"Are you sure that you don't want to wait for your dad? I mean, won't you like to see him before leaving?" Emerald asked Scarlet, who had already made herself comfortable on the co-pilot swat of his car and was now fastening the seat belt. "Yes, I am." Came her short and reserved reply, but her voice shivered. Emerald knew she was fighting a battle with her inner-self, a battle of emotions, feelings, relationships and not leaving the loved ones behind. To him, this battle seemed to be more life- threatening than the one they were going to fight after tomorrow.

"Babe, you..."

"We should be going now. It's already quite late and the drive to WEREALM would essentially take four long hours." Scarlet said cutting Emerald in the middle who was just caressing her hair. Nodding in understanding, Emerald stepped on the gas suggesting, "You know that we can take another route. I can take you there. We can teleport. No need to travel by car." He looked at her smiling warmly. She denied.

"We can. But I don't want to. I want to enjoy this drive with you." Emerald felt a bit strange. Earlier, she never said that. Now they were at war and were already running short of time, and she just wanted a long drive! Strange! He muttered to himself and carried on. Shala was preparing to leave when Jessica knocked at his door. Witnessing him arranging his necessary things, she couldn't stop but ask,

"Are you also leaving, uncle Shala?" Her tone was not gentle as it used to be. It carried emotions. She was afraid; afraid for her dear daughter, afraid for the consequences of whatever was happening. Shala spared her a meek glace and gestured her to sit. "Scarlet is a born fighter, Jessica. You should not worry about anything. I am leaving because I want to be there in case of her need. This time, it's her choice that will decide her survival. So, just trust your daughter. She isn't alone." Saying that Shala patted Jessica's head and left the room carrying his little bag while Jessica was drawing in the whirlwind of emotions.

"In case, I need you...then you need to be with me. I can't lose this time." Dankein said to Silvan who was leisurely sipping his tea and Nexus was eavesdropping over the door of Dankein's castle room.

"I told you to befriend that girl of yours. But you waged a war! It's not an impressive move, Dank. Women love to be pampered, spoiled, loved, paid attention to. They love when men fight for them. But, I must tell you...this woman of yours...she fights her battles alone. So, if she roasts you in the war, don't expect any help from me. I have just been born, I don't want to die." Silvan said with mockery.

"But if you insist, then I can let Nexus accompany you. I..."

"No, Lord. How can you do this to me? I ...I am not going to fight any war. I am a girl, alone, weak girl. I can't fight with these rogues." Nexus interrupted barging in the room startling the two men. Her eyes pleaded to Silvan. Silvan had started to enjoy teasing her so much in the past few days.

"Look at you! How pathetic. Don't you also have supernatural powers, han? Why are so coward, now. You hated being this girl and see...now using this girl to save your sorry a*s." Silvan jeered and Nexus hissed. If he could kill Silvan, he would have done so for this humiliation and mockery.

"I will send my powers with you, Dankein. But we won't be accompanying you. It's not our war." Saying that Silvan kept the empty teacup over the table and left the room. "This ungrateful leec..."

"Don't curse me...!" Silvan said from the corridor when Dankein was just about to badmouth him. ~WEREALM-

"What do you think? Do we have any other option? We must fight this war. And I have already spread the news in our clan. Emerald and Scarlet will be here soon." The King said pacing back and forth in his room where his wife was sitting and she had asked him to reconsider the option of war.

"I know. But, I don't know why my heart is restless. I feel like this war will take away something from us." The Luna said hauling up and approaching her husband.

"Even if that is the case, we can't show our back. We are warriors. We must fight. Also, mother is held captive. We must fight and we must win. At any cost." The King said finishing his words and Luna was about to say something when they heard the wolves addressing 'Alpha. It took them no time to decipher who could it be.

"Emmy, Scarlet. Finally, you are here." Luna approached both and hugged them tightly and the king patted their heads affectionately. Eva and Sammer also joined. Scarlet broke the hug and glanced at everyone. So many questions, so many doubts, so many insecurities, so many confusions, just so many.

"I am tired. I want to rest." Scarlet announced and moved towards Emerald's room.

"She is upset. So much is happening. She needs some time." Emerald said on her behalf to his family who just nodded. They had to understand the couple.

It was already dark outside and the clock was running at its usual speed. Scarlet was still inside the room lying in bed. Sleep was nowhere to be spotted in her beautiful eyes. Evanora, Dream-Catchers, Emerald's life, the weapon, the elements, all the things had messed her mind insanely.

