Amnesia Love: The Five Boyfriends Challenge -
Chapter 28-The scent of Karswell.
Karswell's eyelashes fluttered twice. He seemed unaware that I had come to find him for a purpose, yet he readily agreed.
His eyes were so clear and innocent that I felt a twinge of compassion.
I shifted my gaze to change the subject.
"It's almost lunchtime. What are you in the mood for?"
"I'm not sure. I usually eat at the cafeteria. Whatever they serve, I'll have."
Karswell's tone was calm, but it troubled me greatly.
His sweater was warm but plain, suggesting his family wasn't affluent.
In this city, it's challenging for a regular family to cover a college student's tuition and living expenses.
Financial strain aside, some people still target this sensitive and intelligent boy for bullying.
Fortunately, he interprets their behavior as simply not wanting to be friends, sparing him from deeper negative emotions.
He's a boy one can't help but care for and love!
I couldn't resist reaching out to stroke Karswell's face.
My hands were slightly cold, his face soft and warm-a pleasant sensation. I took myself putting my other hand on his face, gently kneading. Throughout, Karswell offered no resistance, watching me warily, puzzled. He didn't seem to comprehend why I treated him like a child.
After a comforting pinch, I released him. "Alright, let's head to the cafeteria. I'm famished."
Karswell nodded, his face still slightly flushed from my touch. He walked ahead of me, maintaining a distance.
I watched him walk away, reluctant to move.
After a while, Karswell glanced back, noticing the considerable distance between us.
He hastened back, his long legs swiftly closing the gap.
"Um..."
Karswell seemed about to address me, then hesitated, realizing he didn't know my name.
"Chloe. I'm Chloe," I supplied, dispelling his uncertainty.
Karswell looked at me in astonishment, then joyously repeated my name. "Chloe... Chloe..." "Chloe is right here. You don't need to keep saying my name."
I took his arm willingly. I felt his body tense momentarily.
This endearing boy was shy once again!
"Silly, didn't you notice my high heels? I can't keep up with you without slowing down!"
"Ah, I see..." Karswell understood why I'd paused earlier.
As we headed to the cafeteria, he kept an eye on my feet, adjusting his pace so I could keep up.
Upon entering the cafeteria, we attracted numerous glances.
We stood out a contrast. Karswell was the least popular boy in the school, and my appearance and physique garnered the most attention everywhere.
Plus, I recently angered a girl over a fake Chanel, and judging by what her friends are saying about her, they've probably spread the word throughout the entire school about me.
I was accustomed to the attention, but Karswell clearly wasn't.
He kept his head down, shrinking into himself. Perhaps he sought refuge behind me, not wanting me to face the scrutiny alone.
I stopped, turned, and smiled at him.
"Be confident. Remember, you're with Chloe. Next to me, you're the most respected person here. They'll envy you, not bully you."
I pretended to adjust Karswell's collar, secretly boosting his confidence. Yet what others perceived as affection stirred the cafeteria.

"Now, let's get some food."
"Um... Well..."
Karswell, emboldened by my encouragement, stood straighter despite the stares.
We grabbed some food and found a quiet spot to sit.
I asked Karswell to feed me salad and bread, even letting him open the milk and insert a straw.
Karswell served dutifully, his expression serious, as if our interaction was a mathematical equation-one I'd posed, and he'd solved.
His approach worked. With a little guidance, he navigated our intimacy smoothly.
As we left the cafeteria, Karswell confidently held my hand, meeting jealous glances head-on.
We wandered the campus hand in hand until my feet ached too much to continue.
Concerned, Karswell knelt to inspect my feet. As a lady, I couldn't possibly remove my shoes in public.
"I need to rest. Is there somewhere nearby?"
Karswell looked around, then shook his head.
"We're in the dorm area. The café's on the other street, at least a kilometer away." "Dorms?"
An idea struck, and I grinned at Karswell. "Let's head to your dorm then."
"What... What?"
"What, are girls not allowed in the boys' dorms?"

Seeing his hesitation, I pretended to have sore ankles, leaving Karswell little choice but to agree to take me to his dorm room.
I thought there was a computer in the dorm, so I could ask Karswell to help me recover the video during my break.
However, upon entering the dorm, I regretted it immediately.
It reeked horribly!
Frowning and pinching my nose, I started contemplating excuses to leave when Karswell opened his dorm door.
I stood at the entrance, about to concoct a reason to depart, when something caught my eye.
Karswell's dorm room was a single!
Though not spacious, the room was meticulously kept. There were no offensive odors, instead, a subtle soapy scent lingered. "You get a solo dorm room?" I inquired.
"Yes, it's a perk the school offers to students with a first-class scholarship," Karswell replied, assisting me to sit by his bed.
While admiring his dorm, I failed to notice him crouching in front of me.
"Your room smells amazing. What kind of scent do you use?"
"Scent? I'm not familiar with aromatherapy. I simply washed my T-shirt this morning, so it probably carries the laundry detergent scent," Karswell explained.
I remained skeptical and leaned closer to sniff him.
"Well, it smells just as good."
I remarked, closing my eyes with a smile. The fragrance was enticing, drawing me closer to him.
Karswell seated on the floor, and I unceremoniously settled onto his lap. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I buried my face against his neck, greedily inhaling his scent.
