Anything For You -
Chapter 88
Sitting over their respective chairs, the three people were dinning the delicious food items, which lady EVANORA had arranged in the snap of her fingers magically. In this way, she was showing her respect to the king, and the king and his subordinate were enjoying her hospitality. But we're the things really that harmonious and simple, as they appeared to be, or it was just another illusion crafted by EVANORA, just like everything else around them!
Finishing the meals, Egon kept the spoon aside and wiped his mouth with the towel provided by EVANORA, of course with her magic again. Sensing this, Akhim also followed, while his gaze wandered over the expressionless faces of two people ahead, who were looking at each other for a moment or two.
ease the awkwardness and calm the environment, Akhim coughed slightly, getting attention from both the parties. Egon retreated his gaze from EVANORA, and looked towards Akhim, as if trying to communicate with him through his eyes. While EVANORA's eyes were still struck over Egon's glabella, as if she was trying to look through his soul.
A slight frown appeared on her opalescent glassy white forehead, because of being interrupted by Akhim. In the other moment, the lady's eye-piercing gaze landed over Akhim, prying over his intentions, which were as pure as a Holy river.
She thought in her mind, 'Hmm... so, he is worried for his king. What a loyal subordinate!'. A quick and mysterious smile appeared over her full lips making them even more fuller.
Egon came back to the moment, and cleared his throat, saying,
"Lady EVANORA, Thank you for this great hospitality of yours. I must say, I didn't expect that you would be aware of my identity."
He paused in the middle to frame the next sentence, but EVANORA spoke up, her voice sounding like a melody,
"Its my pleasure, Your Majesty. A king should be respected always."
Hauling up from her sit, and elegantly carrying her attire of a noble respected witch lady, she knew what Egon was about to say next, and nodded before gesturing both of them to follow her to the other side of room.
All the people reached to the other end of that room, which appeared to be like a hall, decorated with various things, all of which were real, and not magical. There were various different kinds of lanterns, many animals, colored powders kept in glass plates, many neck garlands and other jewelries. But the thing that caught Egon's attention was crystal balls.
There wasn't only one, but many many crystal balls, made of different materials and different shapes and sizes. This witch seemed to be even more wealthier than Egon himself.
EVANORA sensed the thoughts that Egon had been carrying, and whispered in his ears standing in her position from afar,
"Your Majesty, you flattered me. I am not wealthier than you. These are some gifts from the ones whom I had helped."
Egon understood her words and nodded. He took two steps ahead, when Evanora gestured him to take a sit opposite to her, while she herself sat down on her sit. Egon followed her gestures, and took the sit, while Akhim wasn't able to understand what had been happening.
Since he wasn't here to ask for any help, so Evanora trapped him in a mental maze. Akhim was still glued to his spot, but in his mind, he was roaming and wandering around in the room along with Egon and both of them were exploring the room being Mesmerized. Egon frowned his brows looking at puzzled Akhim. Sensing his confusion, Evanora mentioned,
"Don't worry, Your Majesty. He is fine. I have trapped him for some time, till we continue to chat."
Egon was at loss of words. He nodded in understanding since he didn't have any other options for the time being. Suddenly, a large shining and rounded crystal ball appeared in front of both of them over a table placed in between them. Egon got startled all of a sudden, but calmed his senses immediately.
Evanora smiled gently. She looked at Egon for continuing. Egon sighed a long sigh, as if he had been holding breath since a long time, puffing in a mouthful of air towards his lungs, and nodded in a yes. Evanora closed her eyes, chanted some spells, and the ball started to glow in a bright yellow color.
The intensity of that color was so bright that Egon felt his eyes getting dazzled for a split second. Not being able to see anything except a yellow light coming out of that crystal ball, Egon covered his eyes shutting them with his hands.
Evanora adjusted the intensity of light from that ball, and called Egon to open his eyes. When he opened his eyes, the light was a bit bearable. Whispering in a tone only audible to the two of them, Evanora asked Egon, "Tell me, what do you want me to look for?"
Her voice was a whisper, yet it was so domineering that Egon felt his soul getting numb. Maybe not because of the effect of her voice, but because of his question. He was sure that he wanted to know everything that had happened back then with his father, but still he was afraid.
He was afraid of encountering a truth that would turn his life upside down. Since the day, he left that tribal village to meet EVANORA YOUNGBLOOD, he wasn't having any visions. He wasn't able to see his father anymore in his visions showing him the path. He knew he was on the right path, and only Evanora could tell him the truth. But now when the moment of confronting truth was there, he was getting scared. He maybe a king to a very strong Empire, but deep down he was still a child, who loved his dear father, and wanted to be with him only. He wasn't responding at all. Evanora wasn't only a witch, but a psychic also. She had sensed all those fears of Egon, and since the crystal ball had been connect with Egon now after her chanting the spell, it was clear that Egon wasn't still ready.
The ball started to shake violently, showing his fears, his insecurities, and his reluctance. Soon, the color of ball turned red from bright yellow. Looking at this change, Evanora murmured, "It's bad."
She then tried to calm Egon down, calling him loudly, because by now he had slipped into his memories of past with his father, and his hardships that he had encountered without him. "Egon, calm yourself down right now. You are affecting the ball. Egon, step out of your fears and face the truth."
Not getting any response from him, she got flabbergasted, and called him again, this time more loudly,
"EGON....!"
Listening to someone calling his name, Egon stepped out of his memory lane, and looked at her. He observed the shaking crystal ball. Before there appeared any crack in it, he calmed himself down.
Within a moment, the ball stopped shaking and it's color returned back to yellow from red. Evanora sighed in relief. It was a good thing that Egon had been relaxed, or else she would have lost the precious crystal ball. She was stingy regarding her belongings. "Egon, you have to calm down, and prepare yourself. If you think that you are still not ready, you could find me some other time. But if you harbour these fears, you won't be able to connect with the earth. And even I can't help you then."
Listening to her words, he exhaled, and closed his eyes. Locking his fears in the deepest pit of his brain, he prepared himself. His reluctant gaze was now long gone. Evanora could see determination and calmness in his eyes. She knew he was ready...... ready to face whatever was hidden in the folds of time.
With those thoughts, she looked into the crystal ball once again asking Egon,
"Tell me Egon, What do you want to know?" ~DESTINY LAND~
Destiny had been home, and was arranging the used dresses after that tiring competition. While she was tired, Choice was still so energetic that she had been jumping like a monkey in the whole of Castle to show her awards to all the worker and maid fairies. All of them were happy.
She entered her sister's room, only to find a tired and down casted Destiny. Since Choice had been busy in preparing herself for the competition, she didn't witness anything going on in the mortal world, inside that Heavenly book, which the Empress had been reading.
She wasn't aware of Evanora and Egon's meeting. But looking at Destiny, she understood her worries, and came forward. Touching Destiny's hand, she closed her eyes and looked through the recent events of book.
Shooting open her eyes, she only murmured shockingly,
"EVANORA YOUNGBLOOD....!!"
