Chapter 73: Stanley ‘STAN’ Norris vs. Ian ‘WILL’ Williams ~ Meeting Sylver!
***
Will stretched and yawned as he opened his eyes. For a moment he wondered where he was. A raspy laugh escaped him when he remembered. He was in Stan's suite at the pack house. The night before had been intense. Damn, the werewolves could party, he thought as he turned to look on Stan's side of the bed. Stan wasn't in the bed beside him. And from the quietness of the suite, it was obvious that his mate wasn't in the suite.
Will sat up and looked at the bedside clock. It was a little past eleven a. m. He wasn't surprised he'd slept for that long. They'd gotten back from Pawz around four a. m. He'd just flopped into bed without stripping and gone to sleep. Obviously, Stan had stripped him. After all the dancing, eating, and drinking they'd done at Pawz, he wasn't surprised he'd been that bushed. It had been fun. Even Ryan, who according to the others was very reserved and hardly joined them on their escapades, seemed to be in high spirits. He'd danced, had tequila shots, and even sang at the karaoke section to the delight of the others.
"I'm just so happy that Stan has found his mate." Ryan had beamed when Amber had expressed shock. "And I'm even more thrilled that he's so smitten with him." That had cracked everyone up and made Stan groan.
A lady doctor called Camille who was the only child of Deloris had also joined them at Pawz. She was a fun-loving person who Will had enjoyed dancing with. It had indeed been great to hang out with the pack. Will got off the bed and went to draw the blinds. Then he checked his phone for messages. Of course, he read Stan's first. And he couldn't stifle his laughter when he saw a picture of his sleeping face. Stan:
Hey sleepyhead,
See those succulent lips?
I'm so tempted to kiss the hell out of them but I don't wanna disturb your sleep.
Gotta go see to a problem.
Will be back hopefully soon.
Let me know when you're ready for breakfast/lunch.
Missing you already.
Will was grinning like a simpleton by the time he was done reading Stan's messages. He sat on the bed and began to type.
Will:
Is it all werewolves who are creepy or just you?
Can't believe you took a picture.
You should have sent yours too.
I miss you more
Just woke up.
Is it the rogue problem or something else?
Will's breath hitched in his throat and his fingers paused when a picture of Stan popped up. His shirtless, sexy, toned body was covered in a thin sheen of perspiration. That body was nothing short of a work of art, Will thought as he took in the enticingly wicked glint in Stan's eyes. And that smile... Will never thought he'd be able to understand what sexy was when it came to a guy until he met Stan. Hell, he had never dreamt it was even possible to feel the kind of emotion he was feeling that very moment for another man.
Stan:
Finally, he's up.
Did you sleep well?
Will:
I did.
Stan:
Good. And yes, it's the rogue problem. Still on it.
Should I ask them to bring your food now?
Will:
Last thing on my mind right now is food.
Stan:
What's on your mind?
Will:
I kinda wish you were here right now, touching me inappropriately.
Stan called.
"That got me instantly hard." The werewolf said without preamble. "Now it will be damn difficult to concentrate on what I'm doing."
"Sue me," Will murmured. "I have all these sexy thoughts flying around my head. Thoughts about me doing naughty things to you." "You have a very dirty mind... I love it."
"Well, you're my favourite dirty thought," Will chuckled. "And I'm currently sexually destroying you in my head."
Stan laughed. "Scratch what I said earlier, your mind needs to be cleaned out."
"A dirty mind cannot be cleaned out. It can only be exploited." Will scoffed. "I'm going to ravage you the second you walk through the door." "Tell me...if I were there right now, where would you want me to touch you?" Stan gave Pete the finger when he raised an amused brow.
"How about you come here and find out" Will started for the bathroom. "Going to take a shower."
"Tempting." Stan groaned. "But I have to see to this shit. I'll ask someone to bring lunch."
"Thanks. I can't believe I haven't worked out in two days." Will grumbled as he turned on the shower.
"What do you call all that dancing last night?"
"Just that. Dancing!"
"Well, I've been told passionate kissing burns up to seventy calories per hour. Going by that, we did a lot of workouts from last night up until dawn." Stan drawled, eliciting laughter from Will. "Get off the damn phone."
"Later."
**
As Will showered, he heard a door close inside the suite. For a moment, he wondered whether Stan had come after all. But that wasn't the case, unfortunately. A voice called out to say that his food had been set up on the dining table. Will shouted his thanks and then concentrated on his shower. Minutes later, he stepped into the bedroom with a towel wrapped around him and froze when he saw he had a guest. A guest who seemed to be patiently waiting for him. "Hey," Stan couldn't help his amused smile. Those eyes, the hair, and that sweet but mysterious smile... Will remembered seeing that face on his mate's phone. "Sylver right?"
The little boy of about six nodded. "Stan said he would bring me to meet you when he's done dealing with the rogues. But I couldn't wait for him to finish." He jumped onto the bed and fixed intent green eyes on Will. "You're Will." It wasn't a question.
"Yes." Will chuckled as he started for the closet. "Good you didn't wait for Stan. I'm so bored."
"Want to go see the rogues?" he asked eagerly.
"Not today."
"Afraid?"
Will laughed. "Aren't they supposed to be dangerous?"
"Oh, they're just lonely wolves who love to destroy." Sylver rolled his eyes which made Will laugh. "We just have to subdue them and show them some kindness."
"Really?" As Will watched the little boy nod vigorously, he couldn't help but think he seemed wiser beyond his age. "Well, there's nothing to be afraid of then."
"Because you have a gun?" he asked curiously, making Will laugh harder. "You can subdue them with a gun. You do own a gun, don't you?" His intent gaze dared Will to lie. "Every soldier has a gun."
"I do own a gun but I don't have it on me now." Will grinned. "But I'm sure you can protect me should any rogue charge in here." It was an innocent statement meant to make the kid feel important.
"They wouldn't dare come here." Sylver declared. "But I will protect you if they do." He said with such confidence Will's eyes went wide. "I protect all my friends." He looked so serious.
"That's good to know." Will came out of the closet, casually dressed in black jeans and a navy blue t-shirt. "Does that mean I'm your friend then?" he asked as he went to the bathroom to hang his towel. "Because I need your protection too." The soldier sounded amused.
"Yes, we can be friends. Will you teach me how to shoot a gun?" Sylver sounded so hopeful.
"I will when your father says it's okay to." Will sat beside the little boy on the bed. "Probably when you're eighteen."
"Alright." He grinned. "I will keep doing what I've been doing till then."