Ammy, the Chinchilla was still here in the room and was moving close to her snuggling into her figure. Caressing its soft white fur, Scarlet whispered to Ammy,

"You will have to take care of Emerald on my behalf. When I am gone, be a good child and don't piss him off." The little Chinchilla made some shriek-y noises and licked Scarlet's fingers when the moonlight entered the room and landed on its white fur making it shine in silver.

Scarlet scanned the white shining fur of Ammy and immediately left the bedroom searching for Emerald when she bumped with a lady. But before she could lash out at her, she beamed into happiness and hugged the lady dressed in a fire-orange midi skirt flaunting her soft white skin.

"Osiris! Oh my God! Finally. I have been waiting for you." Scarlet wrapped the lady in a tight hug and the lady reciprocated.

"You are so beautiful, Trinity. And I am honored to be here for any help." Osiris said. A light flicker of moonlight was coming from the side window making Osiris look magnificent and a Holy Creature. Her fire-orange dress and her red-golden hairs made her appear like a Goddess of fire.

Scarlet smiled and glanced at her beautiful hair that was cascading down to her hips. Osiris looked through Scarlet's eyes and stepped aside making way for her,

"He is upstairs." Scarlet sighed and nodded. Oz and Osiris always looked through her intentions. Just when Scarlet was about to rush upstairs, Osiris called her saying,

"He looks a lot like Ozouf."

At the castle roof, Emerald was sitting over the raised platform gazing at the night Jasmine's and other flowers that were a rare sight in WEREALM when he heard faint footsteps of Scarlet. "What are you doing here, alone?" Scarlet questioned grabbing a spot close to him and wrapping her hands around his waist. Emerald smiled.

"I am enjoying the view. It's Red Moon today. It's the most sacred to all the moon transitions for us. Grandpa used to sit all night in Red Moon because he wanted to control his wolf." Emerald said and they heard many howls of werewolves coming from different directions of WEREALM. Scarlet looked at Emerald for answers.

"The normal werewolves can't control their shifts under the full moon. But Grandpa could and I can too. They are howling thanking the moon Goddess for those powers she had blessed them with. Do you know you can lock this moonlight too!" Emerald looked at Scarlet who was just listening to him attentively and denied his question.

"Emmy, can I ask you something?" She asked him and instantly Emerald's hands went across her shoulders wrapping her tightly. He was worried that she would ask something he won't be able to answer. But still, he hummed.

"No matter what happens, you will not die. Promise me, Emmy!" Scarlet said with teary eyes. Emerald made her rest over his chest and patted her back. He knew she would never break down, but he needed to keep her calm. "I will." He answered, not being certain of his answer. "Don't cry. Do you want anything? Can I do something for you, love?" He asked calming her.

"Mark me. Now." Scarlet said out of the blue with determination in her eyes. Her gaze assured Emerald that she would not back out and she would not be at ease until he complies with her. He nodded and faced her. Wiping away the tear stains from her cheeks, Emerald looked into her eyes with his shining golden eyes,

"It will hurt a bit." She nodded and he lowered his head into the crook of her neck inhaling her soft scent. Her soft delicious flesh came into his view and his fangs appeared. While Emerald was preparing for marking her, Scarlet called for the magic wand she used when she was Trinity. The magical wand appeared in her hand and she darted the star over the wand towards the round, huge, Red moon shining in the night sky.

When Emerald's fangs dipped in her flesh, she let out a whimper and released the powers of her wand. The red moonlight started flowing towards her wand like water from the sky and when Emerald was about to take out his fangs from her neck, she redirected the wand towards her neck. All the trapped moonlight entered the 'Mate Mark' and Emerald separated his dripping fangs from her neck.

Licking the blood drops off his fangs, Emerald looked at Scarlet. His eyes still held the same golden glow and he murmured,

"Mate," with so much affection. But in the second instant, the blood drops over Scarlet's neck dried away and the open wound closed. It started shining emitting Reddish blue light. The Mark changed shape and appeared like a little Red Moon over her neck. He narrowed his gaze and looked at her for an explanation.

Scarlet smiled. Emerald witnessed the fairy wand in her hand and was about touch it when she sent it back. She ran her fingers through his hair; her eyes shining ocean blue showcasing her mermaid taking over her human longing for his love,

"I trapped the Red Moon Light in My 'Mate Mark, my Mate."
