Narrator's POV: Dracula's cave:

He watched with excitement building up, as she fought against the shackles which thought only him could see. He knew quite alright that she was powerful, the prophesies had revealed so but he just did not know she was that powerful. Even inside of his cave, she still broke his spell and that could only mean one thing...

She was probably stronger than him.

She pulled against the metals that held her prisoner, an evil look in her eyes as she glared up at Dracula. He was floating right above her, the smirk on his lips taunting her to a point where she felt like ripping him to pieces. "Let me go!" He chuckled, folding his arms across his chest. "Why should I do that?" He asked, mocking shock plastered on his face as he acted like she had just asked the most ridiculous question. "I want you to take over the throne and you have refused to cooperate, do you think I would let you go, now that I have finally gotten a hold on you?"

She roared, pulling aggressively at the invisible chains. "You bloody idiot! How dare you try to force me into doing what I do not wish to?" She growled dangerously. "Release me now!"

"Release yourself," was all he said, walking away from her. He moved out of the throne room, saying some incantations and snapping his fingers in the air. The once quiet cave spring to life, and he went towards the dungeons, leaving his grand daughter to herself.

His steps where fast and sure, as he smiled evilly to himself, too proud of what he had done. He had to give her some form of trigger and if he had figured her out correctly, he hoped that she would be gone by the time he returned. "Dracula," the guard at the door of the gaol, bowed to him as he walked through, heading straight to the part that was reserved for royalty; where the twins had been kept. He two in the sight of the two very angry young men, who wore sneers on their identical face as he approached them. "Hi boys!"

Jason hissed at him, slamming had against the bars. Angelo only groaned, maintaining his usual calm posture on the floor while his eyes sent a different message. He was furious and if by chance he got his hand on Dracula at that moment, there was no doubt that he would have shredded him to pieces.

"I see you both are very pleased to see me," he mocked, the same expression whirling in his eyes. "I am very pleased to see you both too!"

"Go to hell and burn to ashes," Jason snapped, his nose flaring with anger. "Let me out of here now, or-"

"Or what?" His voice came out daring, sizing up Jason like he were a little piece of stick that he could break at his will. "What will you do? What can you do even?"

Jason stood glaring, but not a single word left him.

"Ah," Dracula said, nodding mockingly. "That was exactly what I thought. Now, where were we before you interrupted?"

Nobody seemed to have been interested in the conversation, because no one bothered to remind him.

"I remember," he spoke enthusiastically, his face forming into fake realization. "I was talking about your sister, wasn't I?"

Just as he had expected, he received curious groans and hisses from both men, satisfied that his taunting skills were good enough to extract a reaction out of them.

He smirked. "We were together today, we spoke a lot you know..."

"Stay away from her!"

"Do not drag her into this mess, she is happy as she is," Angelo spoke, his demeanor still calm, but there was a sharp edge to his voice. His grandfather's eyes turned to him and he met his with just the same determination as him. "Do not let the same thing repeat itself, no matter how cold you heart is, I know you still regret betraying our mother."

"She betrayed me first!" Dracula yelled, his eyes turning a blood red as his temper rose. "If she truly was my daughter, she would have listened when I told her to!"

"You know that he would have kill her if she didn't leave, she had to save herself!" It was Angelo who yelled this time. "Do you know he is out there? He has been tracking down Chloe for months!"

All the men stiffened, except Angelo. Very slowly, two pairs of alike green eyes were on him, their faces pale with fear and shock. "What?" they both asked in disbelief.

A snort left Angelo. "Yeah," he started. "At least someone will now listen to what I have been trying to say," he past an accusing glare to his brother and Jason lowered his eyes in shame. "I saw he yesterday in her memories, she had felt him when he was far up in the trees," he ended with an exhausted sigh.

Amidst his worries, Draculas thoughts started to spin and his heart raced with excitement as he realized just another amazing ability Chloe possessed. He invaded Angelo's thoughts and saw what he saw, his eyes glowing with admiration and pride as she felt and saw him even if he was far behind her.

The hind sight.

That ability was not common amongst regular vampires. It as also rare amongst the special borns and many took years to master that particular one. He couldn't wait to see what more abilities she had, she was full of sur- "Why am I hearing this just now?!"

Jason's loud tone caused Dracula to come out of his thoughts. Jason glared at Angelo accusingly and Angelo shut him an equally shape glare. "That was exactly what I was trying to tell you, before you barged in here and got us both locked up!"

Jason muttered a string of profane words under his breath. He paced the cell impatiently, his nose flaring as his insides bubbled with anger. Suddenly he paused, pointing an accusing finger at Dracula. "Did you put Vodos up for this?" Dracula huffed in disbelief, feeling insulted by the accusation. "I am not stupid to do that, you know how important she is to me! Unless..." he trailed off, his gaze turning accusing towards Jason. "Did you want your father to help assassinate your sister, so you could be the next coven Master?"

