Arrow Inferno
Chapter 102: Stanley ‘STAN’ Norris vs. Ian ‘WILL’ Williams ~ Mission accomplished!

***

"We got more than we bargained for," the head of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service looked at the Arrowheads with respect and gratitude. "To think you were able to do this in just eleven days." He looked shocked. "Thank you, Mr. President." He addressed the American president whose face was showing on the screen with four others.

"We're glad we could help. Admiral Mathias has the...what's the word you used again?" the president asked with a grin.

"Baddest, Sir." Admiral Mathias, who was also on the zoom call, grinned.

"Yes. The baddest team," The president beamed with pride. "Mind you, we would have been affected as well so we're all grateful to these amazing gentlemen."

"The Australian government can't thank you gentlemen enough," The Australian Prime Minister who was also on the call said. "I'll be seeing you at Kirribilli House this evening."

"Brilliant job, boys," The president said. "Have a safe trip back."

"Thank you, Sir," Ty responded. Immediately the call ended, the Arrowheads relaxed in their seats and turned their attention to the head of the Australian Secret Intelligence Service who sat around the huge oval table with them. "So have you been able to round them up?"

"We've already picked up six persons," he informed them. "I'm still surprised at how those three you caught were willing to tell it all." His surprised gaze was on Will.

"Thought you had to torture them for the truth huh?" George grinned.

"Of course," the man gushed. "I honestly thought they were bullshiting us. Imagine my shock when I realized all they told you was the truth."

"Well, our Will is skilled in interrogation," Jackson said, sounding so proud.

"We really would be grateful if you could train some of our people in the skill of interrogation, Lt. Williams," The head of the ASIS said with hopeful eyes.

"Oh, trust me, no matter how well he teaches your people, they can never be as good." Jackson drawled with a smug glint in his eyes.

"Yeah, we call him our criminal whisperer," Ty chuckled as he shot to his feet. "See you tonight, at the dinner?"

"Definitely, LtCdr. Wesley." The man stood too and shook hands with the Arrowheads. "Thank you once again."

And in the car, on their short drive back to the hotel, Ty turned to Will who was riding shotgun. "Still not seeing how weird all of this is?"

Will signed. "Well, everything happened as I said it did, Ty."

"But the timing, bruh," Jackson chuckled in the backseat. "Ty wasn't far from you at all. He virtually came immediately after he got your signal but the action was already over."

"Cryptanalyst secured, file secured, even the frigging flipchart and pen drives were secured." George, who sat in the back with Jackson couldn't suppress the wonderment in his voice. "Waiting in the jeep which wasn't close to that back entrance at all."

"And as if that wasn't weird enough, three criminals were all out and tied up," Jackson drawled. "Did we miss anything?"

"Nope," George chuckled. "Sounds like a frigging movie."

"A frigging fantasy movie," Ty qualified. "I mean when I got to him, he was standing there all relaxed as if he was getting a massage."

'Tell them you were getting something better than a massage,' Will's wolf chuckled within him, making him smile. His wolf didn't speak to him often. It still amused and thrilled him anytime the beast spoke. 'I admire your self-control by the way. Should have killed the motherfucker.'

'You have a foul mouth, don't you?' Will chuckled and then concentrated on what Ty was saying.

"All jokes aside, you did some amazing job yesterday, Will," Ty said softly. "I just don't know how you managed to pull that off within that short amount of time...and so flawlessly too. Just brilliant." He shook his head in wonder. "But..." Will almost rolled his eyes. He'd been expecting the talk. They had too much to do the day before so Ty hadn't gotten around to saying his piece.

"There's a reason we're a team." Ty went on. "I shudder to think what would have happened if someone had taken you by surprise. We're more than mere colleagues, Will. We are brothers. And I wouldn't want anything to happen to any of you. I'd go insane."

"I understand," Will sighed. "Apologies guys."

"Doesn't get you off the hook, moron," George snorted. "That idiot who got away wouldn't have gotten away if you'd waited for us."

"Know what I still don't get though?" Jackson looked lost in thought. "We all saw that slash on your chest. Your t-shirt was torn. There was blood on it, showing you were cut. But surprisingly, there's no wound."

Will groaned. "That wasn't my blood, Jackson," He lied smoothly. "I told you I wounded him before he escaped."

"How?" Jackson's eyes showed just how badly he was trying to believe his friend. "You are Will. Hell, I sometimes fear you when I see you in action. How could a wounded man have gotten away from you?"

