Chapter 105: Stanley ‘STAN’ Norris vs. Ian ‘WILL’ Williams ~ Yours and mine!

Jeremy, Philip, and Paige entered to Sharon's delight. "Oh, I saw you at the funeral." Sharon pointed at Paige. "There's no way I can forget that sexy leather dress. I loved it." "That's Paige the leather," Will crooned, tongue-in-cheek.
"Paige the leather?" Sharon looked at her brother and then back at Paige. "Is that your stage name or something?"
"Take no notice of your silly brother, Sharon," Paige grinned as she went to Sharon's side. "Name's Paige." She leaned in and kissed Sharon on both cheeks. "Congratulations." "Thank you."
"That's Philip. Stan's and my boss and that's Jeremy, his boss." Paige gestured at the men, leaving Sharon confused.
"Boss? But Stan said you're his family..."
"Family business." Paige's smile didn't falter even once. "May I hold little Ava?" she asked as Jeremy and Philip shook Sharon's hand.
"Of course, you may. You know her name already." Sharon looked impressed.
"Stan told us." Sharon sat beside Sharon on the bed and stretched out her hands to take the baby from Will.
Will placed the baby in Paige's arms and then gently adjusted the wrap around her as Philip and Jeremy moved closer to Paige to look at Ava.
"She's so beautiful," Jeremy breathed.
"Thank you." Sharon beamed.
"Aw, she's smiling." Philip smiled.
"Oh, that's just gas," Will muttered and then yelped when Sharon smacked him on the arm. "I have to take this, guys." He drew his phone from his pocket and headed for the door.
The werewolves oohed and aahed over the baby until she began to yawn. "She must be feeling sleepy," Paige whispered, giving the baby to her mother. "We should leave you to relax."
"It was so lovely of you to come and see me," Sharon looked genuinely happy. "Hope to see you again soon."
"Oh, we'll be meeting soon alright. At Will and Stan's party," She told Sharon with a huge grin.
"A party?" Sharon asked as Stan raised a surprised brow.
"When was this party planned?" Stan asked.
"Whilst you were away," Philip groaned. "It's still in the planning stage," he glared at his sister. "And it was meant to be a surprise."
"Oops... it slipped out." Paige shrugged, flashing her brother an insincere apologetic smile.
"Bright side, Stan can give his inputs now that the cat's out of the bag," Jeremy said dryly. "It can still be a surprise for Will."
"That would be even better," Paige rubbed her hands together gleefully as she turned to face Sharon. "Now you're in on this. Don't tell your brother."
"I promise, I won't. Can't wait to see the look on the little twit's face."
"Big sisters are just evil!" Philip shook his head with a sigh, making the two ladies laugh.
"Shit, it will be difficult to keep this from Will," Stan groaned. "We don't lie to each other."
"This is not a lie, Stan," Sharon rolled her eyes. "Just a mere omission."
"Oh, it's going to turn into a lie at some point before the day, trust me," the warrior snorted, the wariness in his eyes clear to the people in the room. "Aw...is someone a teeny weeny bit scared of his mat...boyfriend?" Paige's expression was one of a contented Cheshire Cat.
"Wipe that look off your face Slip, I'm not sca..."
"Hey, if he doesn't scare the hell out of you a little, he isn't the one," Jeremy cut Stan off. "Trust me on that," he chuckled as he leaned down to hug Sharon who couldn't seem to stop smiling at an oblivious Stan. "Take care of this little angel." "I will." She smiled as Philip bent to kiss her on her both cheeks. "When is the party?"
"In three weeks," Paige responded. "I'll be getting in touch for names of people whose presence would let your brother shit his pants in shock," she added.
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." Sharon's grin was downright mischievous."
"Enjoy what?" Will asked as he entered.
"Getting to know Paige more," His sister responded smoothly. "She's promised to come and visit sometime."
"I think you should be worried buddy," Philip said as he gave Will a one-armed hug. "These two together means your downfall."
"I'm so dead," Will groaned as he hugged Jeremy and Paige goodbye.
Stan and Will spent some more time with Sharon after the two alphas and Paige left. They only left when they felt that Sharon needed some rest.
Stan gave her a bear hug. "Take care of you and Ava."
"I will, I promise."
Will buried his face against his sister's neck as he hugged her fiercely. "Don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything." "Thank you."
After kissing both mother and daughter on their foreheads, Will left with his mate.

Lt. Ian Williams stared at the large brown envelope with a frown. It was from the realtors who handled the sale of his mother's house. He thought everything was done and dusted. They'd gotten a very generous offer for the house and had already shared the proceeds equally between himself, Sharon, his nephew Rodney, and Ava who hadn't been born at the time. Even as he wondered what the mail was all about, he grabbed a letter opener to open the envelope. "The fuck!" he gasped when he saw the heading on the document. It was the deed to his mother's house and on it, he was the named owner of the property. "What utter incompetence," Will muttered as he grabbed his phone and began to dial the realtor's number.
"Oh, finally," The realtor gushed when he picked up. "I've been trying to get hold of you, Mr. Williams."
"Hello, Mr. Hayes," Will greeted. "Don't worry, I just received the document and knew right away that it was a mistake. Would you want me to shred it or post it back to you?"
"What? No, no there's no mistake at all," The man chuckled. "That's your copy. It's why I've been trying to reach you."
"I don't understand," Will's eyes showed an amazing degree of genuine confusion.
"The documents were ready two weeks ago," The man explained. "I tried to get in touch but your phone was off. I sent you a scanned copy via mail last week but clearly, you haven't read it."
Will cursed softly under his breath. He'd been back in town for a week but hadn't gotten around to checking his mail. He still didn't know what the man was talking about though.
"Can you just explain what's going on, please? We already have the money for the sale so clearly, this is a mistake. It says I'm the owner of the house."
"That's what I'm trying to explain," The man said calmly. "The man who bought the house registered it in your name."
"What?" Will frowned in confusion. "Who was that?"
"Oh, just a moment please." Will heard the shuffling of sheets. "His name is... Norris. Stanley Norris. Does the name ring a bell?"
"Fuck!" Ring a bell? That name sent fucking jolts throughout his entire body. "That's okay, Mr. Hayes. Thank you."
"I've sent you soft copies of all the documents. Congratulation."
"Thank you." Stan hung up and then flopped into a seat. "What the fuck, Stan," he groaned.
His mind was scrambled that very moment. He couldn't think. After sitting quietly for a moment, Will attempted to dial Stan's number but cut it before it could go through. He felt it would be better to talk to his mate face to face. It was almost six p. m. He knew that Stan would be at PAWZ by then. His mate had slept over the night before. They'd parted ways that morning as Stan had left for the pack house and he'd left for work. Will finally stood up and started to strip out of his uniform as he headed for the bathroom. He hoped he would be calm enough to question his mate with some composure by the time he got to the club.
