An Understated Dominance -
Chapter 1518 by Marina Vittori
As he spoke, his personal guards had already surrounded Dustin and Abigail. Their gazes were menacing.
“Greetings, Sir Anders.” Dustin lowered his head and replied, “My name is Rhet Adams. And this is my sister, Abigail Adams.”
“You look familiar. Have we met before? “Anders questioned. His gaze was as sharp as a knife as he scrutinized Dustin from top to bottom as if trying to see through him.
“When you returned victorious last year, Sir Mosey held a grand banquet. I had the honor to visit and witness your impressiveness.
“I didn’t expect you to remember me still. I’m truly flattered!” Dustin pretended to be fearful. His statement was partially true. It was true that Anders had won a significant battle last year and hosted a celebration banquet, inviting many guests.
Dustin, of course, had no time to attend. It was information provided by Ethan. To be on the safe side, he had memorized the details thoroughly, and it now came in handy.
“Is that so?” Anders narrowed his eyes, staring at Dustin intently. After a while, he finally looked away.
“Seems like I got the wrong person.” With that, he left with his entourage without hesitation.
“Dustin, it seems like this person won’t be easy to deal with.” Abigail’s expression grew solemn as she watched him leave.
To be able to sense an unfriendly gaze from such a distance was frightening. If an assassin were planning a sneak attack, they might be dead even before having the chance to make a move.
“He naturally isn’t ordinary since he could become Dragonmarsh’s God of War. How could he roam the battlefield for so many years if he lacked the skills?
“Dustin said with a faint smile. Anders Mosey was known as the strongest among the five God of Wars. Dustin couldn’t gauge his real strength without actually facing him.
Ethan was right. Ten years had passed, and Anders was no longer the same person. On the other hand, Dustin lacked resources and support from the West Lucozian monarchy, and his cultivation. had suffered a significant setback because of it.
Therefore, he didn’t have much of an advantage when facing similarly outstanding peers.
“Dustin, what if I use one of my poisons to knock him out? Then we can grab the Emerald Corolla,” Abigail suggested,
“No need. It’s too risky. Let’s just stick to our original plan,” Dustin declined flatly. Anders was undoubtedly a full-fledged grandmaster. Poisoning him would be a challenging feat, given his skill level. Besides, his sharp senses would likely alert him of any suspicious activity.
“Alright, we’ll go with your plan.” Abigail gave in without further insistence. Anders may be skilled, but the methods of the Mystic Arts Order could still be effective against him.
“Let’s sit in the guest lounge and observe how things unfold.” Dustin smiled and led Abigail into the banquet hall.
The banquet hall was filled with numerous high-ranking officials, with endless guests coming and going. Dustin and Abigail had just entered when several women headed their way.
One of the women was deeply engrossed in conversation and wasn’t looking at where she was going. She ended up colliding with Dustin on his chest. The woman exclaimed and staggered back a few steps before falling to the ground. She grimaced in pain.
“Who the hell is so blind to run into me? Do you have a death wish?” The woman on the ground cursed. Dustin frowned when he recognized the woman. It seemed fate was playing with him, for he had encountered another acquaintance.
The woman who fell was none other than his former mother-in-law, Florence Franklin.