"Has it occurred to you that maybe...just maybe, he was no ordinary person?" Will shot back.

"What do you mean no ordinary..."

"I'm pretty sure he's skilled in warfare...or something."

"Think he's a soldier?" Ty asked with a frown.

"More like a mercenary." Will shrugged even as he ignored his wolf's chants of 'liar, liar pants on fire' inside him. "He was a skilled fighter."

"Definitely a mercenary," Jackson snorted. "Those people usually don't know jack-shit."

"You're right, he didn't," Will chuckled. "I tried to ask him some questions but couldn't get anything out of him." His team didn't need to know that he'd gotten the rogue's name so Will didn't add that information. "Really, I'm sorry about everything, guys. I saw an opportunity and went for it without a thought. It won't happen again."

"Thank God, nothing bad happened." Ty nodded. "I owe you one."

"We all do." Jackson grinned.

"Hell, we'll sponsor your wedding?" George reached out to ruffle Will's hair. "That's if you ever get around to having one." They all burst into laughter.

"It's going to be sooner than you think, asshole." Will said with all seriousness and then laughed when all three colleagues looked at him with curious eyes. "Eyes on the road, Ty." "Anyone I know?" George asked, unable to curb his excitement.

But rather than answer him, Will slouched in his seat and pretended to be sleeping.

"Hey, tell us?" Jackson reached out to shake Will. "Stan?" he sounded so hopeful Will almost laughed.

"Who else?" Will said softly without opening his eyes. "I can't see myself with anyone else." He shrugged. If he felt the shock from his colleagues, he pretended not to.

'How about you tell them we're already...married?' his wolf spat out the word as if it left a bitter taste in his mouth. 'And that our mating trumps their wedding.'

'How about you shut up,' Will chuckled. For a moment, he thought he was alone. "Am I in this car alone?" he murmured.

"We're just shocked, that's all," Ty breathed as he looked at his colleagues in the backseat through his driving mirror. "Dude, are you okay?" he asked Jackson who looked rather emotional.

"I'm fine," Jackson croaked and then cleared his throat. "I'm happy for you." He reached out to touch Will on the shoulder.

"Thanks." Will sat up.

"Are you sure?" Ty asked, still surprised at Will's news.

"Yeah, isn't this a bit too fast?" George quipped.

"I've never been more sure of anything, Ty." Will sighed. "This is it. And George, it doesn't take years..." he gave the word air-quotes, "to know when you meet the one."

"Well, it took me nine fucking years," his tone and the comical expression on his face drove his friends to laughter.

"You're a piece of work, Rowan George," Ty chuckled as he stopped the car in front of their hotel.

"So you're really not fucking any girls here?" George asked.

"Nope." Will's mouth curved in a ghost of a smile laced with undeniable love when his gaze landed on the gorgeous man standing near the revolving doors of the hotel, looking nothing short of edible. The mere sight of the man did crazy things to Will's heart.

He couldn't help the unique rush he felt anytime he looked at his man. A man who was smiling at him with his heart in his eyes that very moment. A man who caused his heart to flutter inside his chest with just a look. A man whom he knew for a fact loved him to death. A man who was his world. A man who could only be seen by him.

"It's just Stan for me," Will added softly as he stepped out of the car, his heated gaze running over Stan. The man managed to look hot in anything he wore. The white shorts and black polo shirt he was wearing at that moment was just... 'You look insanely sexy in that.'

'I know.' Stan's cocky response made Will laugh but of course, his colleagues thought their conversation was the reason for his laughter.

"So all that smutty contented look you've been sporting..." George, who was now out of the car, opened his arms wide...a gesture that showed just how unbelievable he found what Will was saying. "Hell, that meat of yours must be raw from all the beating then," he deadpanned, setting off another round of hysterics.

And as the four men headed for the door with their usual raucous self, Will subtly walked into Stan's arms.

'Let me guess... They think you always look relaxed and satiated because you beat off?' Stan chuckled on their mind-link, a brow shooting up in amusement.

'U-huh. What can I say...ignorance is bliss.' Will laughed, steering Stan towards their wing. 'We have some time to kill before dinner. Let's make the most of it.'

'Great minds...' Stan grinned and then started stripping to his mate's amusement.

Before they even left the foyer and entered the elevator, he was gloriously naked.
