Blake:

“Wait, wait, wait, you’re telling me, that THIS, is your first date?” I asked wide eyed. Natalia nodded, biting her bottom l*p as she avoided my eyes.

“Yes, I was never one to be interested in going out on dates, or being around guys more than necessary. Plus, there was the fact that I needed to keep a certain ‘image’ of my parents; I couldn’t be as exposed as other girls were” Natalia said honestly “and need I remind you that I as an element manipulator can bring danger to whatever human might approach me; I couldn’t risk that”

I nodded in understanding, taking my wife’s hand in mine making her smile as I intertwined our fingers. The two of us were walking around the city, doing nothing, just walking. We wanted to get out of the house, and a casual dinner date didn’t seem our thing to do; therefore, we settled for something as we walked and us talking.

“What about you?” Natalia asked “where was your first date?”

“It was back at the pack” I admitted “Myla and I just found out that we were mates. The two of us have been friends for so long that we were sometimes mistaken as a couple. We sometimes acted like it too. When I shifted for the first time, I knew that she was mine, and her being my mate, despite not being of age, shifted due to her wolf feeling the mating bond. I didn’t take any further steps though, I wanted her to be sure that she was ready for what was to come and when she was…”

“You completed the mating” Natalia said finishing my sentence. I nodded in response, smiling at the memory.

“She died protecting my pack from my brother despite being pregnant, she couldn’t shift either due to that” I said sadly “he took advantage of that and killed her just as I reached the pack, making me watch as she and my baby died”

Natalia squeezed my hand in assurance and I sighed before shaking my head, snapping myself out of the daze I fell into. I smiled at Natalia whose eyes met mine, her eyes gentle and genuine “you know, you don’t need to hide that pain in you, right? I’m more than willing to listen if you need to rant or let it out”

“I know, beautiful, and I am thankful for that. But tonight, is about you and me, I don’t want to ruin it with bad memories, yeah?” I said gently. Natalia smiled stopping her tracks only to surprise me when she stood on her toes beside me.

“I’ll let it go tonight, but if you ever want to talk to me about it; I’ll always be here to listen” she whispered. My eyes widened when her lips came in contact with my cheek, a blush crept to her own which she tried covering with her hair making me smile. I took her hand, intertwining our fingers once again, before the two of us went back to our walking.

“How about we go watch a movie?” I asked as we passed the cinema. Natalia’s eyes widened in excitement and I chuckled guiding her to the cinema. The two of us walked toward the ticketing booth, choosing the movie that caught her attention.

“Tickets for two, I assume?” The cashier asked, smiling at our sight. I wrapped my arm around Natalia, kissing her temple and she smiled. She put her hand on my chest, and I nodded at the man, paying him before the two of us walked inside the theatre, heading toward the snack area.

“I like this a lot, Blake” Natalia whispered. I looked down at her, wanting to understand what she meant “us being a husband and wife, at least trying to be”

“That’s how we’re going to be from now on, love” I whispered cupping her cheek “I give you my word on that”

Natalia and I walked back to the house, my arm was wrapped around her waist as I opened the door, the girls in the house stared at us, and I smiled and kissed my wife’s temple, gloating about her being mine “baby girl, can you wait for me in the room”

Natalia nodded and walked to the room. Her eyes lighting up as she walked toward the bedroom. I looked at Sasha whose eyes met mine for the first time in days and nodded at her to follow me to the kitchen. I had to speak to the woman, and she needed to lay back from what she was trying to do.

I walked to the kitchen with her following close behind, her eyes meeting mine as I turned to face her. She crossed her arms over her chest, raising an eyebrow at me “missed me already? Tired of playing the perfect husband game?”

“I called you here to tell you to stay away from me, Sasha” I said looking her in the eye “I don’t want you near me, nor do I want you trying to pass by my room. I am married, and I want to spend a happy life with my wife. Is that clear, Sasha?”

“Why, Alpha?” She asked taking a step toward me. She put her hand on my chest, running her finger down my chest as she did “why did you choose her over me? Is there anything that I was lacking…?”

I put my hand over hers, pushing her away. However, Sasha didn’t stop there as she connected her lips with my own, wrapping her arms around my neck. I put my hands on her waist pushing her away from me only to be surprised when I saw Natalia standing by the door. Her heart raced as her hands shook “I just wanted a glass…”

Natalia didn’t complete what she was about say before walking out of the kitchen. She put her hand on her lips, running out of the house, not caring that it was freezing cold outside, nor did she care about getting sick.

“Natalia, stop!” I said wrapping my hand around her arm stopping her. However, that didn’t last for long as my palm burned forcing me to let her go.

“Don’t you dare touch me” she said turning to face me, her eyes glaring daggers at me. I looked down at my feet, avoiding her eyes as I tried shaking the burning feeling in my palm “just when I thought that I could trust you, just when I believed that we could be husband and wife…”

I wrapped my arms around her neck, kissing her before she could say another word. However, my wife had different plans when the ground shook under me and wind pushed me away from her “I did NOT k**s her, Natalia! I called her to the kitchen to tell her to STAY AWAY from you and me, I told her that I wanted to be with you, and that I didn’t want her around me. The woman kissed ME! I never kissed her back, Natalia!”

Natalia’s heart raced as she looked at me, her tears falling from her eyes. I approached her, raising my hands as to ensure that she didn’t do anything crazy or stupid out of defense. I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her tightly as her tears fell from her eyes. She didn’t fight me this time, nor did she react as she tried calming herself. My palm still burning from the heat she reacted with at first.

Natalia’s eyes caught on to that quickly and pulled away from my arms, taking my palm in hers. She put her finger on my palm, cooling the area and healing it. Her eyes met mine, and she nodded taking a step back, wanting to head to the house. But I wasn’t going to let her leave like this, I didn’t want her being upset when I believed that the two of us were barely just making progress.

I wrapped my arms around her from the back, stopping her, laying my chin on her shoulder until she was forced to submit to my touch. I ran my finger over her shoulder “I wouldn’t k**s another woman, Natalia. I gave you a promise earlier, and I am one to keep my promises”
