Jack's

POV.

It was a new and a fine morning in Seattle. The place I could call home after a long period of staying away from here.

I was excited that I had returned to Seattle because if I was still in Africa, I wouldn't have gotten the chance to see Abby.

I loved Abby and the thought of her made me realize how foolish I have been for the past years of staying without her in my life. "Good morning sir. Your meal is ready sir" I turned to the door side and saw that it was my personal cook who was talking to me.

"I will be there in no time Jeffery" I said and watched him leave my room immediately.

They were very much away how I disliked it when they walked into my room to distract my beautiful morning thoughts.

I stood up from my bed and went over to the dinner table where my meal was served.

It was work day, so I had to rush the meal just to finish on time and get to the company on time too.

I made my way to the bathroom when I was through and had a brief shower, but it wasn't really done without the thought of Abby coming into my mind.

I could recall when we had to bathe each other in the bathroom naked with our bodies exposed to each other.

It was a funny but memorable moment that I was never going to forget. I got dressed in my black suit which had white stripes all over it like it was a disco wear.

I dashed out of my room and in no time, I got into my car and zoomed out of the house.

The traffic in Seattle was one thing I never wished to experience.

My company was far from my house, so it was best I try everything possible to just avoid the traffic.

You all might be wondering why I kept on saying my company, right? Well, this is it.

I am a professor, but that wasn't going to mean I couldn't have any other job aside being a professor.

I owned a company, although it wasn't truly mine. It belonged to my family and me because we all had a hand in building the company.

I was the CEO and my dad was the president in the company.

No one could see him that easily unless they had booked an appointment with him in the office.

Seeing that he's never around, it was advisable for me to always be close to the office so whenever he was needed but not available, I was going to stand in for him.

And I tried my best to make that possible by all my might because it was never that easy for me.

I was about quitting when I found Abby and how she glared at me that first day made me feel like I could get her to love me.

I have always believed In love, but I never had anyone to love me for who I was. Whenever they noticed I was rich, they would always want to cling onto me like I was some gold and I didn't like it. Finally, I got to the company and when I parked my car and climbed out of it, I saw Kate standing close to a black Range Rover which I was certain that it wasn't hers.

"Hey Jack" She came closer to me with her hands crossed in front of her tummy.

"Hi Kate! What are you doing here?" I asked, looking around.

"You look lost, Jack. I thought you were supposed to be heading over to the school and not a company" she mocked my personality because she felt I was just a professor. "You are right Kate, this isn't the school, right?" I smiled, knowing that she was a fool.

She felt I was solely a mere professor in one of the most popular universities. Little did she know that I had more to that I was more than that.

"I am always right Jack and if you don't mind, I would love to introduce you to my husband" She announced as she went over to where a man In green suit was standing.

I watched her go closer to him and watched her bring him back to where I was standing and waiting for her stupidity to surface.

"So Jackson, meet my charming and handsome husband Felix" She placed her hand on his right shoulder as she leaned on his body.

"Felix, meet Jackson my old time friend" She said to her husband who was close to her.

"Felix Walker?" I asked looking amazed at the view of who was Kate's husband.

"Oh you know my husband, I guess you are not that dumb after all" She teased me.

"Stop it Kate, you wouldn't want me to lose this deal with them right?" Felix, her husband, whispered into her ear.

"What do you mean lose the deal? He doesn't know anyone in this company, so there is nothing to be afraid of" She spoke without minding her words.

"He owns the company, Kate. He is the CEO of the company" Her husband as she said explained to her and immediately, she turned looking at me like she had seen a ghost.

"I guess you are the one who had lost after all Kate. I will see you in the next twenty minutes Mr. Felix Walker" I shook his hand as I walked out of their sight.

"Her husband runs a small company that needs funds to survive? Kate ... you won't stop being a fool would you" I murmured as I walked into the company.

"Welcome sir" My assistant immediately helped me take off my jacket when I stepped into the company.

I noticed that Kate and her husband were walking behind me and trust me, I had to act like the true boss just to show her that I wasn't supposed to be dumped by her.

I got into my office and had kept on laughing like I was insane when I suddenly saw my baby girl sitting on my executive chair behind my desk.

I had to open up to her too about my occupation since she told me everything about herself last night.

"Good morning pretty one," I dropped my bag on the couch as I walked closer to my desk.

"I missed you all night Jack" She stood up from the seat and came closer to me with her hand wrapped around my neck.

"I bet you did, huh? Seeing how you had to visit me first thing in the morning and in my office" I chuckled as I kissed her countless times on her lips.
