Chapter 69

Liviana’s POV

Luan stood beside my bed without a word as he stared at me blankly.

He’s been like that since he came in.

“Are you just going to stand there like a statue or something?” I said but he didn’t answer.

The cold shoulder he’s giving me is a new side to him that I’m only experiencing now.

Atleast he’s not leaving like last time without goodbye.

“Okay. I guess you aren’t ready to talk yet” I said in defeat as I got out of my bed.

Luan grabbed me by the arm to stop me.

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” he asked with his brows furrowed.

“Oh so you’re talking now” I said with a smirk. Luan frowned at me.

“I’m going to my office. I haven’t started on the documents I need to do since you and Andre decided that it would be a good idea to start fighting inside my office earlier” I simply said and lightly pulled my arm out of his hold before walking to the door.

“You should go home. I don’t think being around me is the best idea for you right now” I said and Luan looked at me blankly.

“You’re right” he said coldly. My heart clenched but I gave him a small smile before leaving the room.

I went to my office and locked it so no one could come in.

I sat there for a moment without doing anything.

Why do I feel like this right now?

I’m at fault so I should expect this already.

Karma has got me good, I guess.

But what was I supposed to do?

Should I have driven out someone who saved my life not once but twice my whole life just my mate wouldn’t get jealous?

It’s not like I like it when other males flirt with me.

In fact, I hate it.

The only flirting I can tolerate is Luan’s.

I never tell him that but that’s how I feel.

I sighed before grabbing a bunch of documents and started working.

I don’t think I’m going to be sleeping much tonight.

That’s for sure.

I worked on the documents all night and ended up falling asleep on my desk.

I woke up with a low g***n as my whole body ached.

Damn it.

I got up and went back to my room to shower and get ready for school.

After that, I went down to the living room.

I caught a glimpse of Luan in the kitchen but decided that it would be a good idea to stay out of his sight.

I skipped breakfast and went straight out to my motorbike.

It’s would be a good idea to just go to school by myself like I always have.

I don’t want another heated argument with Luan right now.

We’re both very sensitive right now so if worse comes to worst, we really might end up hurting each other in the worst way possible.

I got on my motorbike after wearing my helmet then immediately drove off.

This is a good idea, right?

“Did you just leave on your motorbike?” El mind linked me.

“Yes” I simply replied as I sped up.

“What? Why?” he asked.

“I’m giving Luan the space he needs. I know he doesn’t want to see me right now” I replied.

“I don’t think so” El replied. My brows furrowed confused.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Luan is furious right now that you left” he replied. I sighed.

What does his expect me to do?

He agreed to me last night so I figured I’m doing the right thing.

“I’ll see you in school later or when we get back to the pack house” I replied and cut off the link.

I sped up even more until I finally arrived at school.

“Livi!” Katie squealed when she saw me and hugged me.

“Goodmorning” she said with a wide smile.

“Morning” I said with a yawn. Katie’s brows furrowed at me.

“Is something wrong? You look like you haven’t really slept” she asked. I gave her a small assuring smile.

“I just needed to finish some documents last night so I couldn’t sleep much” I explained and she looked at me with a pout.

“My poor Livi” she said in her tiny voice as she cupped my face. I chuckled.

Katie walked me to my class.

I took a nap until the professor came.

I wasn’t even listening the whole day.

I was too tired and sleepy.

When lunch came, I sent Katie a text that I couldn’t join her because I wanted to sleep so she ended up going to me.

She ate lunch while I took a nap.

Katie is a blessing to me, really.

After that, we went made our way to our afternoon classes.

And for a moment I wished I just skipped my classes.

I saw Luan by the lockers with that human girl.

Luan was leaning on the locker while the girl had her arm extended and her hand on the left side of Luan.

The girl traced down his chest with her point finger in a flirty way.

“So, my house later?” she asked seductively.

I clenched my fists.

I can’t take this bullsht right now.

Instead of going to my class, I went to the field and below the bleachers.

