Anything For You -
Chapter 128
"What is so surprising? Don't tell me you haven't heard about book spirits!" The Diva said maintaining that always plastered smile over her thin lips. She was a divine figure. Press knew that it was no use of pissing her over or arguing with her. She had never heard about that books also possessed the spirits. It was a new thing. "Why all out of sudden today?" Empress asked her a half-question, but the Diva seemed to understand it fully. She shook her head here and there as if trying to express her getting bored replying back, "I have come to warn you."
"Warn me! About?" Empress questioned it with a raised eyebrow. She had immense confidence by now. She knew there was much more to it than it looked at the surface. For the truth to be revealed, she had to obey that Diva at all costs, but with integrity. "Hmm.. since your husband had already told you about RAGNARA stone; you shouldn't have handed it over to that mermaid girl. She wasn't yet ready for it." The Diva continued the conversation.
"What do you mean?" Empress was growing more and more curious by now. She could only ask the Diva, since the book wasn't opening up yet.
"I can only tell you that RAGNARA was a princess: THE PRINCESS OF PIRPLE STONE; a very powerful and obsessed girl with her powers. But she was none other than that mermaid girl herself in her past life. Although it was she herself, yet she wasn't ready in that mermaid body to grab a hold of RAGNARA powers. Besides, the RAGNARA powers comes alongwith the following two lives' powers too. The girl's body is still not adapted and she didn't even have so much of cultivation. So, she is battling inside to cope up with herself." The Diva almost briefed everything.
Sensing the Empress' questioning gaze over her face, she sighed and replied back,
"Yes, yes, I know that you want to know what had happened with that RAGNARA princess. But..... I am afraid, you had lost the opportunity yourself by handing over the gem to that girl. Now, all you can do is just read about her last life."
"What..?" Empress felt as if she was struck by lightning. This book was the only way to help her grandson get rid of all the possible dangers in his life, and his past lives were a way to it. If she didn't get a hold to all of those lives, how would she pass the knowledge on! No, no, there must be a way-out "Exactly! There is a way-out.". The Diva replied back reading the lady's thoughts.
"Are you a psychopath or something? How did you read my mind? What is your name?" The Empress blurted out her thoughts all at once, afraid that she wont get the chance to do it again since the diva ahead of her was a mind-reader too. "Amm.. well, I am everything. I am a spirit. And yes, I don't have any name. Nobody named me ever. But since you brought it up, so, I will use the name of This heavenly book. You can call me "7 Days and 7 Lives"".
"Fine, what do you want me to do?" Empress didn't want to drag it any further knowing fully well that the spirit diva won't let it slide without getting what she wanted.
"Wooah... I must say you are really desperate, my lady. Well.... Offer me a piece of your soul for each live you traded with RAGNARA stone."
Empress"..."
How could someone of a spirit ask to trade a piece of soul! Absurd. It was totally absurd. She immediately snapped up and announced,
"I don't have any wishes to trade my soul pieces to you in return of the truth. The truth will be revealed on its own, even of you won't let me know. I refuse." She had made her decision. Besides, she knew no matter how urgent it had been her husband would never appreciate the fact that she had traded her soul without consulting him. She could not repeat the mistake again.
"I guess then you can know about the life of RAGNARA, and the other two that followed. It wasn't a pleasure talking to you, Empress because I didn't get what I desired. So, you won't also." The Diva disappeared the other instant inside the book and the room fell in dangerous silence again with only the Empress standing in the center, while the strong rays of sunlight were peeking through every open window and hole.
She was bewildered, not able to comprehend what just happened! Was this it? Now, she won't be able to know anything anymore! What would happen to Emerald, and Scarlet! All these thoughts were crossing her head, when she heard the noise. The noise of page flipping. Gazing down at the book kept over the mahogany table, her eyes shone with happiness and hope found its way back to them.
The pages flipped over and over, and ultimately stopped at the blank page again. She sat down and touched the page. But her hand crossed it like it was air. The book was present there clearly, but why couldn't she touch it! Now what again?! She was getting vexed by now. Already time was slipping from her hands like the grains of sand, and this book was testing her patience.
"Choose it Empress. Do you wish to know about your grandson and his little mate's last life?" These words got imprinted over the blank page in blood red color. The lady was scared. She took the red color for blood. What did she had to do now? How to reply back! Mustering up the courage, she faintly whispered, "Yes, I do."
The same moment those words started to drip and the red color which was actually blood stained the old lady's hands. Her white gown had been stained too. She didn't understand what had been happening. She sat there blank-headed. In a moment, the other set of words replaced those previous ones,
"For that, you have to drip your blood. Drip seven drops of your blood remembering the most important seven people of your life. You have to sacrifice some of your precious memories. Only then, will you get what you desire."
The lady didn't think any further and grabbed a knife from the fruit basket kept aside her right arm over the other lowly kept table. Piercing the sharp knife into her left hand, she made a fist out of it and dripped seven drops of her blood one after the other remembering the most important seven people of her life as her mom, dad, late husband, her son Jasper, grandson Emmy, Sammy, and Scarlet.
The blood drops got absorbed into the blank pages staining them in blood and them whole series of pages that followed afterwards turned bloody too. It gave off the bloody aura. The wound that she had made over her hand healed but left a scar. She crunched her brows over that. Being a werewolf, her wounds healed fastly and never left any scars. But why this one!
"The scar over your hand will persist till you live. It is a sign of the sacrifice you made for you family. Now flip the pages and start reading. But remember, no matter what happens, don't touch the dagger tucked in me while reading this last life. It will only create havoc." These words were more than enough for the lady to retreat her hands immediately from over the book. She sat straight and followed the instructions.
The page flipped over stained in blood and the words in even more dark red started to appear. This journey was taking the Empress into its final step already. She had buckled herself into her seat waiting to be enlightened about what had happened on that life. -DESTINY LAND-
"I Wish the Empress could walk this path without getting hurt before she finishes it." Destiny murmured from above watching the old lady with sympathy.
Choice who had been listening to her quickly turned her head towards her sister,
"Sister, why do I feel that you are sympathizing with the old lady? Is there something about to happen? Don't tell me that you are going to kill that poor lady. She is such a sweet soul sister. Please..." she almost started nagging Destiny thinking all the odds out. "I am not planning to kill her, but someone else is." Destiny said out the words and choice was left awestruck, not understanding the hidden meaning.
