it took to get the factory into his hands.
With his years of experience and hard work, Richie's company was now among the top 100 in overseas markets. Most companies still respected his influence.
"It's the Bennett Group," Stan said.
"What?"
Richie's face displayed clear surprise.
If it had been any other company, it would be fine, but it was the Bennett Group.
As the wealthiest company in Solaria, acquiring the factory from him wouldn't be a simple task.
Why would they want to acquire this factory?
It was just a nearly bankrupt business...
As Richie thought about it, Isabel's bright, captivating smile suddenly flashed in his mind.
"Could it be her?"
"Who? Which her?" Stan asked, confused.
"Never mind."
After ending the call with Stan, Richie opened WhatsApp and tapped on his chat with Isabel.
They had exchanged numbers, but hadn't yet exchanged any messages.
Should he send her a message?
After a moment's hesitation, Richie finally typed out a message.
"When are you free to come over next week?"
Isabel replied almost immediately: "I'm free all week, any day works."
"Great, let's go with Wednesday afternoon."
"Alright, I'll be waiting for you at home."
Richie had originally planned to ask about the candy, but he felt it might be better not to bring it up over the phone. He decided to wait until next Wednesday when Isabel came over and found the right moment to bring
it up.
"Isabel, who are you chatting with? Is it your husband again?" Yvette asked, eyeing Isabel's phone.
"It's not him, just a friend," Isabel replied. But before she could say anything more, a sharp, piercing voice rang out from behind her. "Isabel, why don't you just die!" Laurel screamed, charging at her from behind.