I stayed there the whole afternoon trying to calm myself down so I wouldn’t hurt anybody.

Amaris was beyond furious.

We didn’t expect to see Luan like that with another girl.

And he said he doesn’t take interest in other women except his mate.

I should have known better.

What did I even expect?

I guess I should expect this from him after everything, right?

Just before the bell rang, I went back to school to drop off my things before going home.

I put my things in my locker as the bell rang which means school has ended and I totally skipped my afternoon classes.

Great.

Then, Blake and Katie came.

“What’s up?” Blake greeted as he ruffled my hair. I gave him a small smile.

“Is everything okay?” he suddenly as with his brows furrowed.

“Just a little tired, that’s all” I lied.

Blake sighed as he lightly pulled me to him for a hug. Katie also hugged me from the back so I was sandwiched between them.

“We’re recharging you” Blake said and I chuckled.

“I know Blake stinks but bear with it for a little while, Livi” Katie teased and then we let go.

“I don’t stink!” Blake complained and Katie stuck her tongue out to him.

“Yes you do” Katie teased and they started bickering.

Blake and Katie walked me to the parking where my motorbike was.

Then, we saw Luan standing beside my motorbike.

My brows furrowed.

What’s he doing here?

Luan turned to look at us and his brows furrowed at me.

I stopped walking before we reached Luan.

“You two should get going now. I’ll see you again tomorrow” I told Blake and Katie. They agreed and we hugged before they walked away.

I took a deep breath and put on a blank face before walking to my motorbike.

I ignored Luan and grabbed my helmet.

“What do you think you’re going?” he asked annoyed as he grabbed me by the wrist.

I looked at him with a glare.

“None of your business” I hissed at him before aggressively pulling my hand from his hold.

Luan growled lowly at me.

“What the fck is wrong with you?” he hissed back at me but I kept ignoring him.

“Liviana” he said in a warning tone as he grabbed me by the arm.

“Get your hands off of me” I said with a more dangerous warning tone.

“What’s happening with you? I’m the one who should be pissed with you” he said in an annoyed tone.

I rolled my eyes.

“You—“

“Luan baby!”

We both turned to look at the human girl from earlier as she approached our direction.

This witch.

What’s she doing here now?

“Luan baby, I thought we were going to my place today” the girl said as she clung onto Luan’s arm.

My brows furrowed and my b***d boiled.

I shook off Luan’s hand on my arm then I glared at the girl.

“Who is she?” the girl asked with a raised brow as she pointed at me.

“Get your hands off him” I said in a warning tone.

The girl raised her brow at me even more.

“Why would I?” she taunted. I chuckled in disbelief.

“Because he’s mine” I said almost in a growl.

The girl laughed like a witch.

“You?” she said and then looked at me up and down.

I frowned.

The nerve of this woman.

“I don’t think you’re Luan’s type. Right, Luan baby” she said as she bat her eyelash at Luan.

Luan looked at her then at me.

My b***d boiled even more.

“I warned you” I said and then grabbed the girl’s hair before dragging her away from Blake.

She screamed and shouted curses at me before I threw her by the field.

“You btch!” she screamed and tried to attack me but I dodged her and she tripped and fell.

“I told you. HE’S MINE” I said sternly then walked away.

“Liviana” Luan said as he held my by the arm.

I slapped him.

Luan looked shocked but I only looked at him with furious eyes.

“I know that you’re mad at me but this? I can’t believe you’re capable of this” I said.

Luan’s brows furrowed as he looked at me.

“You let other guys around you all the time. Why is it so wrong that I’m doing the same now?” he said. My brows furrowed.

“So you did this to get back at me?” I asked in disbelief.

“So what if I did?” he said and my jaw almost dropped to the ground.

I clenched my fists.

“I’m so fcking disappointed in you” I said and pulled my arm away from him before getting on my motorbike and driving off.

My hands tightened on the handles as I sped up.

Then I felt the wet substance on my face again as my heart clenched in pain.

Why am I hurting this way?
