An Understated Dominance -
Chapter 2046 by Marina Vittori
“Did he block it with a fork?”
Terra and the others frowned, and their expressions turned serious. At first, they didn’t think Dustin was good enough to be friends with Dalen. But they soon realized Dustin was far from a mere weakling.
Terra and the others knew how strong Pyro was. Even a Divine-level martial artist couldn’t get close to Pyro in a battle.
And then, there was that crazy moment with a fork stopping an ax attack. It was pretty unbelievable. Terra and the others acknowledged Dustin’s strength was much stronger than Pyro’s.
“Release it!” Pyro bellowed, frustration building as his ax remained firmly lodged. A surge of anger roared within him.
He quickly grabbed another ax from behind and swung it fiercely at Dustin. The attack was faster and more powerful, sharp enough to cut a person in half.
“You’re getting in over your head,” Dustin said coldly. With a casual flick of his finger, he sent the wine glass hurtling toward Pyro’s face.
“Ah!” Pyro screamed in pain, tumbling backward ten or 15 feet.
He crashed into a table and ended up sprawled on the ground. His once unappealing face was now marred by blood, a broken nose, and two missing teeth, rendering him even more menacing.
“Pyro!” Terra and the others’ expressions changed when they saw Pyro defeated. They rushed forward to help him up.
When they met Dustin’s gaze, fear filled their eyes. With just a wine glass, they saw Pyro was quickly taken down. It became clear that Dustin possessed an overwhelming strength.
“Damn it! I’ll take you on!” After getting up, Pyro became furious.
He shoved aside those around him. Then, he wielded his ax with both hands and charged at Dustin. It was intolerable to be humiliated by Dustin.
“Stop!” Suddenly, Dalen stood up and slapped Pyro across the face.
The sharp sound of the slap echoed, leaving Pyro stunned. His gaze met Dalen’s, a mixture of shock and surprise.
“You’ve got some nerve!” Dalen exclaimed coldly.
He continued, “Dustin is my friend. If you dare lay a hand on him, you’re disrespecting me. If you keep acting up, don’t blame me for being blunt!”
Watching the pretentious Dalen, Dustin just smiled faintly without saying anything. Dustin was aware of Dalen’s sly nature.
Throughout the time, Dalen stayed silent to test Dustin’s abilities using Pyro. Now realizing Pyro couldn’t win, he promptly stepped forward, pretending to be righteous.
Unbeknownst to many, Dalen’s cunning scheme easily ensnared those unfamiliar with his true intentions.
“Dalen, take it easy. Pyro acted on impulse. Please don’t take it to heart.” Terra quickly stepped in with a smile, trying to diffuse the escalating tension.
“Why are you still standing there? Apologize to Dustin!” Dalen urged as he kicked Pyro. Pyro clenched his teeth, choosing silence as his gaze focused on Dustin.
