"Now you have gotten what you wanted. As per the deal, you fulfill your part." Dank suggested Silvan keep his word of helping him finding of the Old Grand Empress of werewolves.
Silvan (now in the body of guard Timothy) sneered and laughed sarcastically,
"I appreciate your memory, my king. Even after being alive for centuries...you know what is the most important thing. I am impressed that you know what serves your purpose correctly. As per the deal, I will help you. With the first ray of sun, I will leave for the werewolf Empress. Till then, I want to explore the Siesta valley. May I..?" Silvan's way of asking was not at all considerate and polite. Dankein had been aware of this.
"You can. But make sure to behave like Timothy and don't hurt a single hair of even any animal in my kingdom. You know what can I do...!" Dankein threatened Silvan in the politest possible way to restrain him from any wrongdoings in the kingdom. "Indeed....My King." Silvan bowed in Timothy style and left after turning, but not before bowing with a sinister smile plastered over his face and peeking at Alfie.
The cat just meowed in anger and snuggled more into its master.
~WEREALM (ROYAL WEREWOLF CASTLE OF AZURE CLAN)~
"It's been three days and now the fourth day is also about to set, yet Alpha had not even taken a single bite of the food. I am so worried about him, mother." Jack mumbled incoherently to Luna, who had also been rubbing her temples out of worries for her dear son. "Jack, I don't know what to do. Scarlet is still not conscious, and Emerald had turned into a different person. Wherever I look at him, I feel like...I don't know him."
Since the day Scarlet had drowned in the state of unconsciousness, Emerald had just been with her all the time except for talking little strolls in the garden and staring at the start sky for a longer time. He had never said a word to anyone except for Scarlet and his little brother. All he did was stay with her, lay beside her, caress her hairs, and hold her tightly in his embrace. He was feeling the strong pull of the mate bond. His mate was in trouble and he was also going through the same.
"He isn't just your son, wife." King Jasper Azure interrupted Luna. Jack, who had been sitting with Luna hauled up immediately and bowed respectfully. Jasper raised a hand in mid-air,
"Spare me the formalities, Jack. You are no different than Emerald and Sammer to us. I want you to call me father, not king."
Jack nodded and took his earlier spot after Jasper sat alongside Luna comfortably. She rested her head on his shoulder and whispered closing her eyes,
"I want Scarlet to be healthy, and back among us. Alpha, please do something..."
Jack continued looking at them and wondered how long would it take for the things to be the way they had been earlier, while King Jasper said to himself,
"It's just the beginning, Luna. I hope you would be strong enough to face what the future holds for the Azure clan. And I wish our son Emerald to be even stronger. I don't know why I have this uneasy feeling."
.......
"When would you open your eyes? It's already been four days, love." Emerald said sitting beside Scarlet who was still sleeping. He had been holding her hands which were as warm as the chilly winter sunlight and had been caressing her peachy cheeks.
It had become his habit of talking to her now and then. He felt she listened to him. He felt like touches kept her breathing stable and he wanted to tell her that no matter what happened, he was always with her, waiting for her. Despite all the healers' medications and his efforts, there wasn't even a bit of improvement in her condition. She was still the same.
"You know that I have named the Chinchilla you gifted me. And you know what the best part is! Initially, I named him Jack. But then I figured out that it wasn't a male, it was a cute little female. So, I had to think of a new name. Now, I call her Ammy, and she is quite responsive. Wait, I will let someone bring her in here." Emerald let go of Scarlet's hand softly and moved towards the door.
Shipping his head out of the door, he called for one of the guards and told him to bring the chinchilla that had been staying with Evangelica in her room. The guard immediately rushed to fetch it and handed it over to him in no time; all thanks to his werewolf speed.
Holding the cage, Emerald looked at the little animal playing all by herself with some little things kept by Evangelica for its entertainment and smiled softly. The other moment, he found that guard starting at him like he had committed a crime and composed himself.
Dismissing the guard, he stepped in and secured the door. Keeping that cage over the nearby table, Emerald opened its lock and retrieved the little rat into his broad palm only to find that the chinchilla fit perfectly in his palm. These days, he had been spending a lot of time with Scarlet and Chinchilla, Ammy.
"Ammy, look... mommy is still sleeping. Why don't you try and wake her up? If you succeed, I will grant you any wish." Emerald talked to Ammy for a little while and tucked the animal's tummy to which Ammy responded with a supposed gesture of moving here and there over his palm, enjoying his touch.
Placing it closer to Scarlet, he sat over his chair and started to analyze the little one's actions keenly.

-DAWN MOUNTAINS-
The old Grand Empress was sitting in her lavish room sipping her evening tea while staring at the setting sun. The red hazy sunlight was now replaced by a sharp orange bloom basking everything underneath it. She still was witnessing the gloomy weather occasionally. It was like at one time it was real weather of Dawn Mountain, and the other second it was her imaginary one.
With another sip, she saw dark clouds hovering everywhere and the setting sun was nowhere to be found. The original orange bloom had been replaced by dark grey clouds, which looked ready to downpour at any moment. She had been feeling this since yesterday, but the reasons weren't known to her.
Trying to find the answers to this anomalous thing happening with her, and the message that was meant for her in The Heavenly Book, she slept earlier than her usual time only to find her late husband to talk to. But even after sleeping for a longer time, she didn't get to see him or hear from his side. It was like she was on her own.
"My lady! You...are you alright?" Carol, who had earlier been standing behind Grand Empress, now sat alongside her with anxious expressions tucked at her face. Worries could be spotted in the form of lines over her forehead. "Yes, I am fine. Why do you ask this?" Empress smiled faintly and replied not looking at Carol. Her sight was capturing the once again setting sun of Dawn mountains before the view in her eyes revamped.
"Nothing. I have been calling you for quite a time, and you didn't respond. I was just worried if you felt any wrongs." Carol expressed her intentions and worries. She knew the lady was troubled but wasn't going to accept it.
"Oh, I was just admiring the sunset. Maybe I was way too engrossed in the view that I failed to pay attention to your words." The lady made up some excuse, but Carol looked through it.
Patting her hands, Carol suggested the Empress,
"My lady, you are anxious over that message. But what if it wasn't meant for you, and someone else! I mean it can mean anything. It could also be a hidden code or something..!"
The Empress tore her eyes away from the open window, and settled over Carol, who had been trying to look through her worries, and smiled.
"I understand. I will figure this out soon. You don't have to worry about this." Averting the topic of discussion, she asked Carol,
"Tell me where are my cherries and peaches? Don't say that you didn't find any!" Her tone was a bit yeast, and Carol laughed out replying,
"It was raining the whole day. So, I couldn't make it to the cherry fields. But if your highness wishes to have then right now, I can go and fetch them." Saying that Carol was just about to stand up from her seat when the old lady held her hands and gestured her to dismiss the idea of visiting the cherry fields at this hour of the evening.
"It's late, and it's not safe at this hour. You can go there tomorrow. Also, pluck some marble lavenders. I want to paint something."
Carol nodded her head and took her to leave, while the old lady just whispered looking at the dark gloomy weather,
"Where are you, Emperor? I need you now."
