Alpha Queen
Chapter 30

Liviana’s POV

I woke up to a knock on my door. I g*****d and covered myself in my blankets as the door opened.

“Liviana, you need to prepare for school” I heard Dante’s voice. I g*****d again and lazily got up.

“I’ll be down in 20” I said and he nodded before closing the door. I huffed and got out of bed.

I went to my bathroom and took a quick shower before dressing up into my usual school clothes.

I got my back pack and went down.

“Good morning, Alpha” Theresa greeted me.

“Good morning” I said as I grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter then headed to the door.

“Where do you think you’re going without eating breakfast?” Dante said appearing from the goddess knows where.

“I don’t eat breakfast before school” I shrugged. He raised a brow at me.

“You will now” he said then dragged me back to the kitchen and made me sit down on the kitchen stool.

“I don’t want breakfast” I frowned.

“You don’t want it but you need it” he said and took my apple before putting down a plate in front of me.

“I don’t need it. I’ll have lunch later anyway” I said.

“You eat at school. They barely serve enough food that fits a werewolf’s appetite” he said and gave me a stacks of pancakes and bacon.

Dante reminds me so much of my dad, Dimitri. He was never a fan of me leaving for school without eating breakfast.

If only Dante’s daughter didn’t die, he could’ve made such a wonderful father too.

I sighed before digging into the food.

Dante just watched me eat as he made himself some coffee and drank it.

“Can I drive you to school?” he asked hopeful and I looked up at him.

I can tell how much he wanted to do it.

How much he wanted to do things that he could’ve done for his own daughter but didn’t get the chance to.

“Do you want to?” I asked him. He nodded vigorously. I chuckled.

“You’ll have to pick me up too then” I said. He nodded.

“Of course” he said with a wide smile.

I finished up breakfast quickly and we went out together. We took my motorbike to school instead of a car.

It didn’t take too long for us to arrive to school.

Dante dropped me off in front of our school and I could feel everyone staring in our direction.

“Have a great day, princess” he said slightly ruffling my hair.

“I get off at 3:30pm. If you can’t pick me up, I can ask a friend to drive me home” I told him. He shook his head.

“I’ll be sure to pick you up later. I don’t trust anyone with you anyway” he said with a shrug and we both chuckled.

“Thank you…uncle” I said and he gave me a warm smile.

“You’re welcome, Liviana” he said with a gentle smile.

I waved him goodbye and I went inside the campus and to my locker and saw Blake waiting there.

Our eyes met and he smiled at me widely. I almost ran to him as I gave him a hug.

Finally.

“You missed me huh” he teased and I playfully rolled my eyes.

“I thought you didn’t want to be my friend anymore” I said. He pouted.

“I would never not want to be part of your life. Even with ‘everything’ I had found out” he said as he hugged me tighter.

“You were avoiding me” I pointed out. He chuckled.

“I just had a lot on my mind that time. I’m sorry” he told me.

“It’s okay. I understand” I told him and he gave me a small smile before kissing the top of my head.

A growl resonated in the hallway and I saw an angry Luan walking towards out.

Oh ghad.

I immediately went in front of Blake to cover him but he pulled me back and hid me behind him.

Luan reached us and he immediately held on to Blake’s collar with a snarl but Blake didn’t even look fazed.

“Don’t you fcking dare to touch my mate ever again” Luan warned Blake.

“I don’t care if she’s your mate. She’s my friend and I’ve been with her way longer than you. If you can’t deal with that, then that’s not my problem anymore. But you can’t keep away” Blake said and Luan growled lowly at him then grabbed Blake’s neck.

I moved and immediately held his wrist to stop him from strangling Blake or ripping his throat out.

“Stop it” I said sternly and Luan looked at me with furious eyes.

“You’re siding with him?” he said in disbelief.

“This isn’t a situation to pick sides.

Let him go before you hurt him” I said as I tightened my grip on his wrist.

Luan looked at me in disbelief before glaring at Blake and letting him go.

“I thought we were doing well. I guess not” he said before walking away and I saw how his eyes lightly lit up in pain.

I closed my eyes tightly and massaged my temples.

I did not want this to be the start of my day.

“What’s wrong with him?” Luan said annoyed as he aggressively fixed his shirt.

“We…uhm we’re normally possessive and territorial specially with their…mates. I guess he didn’t appreciate how platonic we were with each other” I explained. He raised his brow curiously.

“It’s a werewolf thing huh” he whispered. I nodded.

“So you’re possesive and territorial too?” he asked. I shrugged.

“Not really. I guess the mate bond doesn’t work on me as well as it does to others” I admitted. He chuckled.

“Are you sure you’re a werewolf? Because I think I’m the more possesive and territorial one between us” he whispered to me and we both chuckled.

“Come on. Let’s get you to class” he just said and walked me to class with his arms around my shoulder.

I tried mind linking Luan to no avail.

“Amaris, can you contact Luan’s wolf and tell him to let Luan know that I want to talk?” I mind linked Amaris.

“I hate that you always manage to hurt our mate, Liviana” Amaris replied upset.

“I didn’t mean to, Amaris. Blake is family. He always was and he always will. He needs to understand that” I replied making my point.

“You’re clueless” she replied and shut me off.

I sighed.

Great.

Now, my mate and wolf are both upset with me.
