CHAPTER 62 HEARTBEAT

"That was a terrifying sight," I whisper looking wide eyed at the carpet, I see Luca nod in the corner of my eye.

Is that what it's going to be like when I have a baby? I'm scared now...

Luca wraps his arms around me seeing my discomfort, "flower it's going to be fine," I look at him

in horror.

"No it's not!" I exclaim.

"Well at least we get a good outcome," I sigh.

"Our pups due in a month Luca," I whisper, "a month for me to be terrified, great," I slap my legs.

"I know that," he replies rubbing my thigh trying to soothe me.

"Luca," I warn.

"What?" He asks confusion laced in his voice, he sniffs the air and stills, "ohhhh" he scratches

the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Yeah, I've been getting more...." I cringe.

"Horny?" I click my tongue.

"Yeah..." I awkwardly say, "oh can we set up our pups room!?" He nods, "first I want to go to the doctor," he sighs.

"I will call her," I nod and he calls her.

She arrives in a couple of minutes, "what seems to be the problem Luna?" She asks.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

"Can you hear that?" I ask, I just figured it out today.

They listen intently, Lucas eyes widen in surprise, "two heartbeats...." Oh no...

"THIS IS GOING TO BE SO PAINFUL!" I screech and stand up pacing.

Luca grabs my hands gently but I pull them away, "flower calm down," I shake my head.

"Luna I can give you a needle that will make you not feel any pain," I pause taking deep breaths.

"R-really?" She nods and smiles, I grin and fall back closing my eyes.

Hands grab my waist and I pout, "careful," I sigh, "can we know the gender?" She nods.

"We are going to have to go to the pack hospital though."

"Fine by me," I say.

"It appears that you are having a baby girl as well," she smiles, I grin.

"I told Storm that the first alpha baby can be a girl!" I exclaim grinning.

"Technically the boy was the first alpha baby," I glare pointing a finger at Luca.

"Stop ruining my theory!" He puts his hands up in surrender, smirking.

"Thanks Mackenzie," she nods and bows, Luca carries me home despite my protests of wanting to walk.

"I have two legs! Are you doing this because I'm fat? I'm not a queen!" He growls.

"Firstly you are not fat, it's our babies; secondly I want to carry you because you are my queen. Mine," I huff.

"Where are you even taking me!?" I exclaim noticing we aren't walking- I mean he isn't walking to the direction of our home.

"I'm announcing the news about our pups to the pack," he says and I whine annoyed.

"I just want a foot massage and a facial and watch hot guys on tv! That's all I ask," he growls gripping my waist.

"What did I tell you?!" He yells, "YOU'RE MINE!" I put my hands up in surrender, "I will give you a foot massage when we get home."

"I get it, I'M YOURS! But you're mine," I growl rearranging our position so my legs are around

his waist. "Oh and I don't protest with you giving me a foot massage..."

"What are you doing?" He asks, I frown.

"I-I don't want any females looking at you," I say snarling at any female we pass even though most aren't looking.

"That's a first," he mumbles.

"WHY AM I SO JEALOUS?!" He shrugs.

"I don't mind," I slap his back and it echoes.

"Ouch," he mumbles.

"I was hoping you would scream," I mutter.

"So you want me to get hurt?" He asks.

"Basically..." He huffs.

He starts walking up stairs and places me down, I look around to see our pack, "hello

everybody, I have asked you all to come today to make a huge announcement that will benefit

our pack and Lily and I, "I see people lean forwards in their chairs.

He looks at me, 'do you want to say it?' I nod.

"We are having two pups!" I grin, everyone stands cheering and congratulating us.

"What's the genders?"

"A boy and a girl," Luca says.

Storm and Tyler walk up the stage with their baby Heidi in their hands and I grin.

"Storm and Tyler have just had their first pup! Her names Heidi!" People cheer, basically everyone knows everyone around here.

We are all family.

We walk off stage to the 'after party' like I wanted to get that promised massage, I look at my feet and see they are even more swollen than yesterday.

My stomach is actually so huge but I'm a proud mamma, I sit down on a really big cushioned chair and bring out the foot rests.

Now this is my type of party....

I look around seeing everyone drinking and dancing, I was never a fan of alcohol anyway. Storm sits next to me with Heidi in her arms and I grin, "she's so cute," Storm smiles and hands her to me.

Heidi looks up at me with her big blue eyes and reaches her arms out, I gently grab her hands and she smiles gurgling.

"Awe," I coo.

"I didn't know you were having twin pups," she says.

"Neither did Luca and I," I say.

"When did you find out?" She asks me and I hand her Heidi.

"Just an hour ago then we went to see doctor Mackenzie, how has this little rascal been?" I say tickling her, she giggles and Storm smiles.

"She's woken us up four times last night, I made Tyler get her because I was still sore," I nod.

"I bet our children are going to be the best of friends," I say and she nods in agreement.

I look up in time to meet Luca's blue eyes, Tyler stands next to him with a bottle of beer; they are looking at the both of us.

I smile softly at him and he winks at me, he whispers something to Tyler and they walk over to us beers in their hands.

Luca bends down and lifts my feet up, he sits on the foot rest and places my feet on his lap while Tyler lifts Storm who is holding Heidi and sits down with Storm and Heidi on his lap. "Foot massage!" I grin and he chuckles rubbing my feet.

I moan enjoying it, "uhh that's so good!" I look down noticing the massive bulge in his pants.

I always wonder how that fits...

"This is the life," I whisper.

"This is," Storm replies.
