Since no royal would put out his or her sword against the pearl and the person using the pearl, so they would just kill the younger Cross couple.

When Melanie and Ester were going towards their house, in the middle of snow covered Mountains, Ester heard strange screeching sounds of creatures which was a bad omen and was never heard in that area. Being a royal being, he was aware about the reason behind this sound. It was always heard only when the demons were nearby. Thus he had picked up his pace and started to ride the horse even more fastly.

He ordered his guards to hurry up as they needed to cross the mountains sooner. He didn't want to face or fight the demons at this moment not because he was afraid or something but because he had his pregnant wife with him right now and her safety was his first priority. But maybe fate had some other plans.

Just when he was about to turn the Dusk range of Mountains, the demons started to step in front of them one by one to stop them in their tracks.

One by one.. one by one... it was like hundreds and thousands of them. Ester knew that they were there for a dangerous motive. Thus he just wanted to talk to them, so as to ensure his wife's safety.

He stepped down from his own horse and also the carriage halted in its steps as the fairy soldiers carrying it were dumbstruck after watching the hundreds of demon soldiers landing in front of them like they were falling from sky. It was a fearful situation. Ester was still calm and he was maintaining his own self-composure so as not to let the enemy think that he is getting afraid or something like that.

Melanie who was sitting soundly in the carriage was also getting suspicious and thus she asked one of the helper fairy who were accompanying her through out the ride..

"Neena.. are you there?"

"Y.. y .yes, .. my lady. I am right.. here." replied Neena while stuttering because she was hell scared after watching so many demons. She had been a helper maid since 5 years and had been by Melanie's side all this while but she didn't witness anything like that. Although she was a young little fairy, yet she didn't take a bit of time to understand the fact that demons are here to harm to either Lady Melanie or Younger prince Ester.

"Why are you stuttering like this .!? what happened out there? why did the carriage halt ?" Melanie asked numerous questions one by one not giving Neena a moment to talk back.

Neena who was so afraid and scared like her soul would wander away in these mountains leaving her meek body any time became even more perplexed and thought number of excuses inside her mind that she could process and serve Lady Melanie in order to make her worried in this chaotic situation.

After thinking for a while, Neena replied being still dazzled..." My m..my lady.. the chief fairy of our group said that someone of the group had slipped his feet in the ice covered area and had been injured. They had.. they had stopped just to take a look at his wound in order to check it."

She told a lie... a white lie. Although being a fairy, she was forbidden to tell a lie but Because of Ester's strong commands to all the maids and servents that his expectant wife shouldn't be worried about anything, she retorted to disregard the truth. But Melanie wasn't any ordinary fairy who couldn't sense the demons. She was the daughter in law of royals and was now carrying the royal baby in her womb. Thus, the presence of demons didn't go unnoticed by her strong senses.

She knew that her senses were never wrong and thus she at once became alarmed that there was some strong danger because if which Neena was lying. She unknowingly put her both hands over her belly to protect her child.

"Neena.. I want to talk to His highness now." she expressed her desire to talk to her husband right away so that she could ensure his safety too.

"But my .. my lady.. His highness is talking to someone. He had ordered for us to guard to completely and not let you out of the carriage." said Neena still watching the rows of soldiers.

Melanie knew that now there was no way out that she could go from there and talk to her husband. So, she sat straight in her position and started to chant her spells to mind link with Ester.

On the other side, Ester was also dazzled to witness so many demon soldiers in front of him but the thing which was worrying him even more was not the number of soldiers, but was that there wasn't any chief to give them orders. It semt that they didn't felt the need to have any chief soldier and were there to fulfill the task assigned to them.

When he just took a step to approach the soldiers standing in front of him, he was stopped in the middle when he witnessed Melanie standing there. He at once knew that it wasn't her, but her shadow who was trying to mind link her.

He made her understand the whole situation saying in his mind ...

"Dear, stay in your carriage for 15 minutes. I am going to talk to the demons and find out their purpose here. If they try to do anything malicious, you know what to do...."

But Melanie wasn't ready for this. She said..

"No, I won't leave you here husband. You promised to be here with me when our baby would be born."

"Don't be emotional honey. You have to protect yourself and our child. Go, Hurry up and stay there. If you feel anything dangerous... just go from here towards the east side and leave your shadow here to distract them. I will find you afterwards." said Ester. "But.." she was paused amidst when Ester shoved his hands in the air and she came back to the carriage.

Ester took 3-4 more steps which seem to be extra calm and rather unhasty which were enough to rage the demons even more. The demon king Davash was watching all this sitting on his throne in his kingdom of Hell using his powers.

"Why did you block my way?" Ester was way too straightforward in his tongue and asked this question to the soldiers over there. But none of them replied. They were standing like they were kind of statues with long bows piercing the snow covered land making the large holes in the ground.

When Ester didn't get any response, he thought to ask again for one last time. Doing this, he was trying to buy more and more time so that if Melanie sensed any danger, she could save herself and her baby. But before something came from his lips, the soldier standing in the middle of first row spoke...

"We are here to kill you and your wife." He had a grin plastered over his lips which didn't go unnoticed by Ester. This raged him and he lost control.

Ester called for his royal Sword and in a moment it appeared in his right hand ready to taste the blood of all the demons.

"Before you touch even a single hair of my wife... I would chop you alllll...." saying this he attacked on them and it was a signal for the other fairies to join in the war too.

Within moments, there were heard the shrills, cries and sounds of people who were hurting, grunting and killing. The man over there was alone fighting with hundreds of them and demon king knew this for sure that he would get tired soon and then they would kill him mercilessly.

Thus, he mind ordered some of the soldiers to head towards the carriage so that they could achieve the goal of killing his wife too. They followed the orders and attacked the carriage. The maids who were low ranked fairies were killed soon but Melanie knew that and she had managed to take in some of them along with Neena.

She had been meditating and soon a blue colored ball like structure appeared over her carriage. It was a barrier which would keep the demons away from her for some time. She knew what her husband had told her to do, but she didn't want to run like a coward. She was continuously trying to stop the demons with her mind powers. One of the demon soldiers took the chance and pierced his bow in right leg of Ester when he was fighting with three others. He was taken off guard, still he didn't stop. He spotted the soldiers attacking the carriage and thus headed towards Melanie.

Soon, the barrier was broken because Melanie was pregnant and her child needed the energy. so the barrier couldn't last longer. The demons took out the maids and Melanie ruthlessly dragging them. They tried to kill Melanie but one of maids blocked the attack and died on the spot.

Still they were too many and hence one of them attacked her from behind in her right arm which made the blood to ooze like a fountain. She was drained, and turned pale. Moment by moment, she was loosing blood. Thus, she couldn't balance herself and slowly fell down. Neena was injured too but was holding her.

Ester approached her and in a split second, the King Cross, Ember Cross and other higher fairies came there for assistance. It was Melanie who contacted them via her mind Power. Thus, they all were engaged in a fight.

They all were fighting when they heard a painful cry of Melanie. Ester killing everybody in his way, took her in his lap. But she was crying badly holding her belly.

"Wife .. what.. what happened dear ..!?" asked Ester panicking to which Melanie responded lowly...

"Husband.. the baby... the baby.. the baby is coming....."
