An Understated Dominance -
Chapter 1932 by Marina Vittori
“No chance at surviving? Is it really that dangerous?” Jackson was shocked. Ryan was the Arcane Path Guild’s prodigy, possessing strength comparable to Jackson. The monsters in the oasis must be exceptionally formidable for him to say that.
“I’m not trying to scare you. It’s genuinely horrifying in there. My seniors and juniors were eaten by those monsters.
“If I hadn’t run fast enough and been lucky, I might have suffered the same fate,” Ryan said with a pained expression. He had watched helplessly as his fellow disciples were killed, and the feeling was unbearable.
“Seems like our mission this time is teeming with danger!” Jackson appeared pensive.
Although the Arcane Path Guild wasn’t a Southwest sect, their strength rivaled that of the Embersteel Order.
The fact that their team of elite disciples that were sent on the exploration barely survived indicated the extreme danger within the oasis.
It would be a challenge for Jackson to venture in with his current abilities. He would have to seek the assistance of their sect’s formidable experts.
“Opportunities come with great risk. If you want treasures, you’ll have to put your life on the line. There’s no such thing as a free lunch. If any of you are afraid, feel free to back out. I won’t stop you,” Aidan said indifferently.
As a martial arts grandmaster, his formidable strength was his greatest confidence. Those monsters were nothing in his eyes.
“Mr. Ridge, we’ve prepared ourselves for the risks when we came here. We’re not afraid of death, but we also don’t wish to die in vain.
“If what Ryan said was true, the oasis is an extremely dangerous place. I just think it’s necessary to seek more help, just in case,” Jackson suggested.
“What you do is none of my concern. Once inside the oasis, feel free to go your own way.” Aidan Ignored his concern.
Most of them present were burdens in his eyes, but for now, these burdens still had some use for him.
“Ryan, I have another question,” Grace said. “Did you notice anything special inside the oasis? For example, an area with strong spiritual energy or particularly lush vegetation?”
Her question was driven by the Dracan essences’ ability to absorb energy from around it, gathering the spiritual energy of nature.
Wherever the Dracan essence exists, spiritual energy becomes exceptionally dense, and various flora and fauna undergo transformations of varying degrees.
“Your question reminds me of something.” Ryan nodded. He continued, “The spiritual energy inside the oasis is indeed unusually thick. Training inside would bring rapid progress. If it weren’t for the danger, I wouldn’t have wanted to leave.”
With his talents, staying inside for a year and a half would likely lead him to a breakthrough to the level of a grandmaster. Unfortunately, he didn’t possess the courage or skills to stay inside.
“If that’s the case, the thing I’m looking for must be in there,” Grace whispered to herself. She had confirmed her previous suspicions. The oasis must be concealing a Dracan essence.
“I’ve shared all the information I have. Whether you heed it or not, I must emphasize, don’t venture inside.”
Ryan’s expression was grim. “There’s nothing better than being alive. There’s no need to risk it for material gain.”
“”Thank you for the concern, but we know what we’re doing,” Grace said with a smile.
She added, “There’s one more thing. We’ve informed your guild, and they’ll be arriving tomorrow to bring you back. In the meantime, you can rest here and recover.”
“Thank you, everyone.” Ryan expressed his gratitude with a slight bow.
“Hey, kid! Our team just so happens to be lacking a guide. Since you’ve been inside once, why not lead us again? As long as we find treasure, you’ll get a share,” Aidan suddenly suggested.
“Mr. Ridge, it was with difficulty that I escaped alive. I’m not willing to risk my life again. Please understand,” Ryan replied in anguish.
