Abby's POV.

Finally, it was the weekend, the very day I have been waiting for in order to get off from work.

It hasn't been so easy for me knowing that I was still with a four years old child. Preparing him for school, preparing my files too for work ...

"Arrgghhh!!" It's been the worst week ever.

I was still in my spacious sitting room thinking about how my week went when I heard my name from behind.

"Mom?" Jayden called out like he was lost.

I immediately turned around to hear him out. "What's wrong Jay? Is there a problem? I said out loud.

"Mom, where is my father?" He questioned out of the blue as he stood close to the couch I was sitting on.

He had a sad expression on his face as he stared at me without taking his eyes off from me for a second.

"I... I don't get it Jay.. what do you mean by that? Is there anything you want that I'm not doing for you? Tell me, what's wrong?" I stood up from the couch and went over to where he was standing. I placed my hands on his shoulders as I squatted in front of him so he could be open to me.

"I want to know my dad mom. The other kids in school kept laughing and mocking me because I have just you. They tagged me as an outcast!" He explained as I saw a tear roll down his left eye.

"What the fuck is wrong with you baby? Why are you crying for nothing? It's nothing serious okay? and you shouldn't mind them. They just...." I was still going to talk more sense into his head when he immediately shut me up.

"I want my dad mom!! I can't go to school anymore without my dad. If i don't see him, I'll kill myself before it's school days!" He asserted as he pulled out of my grip.

He turned around and ran all the way to his room with his door locked up by him.

I stood up and was going to run towards his direction, I was going to run so as to meet him but then, my doorbell rang unexpectedly.

"Fuck!! Who is that at this moment!" I mumbled as I wasn't sure which way to go anymore.

I glanced at the door for a second before turning to look at my son's room. I wasn't sure who I would go attend to first.

I paused for a while before heaving a heavy sigh knowing that my son had turned into a grown up.
A Man On Black. Abby's POV.

Finally, it was the weekend, the very day I have been waiting for in order to get off from work.

"He was bound to ask for his father one day though!" I said to myself as I felt guilt boiling up in my heart.

I was still lost in my thoughts about what my son had asked me when again, I heard the doorbell ring out yet again.

I didn't hesitate this time in knowing who was at the door.

I needed to be sure it wasn't work before i went back in to face my son who started asking for a father figure all of a sudden. "Hello Abby.... Breakfast?"

"Oh.. it's you again!" I scoffed seeing who was standing at my door. It was Jack and this time, I bet he came to cause mischief as usual.

I couldn't believe that I had responded to someone who doesn't even need my response to him.

"Are you not excited to see me Abby?" He asked with a smile on his face.

There were moments when his smile trickled me and made me glad but now, it was all just irritating and fake to me.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I questioned looking at him with a bad eye and no smile.

"I brought breakfast Abby... are you sure you just don't want to have a bite?" He raised a bag to my face as he suggested.

"Could you just take your box of food away from my house? It's not like we are hungry or begging in the streets you know!" I said angrily.

"Hey!! Take a quick chill okay?. It's just an act of sincerity Abby, don't take it personal!!" Jack blurted out, still smiling.

"I don't want your fucking sincerity Jack!! You began to show your silly act of sincerity when you realised that my son was normal right? I don't want that!" I announced angrily. "Can't we just forget the past and act like we used to Abby?" He came closer to me and placed his hand on my shoulder.

His eyes staring into mine were just so irritating that I didn't know when I pushed him backwards.

"Get the fuck off me!! You think I will fall for your silly tricks?" I yelled out as I watched him fall to the floor.

"Did you just push me Abby because I ... I wish to be with you?" He stood to his feet as he asked with a furious stare on his face.

"Mom? Is that my dad?" Jayden questioned as he ran his way to the door before I could respond to him.

"Is he my dad?" Jay questioned again, seeing Jack with a box of food in his hand.

Jack's facial expression suddenly went from anger to happiness. He smiled at Jayden which made me curious.

I was sure he wasn't smiling at all.

"I am...." He was going to say when I immediately interrupted.

"No Jayden, he is my colleague at work and believe me, this man has been harassing and following mom everywhere!" I smiled as I caressed his hair gently. "How dare you!!" Jayden was going to fight for his mom but then, I held him back.

It was so cute seeing how he wished to send Jack away from the house so quickly. Now, Jack wouldn't be able to tell Jayden anything related to being his father. "Now if you don't mind Jay, I would love it if you go back to your room okay? I'll come talk to you about your father soon!" I uttered assuringly.

He immediately obeyed me and ran back into his room with a joyful heart knowing that he was going to see his father soon.

"Now if you don't mind Jack, I would appreciate it if you leave too. We have better things to do in our house on weekends!" I lied just to send him away.

"I will be back for my son Abby. You can't hide him forever you know!" Jack said out with a smile on his face.

He looked so sure about meeting Jay and telling him that he is his father. I couldn't let that happen, I must tell Jayden about his real dad before Jack beats me to it though.

I was going to return to the room and explain to Jayden the fact that Jack wasn't his Father but Alex was.

I was going to ignore the outside world and do what was right when suddenly, I heard the bushes beside my car make a weird sound.

"Who is there?" I turned immediately to ask when I saw someone in all black running out of my compound.

I was going to chase after him but I didn't want to get myself killed so I stayed still as he ran out of the compound.

"Who the hell was that? and how long has he been here?" I thought to myself before shutting my door.
