Anything For You
Chapter 162

-WITMOURN RAFT KINGDOM~

"My Lord, I am here." A strong manly voice talked besides Timothy aka Silvan, who was still sitting at the back of his royal black horse. Recognizing the owner of that voice, Silvan smiled faintly responding while fastening the reins of his horse, "Nexus, you are so early. I hoped you to arrive a bit later."

"My Lord, The king sent guard Trevor to let me out of the dark alley. As soon he stepped aside, I flew here...and I had washed with sand and air before stepping into this barren area." Nexus replied; voice filled with enthusiasm, and a feeling to go to any lengths for his lord.

"It's not a barren land, Nexus. You said so because you aren't cognizant about the glorious past of this place." Timothy whipped his head towards the source of the voice. Unlike him, Silvan's followers weren't that invisible. They could be sensed by people, and their presence was confirmed by the black layers of dust.

"Apologies, My Lord." Nexus (the dark aura in a human shape) bowed his head.

"You know Nexus, this land spreads up to miles, and it was ruled by witches once. I don't exactly know the ancient name of this place, but I heard there are still witches in this kingdom, but they are living undercover. And the most interesting thing about this kingdom is...no key rules it." Silvan briefed everything about the Witmourn Raft Kingdom, while his horse suddenly went reckless and would just have ended up throwing him down if he hadn't been much careful. "What happened to this thing?" Nexus went curious.

"It shows that there are still witches. We can't stay here for longer. We need to exit from here." Silvan gazed at the dark aura and the latter just nodded.

"But lord... if this place is such dangerous...as you explained, then why did you ask me to meet you here?"

"Nexus, listen to me carefully. This was once a holy place for witches, and witches draw all their powers from the earth. So, I needed a horse to ride on. I told you to wash with air and sand out of the territory because the Kingdom is cursed and its dangers don't work on the ones out of the territory. Also, the most important thing for which I had asked you here is.... I need you to find who is following me!" Silvan ordered Nexus.

The other man just was now bewildered. He didn't see anyone on his way.

"My Lord, are you sure someone is behind you? Because I didn't see anyone!" Nexus was the right hand of Silvan and he had been raised by Silvan. He was like a younger brother to Silvan and hence he could question anything. Once, Silvan even announced him to be his successor if anything happened to him someday. Well, there weren't any chances of that because he was a soul already and he couldn't be killed, unlike now when he had a body to take care of.

"Nexus, this body is a newborn baby for me. It is just twenty-four old. I am not able to use my powers to the fullest yet. I need some more hours. I can sense there is someone, but I can't look at him. So, use your senses and powers and find that man who is following me. He is a soul too. And Nexus, this is an order." Silvan cleared doubts which Nexus had been harboring about the mysterious man he had been talking about.

Bowing his head in respect, Nexus complied, "Consider it done."

"Good, you just must find out who he is. Don't do anything else. Report me immediately. I will go to the Dawn Mountains directly from here. Till the moment I am in the Witmourn Raft Kingdom, he won't be able to follow me, but after that, I need to know him." Silvan said his last set of words and flew away riding the horse at full speed. He had to reach the Dawn Mountains before the sunset; a disadvantage of this human body. He sure didn't want to be killed by the poisoned arrows of Dawn Mountain guards or Wolf bites in case he was found trespassing in the middle of the night.

Approaching towards the edge of Witmourn Raft Kingdom, Nexus halted just at the thin of a territorial line that separated the kingdom from the rest of the land. Feeling something powerful in there, he was certain that it wasn't just his suspicion. As directed and ordered by Silvan, he started to look for someone or something that could be considered as the one following Silvan but found no one.

It was as though the Witmourn Raft formed an opaque gloom at its territory to not allow anybody to look what was outside or inside perhaps. Bounded by order, Nexus stepped out of the territory and channelized himself. He could connect with the air and sense any other souls of energies of supernatural origin; perks of having special powers.

For as long as he kept on doing this, nothing odd was suspected. Slowly he was getting drained and thought of pausing a little before starting again. Just then, Nexus felt something strong; electrifying energy crossing his being.

Getting electrocuted was the first thing that happened to him; being shocked was the second one. It wasn't dark energy. Murmuring faintly, he was trying to compose his shattered particles, "Was it... Was it...A pure soul?"

To his utter surprise, there was someone who answered on his behalf,

"Yes. It is. Where is your master? And why are you here?" The manly voice asked. All Nexus could feel were the emotions of agitation in the voice trying to mock him.

"Who are you? Why are you following master? Sensing your powers and aura, I am cognizant that King Dankein Cosh didn't send you here. Then, why are you here?" Nexus showcased his bravery and questioned the invisible man. He indeed was a soul. 'Lord Silvan was right. He thought.

"Whosoever I am, tell your lord that I won't let him harm The Empress. Even if he succeeds in doing so, your master Dankein won't get anything from her." The manly aura replied with full determination.

Nexus thought and reflected his words for a while and looked here and there- shocked, surprised, wide-eyed, and bewildered- all the emotions together had been meddling up in his being. Realization hit him bard and he ended up asking, "Em...Emperor of Werewolves! Is...is that you?"

The manly aura didn't reply and left the place, while Nexus found himself being glued to the same spot feeling how would he break this information to Silvan.

He was already out of the territory of The Witmourn Raft Kingdom. Silva was inside the territory, and he had ordered Nexus to find the one following him before he exited the Kingdom. Turning towards the kingdom again, he washed off with sand and air and entered the kingdom. Riding over the blowing wind in full speed, he marched towards the direction Silvan was headed to.

Silva had been riding his royal horse in full force. His mind was wandering over many places at one time. He needed to leave the Witmourn Raft, enter the Dawn Mountains before sunset, and barge in the castle to gather information about the Grand Empress...all without being spotted involved with the one following him.

"My lord....." Silva heard Nexus calling him from behind. He was in a human body, but he had dark powers and hence he could hear him. Pulling the reins of his horse tightly, Silvan made the animal stop abruptly in its tracks and waited for Nexus to arrive. "Who is he?" It was the first question Silvan asked as soon as Nexus arrived close to him.

"He...he told me to convey that neither you nor King Dankein Cosh would be able to get any information from Grand Empress. And...and.." Hearing Nexus stammering, Silvan understood there was something else, something far more important than this message of his follower.

Holding the reins tightly, ready to pull and match forwards, he gazed at the direction where Nexus had been standing, and ordered,

"Report. NOW."

"My Lord, he...he is none other than the Werewolf Emperor himself."

Scrunching his brows together, Silvan said in a questionable gesture,

"Emperor?... But isn't he dead already?"

"It was...it was his soul, My lord. He...he is a pure soul. We can't fight him. He is way too powerful now, not like in the past." Nexus interjected with a stuttering tone.

Understanding his concerns, Silvan nodded and said,

"Fine... if we can't fight him, we can delay him, and dodge him. It's the only way to enter the Dawn Mountains now. Nexus, you come with me and when I step out of the Kingdom, try to delay the Emperor with this. I will sneak in." Silvan offered a little red bag to Nexus, and the latter accepted it with a confused feeling.

But as soon as Nexus got a hold of the red bag, his senses told him the contents of the bag. Worrying the consequences, Nexus immediately enquired,

"My lord, are you sure you want to do this? If he did the same to you, this vessel will be injured to an extent that you would get trapped in here forever."

"Don't worry. He is a pure soul. He can't enter here without the witches' permission. And the witches never allow pure souls in here. Just do as I say." Saying that he pulled the reins and disappeared into the blowing sand carried by the wind.
