After five years~

“Alpha, I have done all the things. I feel tired. Please let me have a day off. Please, brother, please” Sammer was pleading with hands folded in a begging manner in front of Emerald who looked cold, aloof, and not moved at all. His eyes were blank and his face was expressionless. Giving no replies, he just turned his back to Sam and waved his hand indicating that Sam's wish had been granted.

The younger prince beamed into happiness and hugged Emerald who never responded at all. All this was witnessed by his mother, Rosy Azure, the Luna. Her eyes turned teary again. Watching her dear child living like a corpse was not a soothing sight for her.

Even since the battle had happened, everything had been changed in everyone's lives. With no traces of Scarlet on the battlefield, Emerald turned into a cold stone and wreaked havoc everywhere hoping to find her at least somewhere. But none of his efforts paid. People used to convince him that she is dead and would never come back, but Emerald never agreed, and instead, he drowned himself into work. These days everything in the kingdom was being handled by him, and yet he never took over the throne.

“I am waiting for my Luna,” He always said that. Year after year, King Jasper Azure stopped urging him and let him heal with time. Regarding Grand Empress, she was freed from the Dark dungeons of Siesta valley after the werewolves won the war and Siesta was now under Azure's jurisdiction, but people had the right to vote and all other things with no nominal king. Hebrew Roxflood used to visit the WEREALM with his wife Veronica Roxflood sometimes after his help in the war. How badly he hoped for his little sister to be alive again!

Emerald was sitting on the terrace looking at the setting sun that reflected orange in the sky of WEREALM. He longed for Scarlet, her continuous nagging and blabbering, her always being hungry for something, her extraordinary locks, her ocean blue eyes, her plump lips, and the love she had for him. Unknowingly, a lone tear escaped his right eye splattering over the ground getting seeped in.

After spending a good time alone, he was heading towards his room. Since the winter was approaching, the days were usually shorter and it was another full moon today. With both the setting sun and rising moon, the sky looked marvelous. If only Scarlet could have been there with him!

Emerald was at the door of his room when his nostrils registered a familiar scent. A soft, warm, peachy scent mixed with tons of Tulips and the heightened aroma of the sea. His eyes shone in golden yellow and his breathing hitched. He knew this scent. His heart started pounding in his chest. He felt like this with only her. Was she here? Finally!

Downstairs, a little boy was running with his tiny feet as if he was measuring the dimensions of Azure castle when he bumped into someone. Hugging reflexively the person's legs, the boy escaped his sudden fall and raised his head to look up. He had never seen someone like the girl he had been hugging. She was so pretty.

“Pretty aunty.” He murmured with a cute smile and the girl crouched down to his level holding him in her arms. The little boy immediately turned horrified and struggled for his release. The girl couldn't decipher his sudden behavioral change and let him go. The moment that little boy's tiny feet touched the ground, he bowed like the Azure soldiers in front of that girl, “Luna.”

His sudden greeting took the girl off guard. The boy was still bowing when he heard Jenny calling him,

“You brat! Now you know how to stop running after making me breathe like a fat cow! I will give you a good beating, you naughty kid. I will..” Jenny's voice was sucked in her throat and a gasp left her lips. She couldn't believe what she had seen.

“Scarlet! Oh My God, Scarlet! Is...is that you? God, you are alive,” saying that Jenny wrapped Scarlet in a tight bear hug and the girl reciprocated with the same warmth gesturing little Kair to be at ease in between. Hearing the commotion, Mr. And Mrs. Azure arrived along with Sammer and Eva who were about to leave for the pub only to get frozen.

One by one, everyone took turns and wrapped Scarlet in hugs checking her body and wounds. She looked perfectly fine as if nothing ever happened.

“Bitch! You remember me?” Eva shouted and hit Scarlet over her shoulder earning the same frown Scarlet used to give her back then.

“This is Kair, our son." Jack introduced little Kair to Scarlet side-hugging Jenny. Scarlet went surprised to find that they had a four-year-old baby and Jenny married Jack, but she was happy and saw through the kid. Another supernatural being.

“But you were not there when Emmy killed Evanora. Where have you been all this while?” Rosy questioned Scarlet. Well, this question messed up everyone's mind, but nobody dared to put it. Scarlet sighed.

“After Emerald killed Evanora, Mara saw through my situation. The weapon went through my navel into my abdomen and had sucked out most of my mermaid powers. I needed to return to the sea to recuperate. So, Sozm took me away without informing anyone. They weren't certain about my survival. Mother Ginevra forbade them to contact you all because she didn't want you to live with false hopes. It almost took me three years to recuperate and another year to shift again. After that, I was crowned as the Queen of mermaids and my purpose was to gather all the sea beings together and unite them.

Last year I had spent working for that. Now, the situation is better, but I can't go for any battles and fights for three more years. Amoha says that because of Ragnara stone, they had to suppress my mermaid powers to save me and they will take another three years to resurface. I got free yesterday and I am here now.” Scarlet explained everything.

“That means there are more mermaids out there like you?” Eva asked and Jenny gave her a what-a-dumb-question-you-are-asking look. Scarlet smiled and nodded. She had met everyone, but the one her heart longed for was still nowhere. Her eyes kept on searching him everywhere when Rosy said,

“He has never believed that you are dead. He was the only one who was adamant that you will come back. He kept searching for you. He has changed so much in these past years, Scarlet. I have seen him cry for you, something a werewolf would never be able to do.” Scarlet felt guilty for leaving her love like that.

She wanted to know more about Emerald when she found his presence near her. Her heartbeat fastened and the Red Moon Mate Mark over her neck started glowing indicating that Emerald was nearby. Unknowingly, she hauled up and went upstairs.

Entering over the little garden on the terrace, she found Emerald sitting alone looking at the sky gazing at the full moon. He had already registered her presence behind him, but he didn’t dare to turn afraid of being in a dream and one wrong move and his dream would be shattered.

Scarlet approached Emerald and sat beside him. Grabbing his shoulder, she whispered, “Emerald!”

The moment Scarlet uttered his name, Emerald turned in the speed of light and engulfed her figure in a tight hug leaving no air in between them. How bad he wanted to hug her, inhale her, kiss her, feel her, touch her! Pouring down all his emotions, he managed to ask just one question in the crook of her neck sniffing the Red Moon Mate Mark,

“Why did you leave me? Why did you do this? Why did you?" His voice was trembling as if he was trying hard not to break down. Scarlet just patted his back softly and snuggled in his embrace more,

“Because I love you. I love you hopelessly, desperately, endlessly, supernaturally, and with my life and death. Because I can do ANYTHING FOR YOU."

He broke down and sealed her lips that stopped uttering words and poured emotions, all the love, all the feelings she had for him, he had for her, they had for each other. After an interval, they broke the kiss to breathe when Emerald looked straight into Scarlet's eyes,

“You have done your part. Now let me be the one you can lean on. Let me do Anything For You. Will you?" Scarlet smiled. And rubbed Emerald’s stubble.

“You need to shave it before we get married.” Emerald teased her wiggling his eyebrows, “Forget about asking your hand from Mr. And Mrs. Lozenge and let me devour you first"

And the Moon witnessed their Heavenly, Majestic, and erotic Love from the corner of its eyes turning red.
