"Alpha!" everyone yelled as soon as they saw Nate.

"I need explanations NOW!" says Nate as he puts me behind him and I look out.

"Alpha... we found evidence that this warrior was planning to enter Penelope's house... he was armed for an attack," Roger says and Nate roars powerfully.

I see everyone shaking and instead of being scared, my first reaction is to hug him and feel his chest calm down.

"Is it true?" asks Nate and looks at Collin.

"It's all lies! It's all to blame on this human!" shouts Collin, but his look is filled with hatred for me, and it doesn't go unnoticed by Nate.

"Silence!" he shouts, looking at Naomi, who is practically on top of Collin.

"Alpha...we found this," she says throwing a gun and I feel an invisible force coming from Nate.

It must be his aura, I've never felt it before, it's really strong, although it doesn't affect me like it does the others.

Everyone lowers their heads and Colin becomes quiet and still.

"Besides, this Alpha, Collin had a letter with instructions. No doubt, he is a traitor and wanted to attack our Luna." Naomi explains.

"He confessed himself Alpha..." says Roger.

"None of what they say is true!" says Collin trembling.

Nate leaves me at Roger's side and approaches Collin, lifting him by his shirt with one hand, his feet floating in the air, and he looks completely nervous.

"Tell me the truth... I'm not in the mood for bullshit," he mumbles, angry and annoyed.

"I..."

"It's a big mistake to lie to your Alpha, Collin... you pay for it with blood."

"Nate... we are friends... we always have been."

"Speak!" Nate shouts and looks into his eyes, and I know that he is using the Alpha command. The warrior has no choice but to tell the truth.

"She's a stupid human... a fat bitch we used to laugh at! I used to make her fall and kick her ass myself! A dirty human can't be a Luna! That's the truth!" he says stupidly, realizing too late that he screwed up. Nate roars and I can see the veins in his arms bulge as he quickly grabs the warrior's neck and squeezes, strangling him.

"According to our law, insulting the Luna, the mate of one of our kind, let alone an attempt on his life... is an offense payable with death," Nate says with a roar.

I cover my face as I hear the sound of bones breaking. When I open my eyes again, the warrior is lying on the ground, staring blankly. Andrew drops the bat and sits on the porch, watching in fear.

No one says anything, but it seems that justice has been done. I don't know what to think, I already knew that werewolves take their laws very seriously, I had experienced it myself a long time ago. "Collin had clear instructions, this man may have come alone, but he is no doubt working with others," Naomi says.

Nate gives orders to secure the entire area and investigate further. A moment later, he hugs me.

"I know you're nervous and that you didn't like seeing this mate. The bond has brought us closer, and I can feel what's going on in your head and heart.

"It's just that I feel like it's my fault..."

"Penelope, you are Moonstone's Luna, and everyone needs to start respecting you. It was his choice to do this. And to be honest, it's my fault. I should have controlled him a long time ago. Roger told me I was causing trouble with the warriors, he had already insulted you and I did nothing," he says, stroking my hair and then running his fingers through my mark.

"Maybe I should hide my mark for a while..." I suggest and can see that he doesn't like the idea.

"Just for a couple of days... until..." I say.

"Until all this is over and you are proclaimed my Luna, I don't like it, but I understand," he says and kisses me on my forehead.

"I need you with me, mate...I want you to come live with me, I won't feel comfortable if I don't have you around all the time," he confesses to me and soon I'm at his house.

Ruth is waiting for me and she and Naomi are totally focused on me.

I hope nothing bad will happen, I pray that nothing bad will happen.
