Chapter 53

HAYLEY

I have been in hospital for an extra three days of rest and the doctor has finally given the word that I will be going home today.

Vivian came back later that night when Theo went to get some food for us. The test came back inclusive of everything and she couldn't find any reason to make my blood so rare. As for the pregnancy test, we are going to try in a week. She seems to think I might be early days.

I get up out of bed slowly with the help of Theo, and I walk into the bathroom.

Once I was inside, I slipped the gown I was wearing off and stared back at my body. The bathroom has a long full-length mirror on the door. When I shut it, as I wanted privacy to see what the scars were like once again, I only saw them once with Vivian as I point blank refused to look at them again, but I need to get changed. Theo wasn't too happy about me shutting the door on him, but he understood that I needed to deal with it on my own at first.

I look back at the full-length mirror and stare.

There are six mega scars on several parts of my body. Vivian explained the poison that was used; I can't believe my own mother would use that type of thing on her own child. I trace over the thick scar under my breast. It was thick and wide. There were two on each side of my legs, one above my breast, one on the other side underneath each of my breasts too, and the last one was on my arm.

I look back at my body; this is the result of a revengeful woman who never wanted her child.

"Hayley," Theo calls out, "Can I come in?" He asks as he opens the door. I stare at the mirror, not looking at him as he enters the bathroom. He closes the door and stands by the side of me. "Why would she do this?" I ask in a whisper. A tear slides down my face and Theo places his arms around me, pulling me into him, turning me around to look at him, and he hugs me as I rest my head on his chest.

After a few moments, he moves me so I am back in front of the mirror, looking back in the mirror again as he stands behind me. One hand stays on my waist while the other one hoovers over each scar. "Hayley, I don't know the answer, but I don't care," he says as he places a finger over the one under my breast. It sends a shiver through me as the mate bond works.

I can feel Raina close by, staring at the reflection of us.

Her anger throughout the whole day since we woke up has been high, but she hasn't said much as I think she is trying to understand herself what is going on too, but she has been comforting me as a mother would a child.

Theo leans into me and moves his head to the crook of my neck and sniffs in my scent and places a kiss on my neck. "These," he says as he traces over each scar slowly, making sure I watch what he is doing. His eyes look back at me as well. "They will not define you, they will make you stronger and I have to say mate, they make you look even sexier too," he says in a raspy voice.

I can feel his erection poking me in my back.

I look at his brown eyes; I start to feel wetness forming in my core.

He places a kiss on my neck once more. "Baby," he says. "Try to calm down or I will take you right here," he says as his finger moves over my nipple and he places it in between his thumb and finger, making it go hard.

I can help the slight moan that leaves my lips.

Theo smirks. "You like that," he says as he places another kiss on my neck. "Baby, I can smell you arousal and I want to, but we need to get you home," he says and moves away.

I suddenly feel cold as he leaves me; I turn around and look at him, placing my hand on his arm, and move closer to him. His breath hitches as I touch him, moving closer to him. "Where are we going?" I ask as he leans into me once more. He sniffs my neck. "It's a surprise," he says. "Baby please, I'm begging you, wait till we get home," he says in a pleading tone. "I want to make sure you see everything first and then I am having you in every way possible."

I stare back at him and move my hand to his neck to bring him closer as I hoover our lips. "I want to kiss..." I say, but I am cut off as he places his mouth on mine. There is an explosion of ecstasy running through me and I wrap my arms around his neck as I slip my tongue into his mouth as he picks me up. I wrap my legs around his waist as he moves back and places me in the sink unit. I move my mouth with his. I want to taste every inch of his mouth.

I can't help but moan. His hands stay on my waist and hold tighter to me.

Theo moves back panting hard. "Baby, please," he says as he looks at me "I will take you right now, but I want to show you something," he says and slams his mouth on mine once more but moves back again, panting harder. "Fuck, you taste so good," he says as he rests his head on mine.

My chest heaves up and down hard.

I close my eyes, trying to control myself, but something is telling me that I need my mate more than ever.

I open my eyes to find his brown eyes searching my face. "You ok?" He asks moving away slightly.

I look back at him and nod. "I'm okay, babe" I manage to say, "I think I need to get dressed."

Theo smiles and moves back. He hands me my bra and top, which I place on quickly and he helps put my panties on and leggings on.

Once I was dressed, we walked out of the bathroom.

My bag was already packed, and we headed out of the hospital, hand in hand.

I look around, and every single nurse has a smile on their face.

I look back at Theo. "Why are they looking at me like that?" I asked.

Theo smiles. "Hayley, you were asleep for over a week. Every single one of those nurses attended to your every need and they are happy to see you awake and feeling better," he says as he squeezes my hand that he was holding. We walk straight to his car and he helps me in. Once we were in, we headed in a completely different direction to the pack house.

I look over at him. "Where are we going?" I asked, confused. "This is not the way to the pack house."

The driver wasn't looking but when I looked outside; there were some familiar things around. I've been here before. As we got closer, my eyes grew wider at the sight before me.

We are at his parent's old cabin but it looks completely different.

I look over to Theo, who has now pulled up and stopped the car.

"I remember you told me that you wanted five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a huge lounge and kitchen," he says and turns to me "I wanted to give you something for Christmas and I thought I would give you the house we said all those years ago."

His face lights up, but he is searching my face. I'm speechless.

When we were in high school, we wanted to make this cabin ours. It was away from the pack house and it was away from everyone. We had loads of privacy that we both craved every day.

"You did this all for us," I asked him and smiled back.

He nods. "I had help while you were asleep, Summer wanted to beat my ass if I didn't leave your side for a few hours as I was with you for the first three days and I couldn't eat or sleep without being near you so Summer being organized as she is set up a rota and everyone helped me get this place ready for us to move in as soon as you woke up," he says.

"Come on, let's go inside," he says as he opens the door.

I can't help but stare at the cabin. It looks so magical.

Theo walks around to my side and opens the door. "My princess," he says as he hands me his hand and I take it, but he places his arms around me and lifts me bridal style.

He uses his leg to close the car door behind him. I can't help but wrap my arms around his neck and kiss his neck.

He carries me straight to the door and opens it.
