Chapter 114: Preparations for the Luna

Penelope "Let's all get to work! Naomi and Andrew are getting the flowers! Roger...over here, the table! There's so much to do!" shouted Ruth.

It had been days of preparation, and she was so stressed that everything had to be perfect. She had dedicated days to organizing all the details, she was convinced this was the event of the century and the rest of the packs would remember it for years to come.

"Mom...please..." Nate said, but she scolded him.

"Don't tell me to calm down, Nathaniel! There is so much to do...and if you had waited a little longer, we would have had more time to make a bigger ceremony! As it should be!!" she said angrily as I hid myself behind a flower arrangement. "She's upset..." he says when he finds me.

"My mother doesn't understand... it's different when the mate is a chosen one... with a destined mate... no wolf can hold back. I want you to be my Luna, right now," he says.

"I don't have a wolf... I just want to be yours... officially," I told him, and he was delighted.

I only dreamed of being with him, of being together forever, and I had to admit that I was a little nervous about being officially introduced to the whole pack.

But Nathaniel had done everything he could to distract me, taking me to see how quickly the rebuilding of the houses was progressing and all the improvements to the pack.

Not only had houses and other buildings been constructed and the borders fortified... but the atmosphere was better, there was trust, community, respect; between wolves, humans, and those who were rogues.

It seemed to me that Moonstone was slowly becoming a great place to live.

"Come... I want to show you something," Nathaniel says, taking me by the hand through the pack, until I saw a big house under construction.

"Our house... what do you think? It's going to be a few steps away from the forest, our forest, which will be very protected, and beyond that is the tree house. But of course I want you to tell me your opinion and impressions... "he says somewhat edgy.

It was still under construction, but I could tell it was beautiful. I walked around and saw all the rooms and could imagine my life here.

The rooms for our children, the door always open for everyone to come in, a big kitchen to bring everyone together. A small room for me to lie down and read, an office for both of us, and a space in the back for the wolves to come and eat. It was perfect.

"It's beautiful, Nate. I can see it, our home...and it's going to be wonderful.... "I say, and he hugs and kisses me.

"Oh my mate! It will be just the way you want it, anything you want, you will have it," he said happily.

"It's a dream...," I say, and he looks at me with love.

"The least I can do is try to make you happy"

"I am already happy because I have everything I need, my Alpha..." I say and he takes my face.

"Of course we'll rebuild the tree house too, it's necessary for the Luna and Alpha to have their own place... far away from everyone. We need some time together, you know...some time for you and me, you and me alone...to enjoy each other's company," he says, giving me an enraptured kiss.

"Nate... " I say as I deepen the kiss and he caresses my back. His hands go to my ass, and he presses me against him, I can almost feel his hardness and I gasp.

We had moments like this all the time, and I felt like I was on fire. I wanted to be with him, alone, enjoy sweet and spicy moments with my mate. Suddenly he sighed and rested his forehead on mine.

"We have to wait for the ceremony..." he says sadly, as if it hurts to stop kissing me.

"I need you, Nate..." I say panting.

"And I need you... you don't know how much... but you'll see, our first night after the ceremony... will be fantastic, at least that's what everybody say," he exclaims.

"Well... I look forward to it," I say, biting my lip. I mean, all of our encounters have been really fantastic, each one of them.

"On my Luna... you make everything harder!" he says, laughing.

"Go, they must be waiting for you, my mom is running around like crazy and so is Naomi and Rebecca," he says and gives me a light slap on my butt that makes me even hornier. "Tonight... you will officially be my Luna, my precious Luna," he says, looking at me with adoration.

"Tonight..."

"Tonight I won't let go of you, my mate, remember that. Hunter and I are crazy about you. I'm waiting to tell everyone that you're mine..." he says with a mischievous grin.

I walk, smiling like a fool, towards the room where they will prepare me, thinking about that kiss and the exciting promises of tonight. When I enter the room distracted, and I find many people waiting for me.

"Penny!"

"Get the bathroom ready!"

"Dressing room ready!"

"She's finally here! It has to look perfect!" shouts Ruth.

"You're going to be the most beautiful bride in the world!" Marianne says happily.

In no time I am in the bathroom, in the middle of bubbles, creams and perfumes. Then, someone start to work on my skin, my nails, my hair while I am in a robe.

"Oh, it's going to be such a beautiful ceremony," Cornelia said excitedly as she dried my hair and started to make me some curls. I had creams on my face and my hair in rolls, everything at once.

They were all so excited and busy, already dressed up, that I smiled with gratitude for all this wonderful women: Ruth, Rebecca, Marianne, Harriet, Cornelia... I adored all them.

"We brought food and drinks!" my brothers appeared with trays and bottles of champagne.

"Thank you guys! But you have to leave, only women are allowed here!," Ruth says, shooing them away as they entertained themselves by stealing kisses from Marianne. "Good luck, sister!" they shouted, looking at me as if I had been kidnapped.

My girls have prepared a beautiful lilac dress for me, and they dedicate to apply makeup on me, feeding me, and generally pampering me.

"Ohhh yeah girl...you are ready" said Marianne and when I looked in the mirror I looked like another Penny.

"You look...beautiful, my girl," Harriet says, looking at me lovingly. Ruth was almost in tears.

"A real Luna!" said Naomi, jumping up and down.

They hadn't made any big changes to me, I was still Penelope, the girl who worked as a waitress in the restaurant, the one who knew everyone in town.

I still had my curves, my long hair, my cheeks that looked very big to me, as well as my thick legs and my thick arms.

The neckline was nice and everything looked wonderful on me, I was really pleased, and I knew Nate would love it. I felt comfortable, happy.

But something in me had changed. I was the same Penelope, but also the one who had fought vampires, against her violent ex-boyfriend, the one who had escape from their enemies.

I had also defeated my insecurities, my traumas, my fears.

Fear would always be there, but I knew I could defend myself, and even more so now that I had more people to protect. More people that I loved, my big family.

"Those beautiful curves, you look gorgeous! So sexy!" Marianne exclaimed.

"You look beautiful Luna...you always have, but now...you're going to take everyone's breath away," Ruth said as she hugged me. We had problems in the beginning, but she has been an important guide in my path.

"You bet! Your Alpha is unbearable asking when you're going to be ready, but I think when he sees you...his eyes are going to pop out!" Harriet says, and we all laugh.

As I walked out, to the big space where all the events were taking place and all the wolves were gathered, I could see that the arrangements were beautiful.

There were little lights all around and lots of colorful flowers. Ruth had spared nothing, it was a little paradise. It felt like something special, like this moment had been waited and had finally arrived.

"I don't think I've ever felt so proud and honored. Your mother...she would be happy, I know she is," my father says with tears in his eyes and I hug him.

"Dad...I am so grateful to have you here with me today and always...thank you for everything. I don't know what I would be without you," I tell him, and he sobs even more. I almost started to cry, and the ceremony hasn't even started yet! "Come on... I don't want your makeup ruined because of your silly old father," he says.

I walked next to him, looking around at all the people in the pack, including the former rogues, the people of Belle Springs, and far beyond that, my wolves. Everyone I loved was here.

But they all seemed to have disappeared the moment I saw them. Nathaniel looked gorgeous, I don't think I'd ever seen him so beautiful, his bright eyes sparkling.

He was wearing a black suit that seemed to be tailored to his so perfectly. I wanted us to run away immediately to a secluded place where I could have him the way I wanted him.

He was standing next to his mother and grandmother, and as soon as he saw me... he stood there with his mouth open and a dark look on his face that made me shiver.