Jason growled, his fist gripping the metal bars tightly until his knuckles turned white. "I don't want your stupid throne, I never did!"

"Oh... really?"

"Yes Dracula," he hissed. "I hate Vodos just as much as I hate you and he would be the last person I would ever reach out to for help!" He paused, his chest heaving heavily as he drew in angry breaths. "If anything happens to that girl-"

"Nothing will happen to her," Dracula snapped. "I wi kill anyone, who touches even a hair on her head?"

Jason snorted, while Angelo threw his head back and laughed in sheer amusement. "Are you for real?" He asked, cocking a brow at Dracula. "Whenever did you grow to love her so much?"

Dracula narrowed his eyed at him, his lips pursed with an annoyed look taking over his features. "Whenever did I say I did not like her?"

"It is not something you need to say," Jason retorted. "You killed her parents because they had her after all," he stated with the rolling of his eyes.

"Very wrong presumption, very wrong!" Dracula said, putting on a serious expression. "I did not get anybody killed, they died because of their own stupidity."

"Excuses," Jason muttered under his breath.

Dracula ignored him, like he had not heard what Jason had just said. "If only they had given me the girl like I wanted them to, we wouldn't have gone as far as going into war!" His facial muscles strained as he seemed to be recalling a bitter memory. "My daughter would still be here," he ended in a whisper.

The twins were silent for a moment, not like they were taking part in Dracula's grief, they were both occupied in their own separate thoughts and then, Angelo came up with an idea.

"What if we deal with Vodos first, then we bother about our differences later? For now, we have to think of a way to protect Chloe first."

Dracula thought about it for a moment, then gave a stiff nod. Without sparing either of them a glance, he turned around and started to walk out of the place. "Hey!"

He paused, turning to look at Jason who had yelled.

"Are you not forgetting something?"

Dracula looked to be in thought, perhaps considering a suitable reply for Jason's question. "The last time I remember, there is nothing in here that I wish to take with me." "Are you sure?"

"Yep," he replied curtly.

Angelo scoffed. "You need us, don't you think you do?"

Dracula shook his head lazily, a bored looked registered on his face. "I have no use for you both, neither does Chloe," he stated, turning around and walking out, leaving the two men with open mouths and shocked expressions.

"Angelo?"

"Jason?" Angelo replied.

"What do you think that demon is up to?"

Angelo shrugged, a deep frown growing on his face. "I do not know, but I have a bad feeling, a very bad one." He bit his lips, the feeling of unease filling his being and causing an unsettling stir in his stomach. "I hope Chloe is okay..." "I am okay."

Both men gasped, turning to where they had heard her voice as she appeared out of thin air.

"Ch... Chloe?" Angelo muttered in disbelief. "What are you doing here?"

She sighed, rubbing at her wrists where the chains had scourged her skin. "It's a long story guys, but a story for another day." She looked from Angelo to Jason, a soft smile making it's way to her face. "I will be back for you guys, but first; I need to get out of here."

Jason who had not said a word to her, finally spoke: "You can use your magic in here?"

She nodded.

He looked in awe of the situation. "How did you even get in here in the first place? Dracula brought you?"

She nodded again. "As I said; story for another day. I need to get out of here right now, help me find my way out?"

They quickly told her the direction out the back door and with that, she became invisible again. The men exchanged a look, a look of hope and for that first time in a long while, they both felt some kind of peace that had been absent for a long time.*** Chloe's POV:

Earlier: "Blasted. Son. Of. A. Whore!" I yelled, pulling on whatever was holding me back. I gasped in disbelief as he started to walk away, leaving me trapped in this god forsaken place. "Hey! Get back here you oaf, where the hell do you think you are going?!"

He ignored me because I couldn't say he did not hear me. He disappeared around a bend and just then, I could hear the voices of other members of the coven and I realized what he had done.

I had not even expected it when in my fear, I violently pulled against the chains, breaking free from where he had trapped me to the wall. I stair down at my hand and thought the view wasn't stable but I could see the metals that were placed on me. I sighed, shrugging them off and I was only lucky enough to turn invisible and dash out of the room, just as the first vampire stepped into the coven room.

I followed down the passage I had seen the Dracula go, hoping to give him a piece of my mind.

Well, Dracula wasn't the only one I found at the end of the corridor, I also found my brothers and maybe, I eavesdropped and heard some things I guessed I wasn't allowed to hear and with all I discovered, I need to be out of here as fast as I could, go home and talk to Marcus...
