Chapter 75

"It's another session of your power search today and it was scheduled to be sharp at 6pm, yet you are nowhere to be found. Where exactly are you?" Luke had been running out of patience since he had been waiting for Scarlet from the last 3 hours but here she didn't even arrive.

"I am sorry. I got struck in something. I am on my way, will arrive there shortly. Please give me some time." She was breathing heavily and was quite hungry also. Actually, she was with her friends in group studies when she lost track of time and happened to skip her session with Luke today which made him bark like a raged dog.

Hoping that he wouldn't scold her more, she immediately hanged up the call and peddled more fastly on the bicycle not to piss him even more than he already was at the given moment.

After a long while of complete 20minutes, she arrived at his villa. Parking the bicycle in the sideway garage which happened to welcome all his cars and bikes collected out of passion, she rushed towards the main door after stabilizing her raspy breaths murmuring something to herself which seemed to be only audible to her, but a sharp voice made her halt in her paces.

"I don't need anybody to believe that I am a werewolf, when I actually am. So, stop murmuring things like that after taking a quick tour to my garage and follow me towards the poolside."

Giving her no chance to utter anything, he took large strides while she meekly followed him holding her grumbling stomach only hoping him to have mercy on her poor soul and offer her something to eat after the session ends.

"Be quick, little girl." Ordering the girl behind him, Luke turned slightly away from the pond. It was supposed to be the last session of their collective attempts to find more about her powers, if nothing new popped up today. Hence, he spared almost the whole of his evening but this clumsy girl had never ceased to piss him off.

Lowering herself slowly in the pool and getting drowned completely, she closed her eyes and shifted to her mermaid self with the shreds of her pants scattered here and there inside the pool water. Watching him sigh, she retorted before any words formed into a complex insulting sentence from his side could hunt her ears....

"Don't worry. I have extra pants. If you want to offer something, I would be pleased to have some food considering the fact that I am hungry, a lot."

Luke rolled his eyes showing his annoyance and started to chant some spells. Soon some little balls of white color were seen getting emitted from his hands and at once landed on the girl's chest taking her off guard. She got thrown backwards in the pool in a swoosh splashing the large quantities of water out of that pool. Growling in a slight Pain, her brows frowned and creased only to give the blow back to that man before screaming... "You... you should have told me. I wasn't ready at all."

Changing her raged and furious expressions in a split moment to puppy faced, she murmured lowering her head down holding the spot where she got hit earlier...

"Besides, I am hungry also."

"Moon Goddess!! Can't you just keep away that huger for a time and concentrate girl. We don't have much time left." This time his voice came out frustrated and his gesture of running hands in his own hairs was enough to prove it. "Fine, do it again. I am ready now."

Another blow was just about to land on her body but she just dodged it professionally like she had always been doing it. Soon, a series of magical blows started to land in water by both the sides and then, something unexpected happened. The girl just came out of water wrapping the water around her like a cloth and started to land even more strong blows to the man who seemed to have at loss.

Forming punches of her both hands, she threw her hands up in the air like summoning something and directed it towards the direction where some Ashoka trees were standing high showing off the years they had survived. Within a swift moment, all the trees got devastated and down casted on ground drenched into water as if eroded from roots by a severe flood. She opened her fist still directed to the trees and they turned into ashes.

Luke who had been standing in the side witnessed everything being amazed with a wide-opened jaw. Approaching the girl slowly, he whispered by her ears....

"Change into something dry, girl. I will arrange for food in the meantime."

Looking at his disappearing figure, the girl sighed and became relaxed opening her fists and looking at the havoc she just created. Not believing what she really did, she felt proud of herself and patted her shoulders imaginatively... "Well done, Scarf. It was enough to scare off that angry wolf. Now my hungry baby, let's go to feed you."

After 15 minutes,

The man was arranging the dishes dinning table neatly hoping for the hungry lady to arrive and munch upon, when he just heard her voice.

"I must say, you are really a good chef, Mr. Camel."

Sitting in a comfortable position, she gestured him to join in too while displaying a little bit of her table manner this time only to earn a low chuckle from him. How she thought that she did scare him. This man was really something. But as long as he provides her tasty food to eat, his anger was worth tolerating.

"So, I think... We have successfully found out about your powers and the triggers that can unleash them. I guess the sessions are over now."

Hearing him say, this was what she expected from her first session. He was a man on mission and he was bound to leave after its completion and she completely understood this. But now, she wasn't in the mood to say goodbyes, hence, focused on eating the delicious Pasta, Crabs and Salmon with some red wine.

Finishing her dinner, she felt full and happy like a kid. Grabbing all the empty utensils, she at once announced to the man...

"I will do the dishes, considering the fact that I was successful in scaring you, Mentor."

Just as she approached him to grab the dishes, his nostrils caught a familiar smell. Immediately getting a hold of her slender wrist, he made her sit back besides him and asked narrowing his eyes which the frown in between his eyes brows never left, "What's that smell?"

Scarlet... "Huh!?"

Not understanding what he meant exactly with the smell phrase as she just had showered and changed her clothes too, she made an all unknowing face and never stopped giving him looks as if cross-questioning him. "Are you somehow involved with the Alpha?"

That's it. How did he know this!! She clearly didn't tell him about that Mate thing and other stuffs, not because she didn't want to, but she didn't know how to. But now she was caught and her fiddling with her own fingers was making it more clear to Luke that he was right.

Although, Luke wasn't a member of any pack of werewolves, still he had earned his powers proving his worth and he surely knew all the alphas, Lunas and their smells. Besides this smell was days old and if it still persisted, it could only be him, Emerald Azure! How could he be mistaken then!! "Actually, I.. I..."

"Well, no need to tell me anything. The Alpha has clearly left his smell all over you. And what I know, it's Emerald, the Alpha of CRESCENT MOON pack." Luke completed his sentence and still his face was expressionless which was enough for the girl besides him to be scared.

Sensing the fear in her body movements, Luke chuckled and reminded her...

"Somebody was too aloof to have me scared, Little girl." And pinched her nose bridge playfully.

"He is my mate, I mean I am his mate. We both are, actually, each other's mates and so the smell..."

"I accept you as a Luna of the pack, despite that I am not a pack member. But this title comes with huge sacrifices. So, be prepared, Scarlet Lozenge."

She was at the loss of words and could only hope for Luke to wish her luck but what he said made her heart skip a beat in terror and the lines over her already frowned forehead even more deeper, for it was the first time, he had called her full name, and when he did so.... His voice sounded disaster.
