An Understated Dominance
Chapter 1247 by Marina Vittori

“What?” The sudden turn of events left everyone dumbfounded. Nobody expected the Princess of Theswe to greet Landon with a slap to the face. It was a simple, brutal action without any warning nor words of exchange.

The problem was Landon was the Minister of War and an official of the first rank. She completely disregarded him by slapping him in public.

“Yo-Your Highness, why did you hit me?” Landon was dumbfounded. He felt disoriented as he clutched his throbbing cheek.

He would have flown into a rage if it had been just another ordinary aristocrat. But given that this was the Princess Consort of Theswe and Dragonmarsh’s eldest princess, he could only hold it in even if he was frustrated.

“That slap was for your ignorance. Now, kneel before you speak.” The beautiful woman spoke icily.

“Your Highness, I don’t understand. What have I done to offend you?” Landon summoned up the courage to ask.

She struck him hard across the face again. Coldly, she demanded, “Are you deaf? I told you to kneel when you talk!”

The corner of Landon’s eyes twitched. Holding in his anger, he fell to his knees with a thud. They were akin to rulers and subjects. If the Princess Consort of Theswe demanded him to kneel in public, he could only follow.

At that moment, Arthur’s smile froze, along with the rest of his group. They exchanged anxious glances.

They had initially thought the Princess of Theswe had made an appearance due to her acquaintance with Landon. But now, that wasn’t the case.

Could it be that Landon had previously offended the Princess Consort?

“Landon Hyde, do you realize what you have done wrong?” The woman questioned him imposingly.

“I do,” Landon responded obediently with his head lowered. Although puzzled, he just had to admit it to conclude this matter.

“Then why don’t you tell me what you did wrong?” the woman asked again.

“What?” Landon’s expression stiffened. He was at a loss for words. He didn’t even do anything. What could he have done wrong?

But he couldn’t say that. He could only respond submissively, “Your Highness, if you believe I have done wrong, then I have indeed done wrong.

“Hmph! You’re pretty sly. You shall continue to kneel until you’ve truly realized your mistake.”

She then turned to Rhett, Neal, and the rest of the group. She said coldly, “As for the rest of you, all of you, kneel!”

“What?” The group was taken aback. They exchanged glances, unsure of how to react. “What are you doing still standing there? Kneel down!” Landon turned around and roared at them.

“Right… Kneel!” The crowd snapped out of their daze and kneeled without hesitation. Even the Minister of War was on his knee; how could they hesitate?

The earlier high-ranking officials who were full of pride were now submissive under the Princess Consort of Theswe’s imposing presence.

“Tyler, what’s going on? Did Sir Hyde offend the Princess Consort of Theswe before?” Kate trembled as she knelt on the ground.

“How am I supposed to know?” Tyler said through gritted teeth in frustration.
