Auctioned Mates Revenge -
Chapter 71
Justin's POV
I adjusted my tie in the mirror and got out of my car, ready for a hell of a busy night as I walked to the private elevator and took it to the ground floor. I didn't like to come to Sinner's Haven like this usually, but considering how much Wade had been bothering me and those Skyfall assholes were pressuring me, I deserved a bit of indulgence tonight.
The sounds of drinks being served and the scent of s*x didn't greet me as I walked onto the main floor. I walked faster, a little concerned as a scantily clad woman walked past.
The show floor where people usually came to take pleasure in whatever woman was up to be on display was empty. The woman for the night was still bound up on the show floor, but she didn't look like she'd been touched at all. A few men were sitting around on the lounge floor with their hands on various women, but there wasn't enough.
I didn't count more than ten customers.
What the hell was going on?
I crossed the floor to the bartender who was cleaning a glass and looking nervous.
"What is going on?"
He winced, "Club Heaven had its opening night tonight."
That didn't explain it. Nothing would explain this slow of a night. I pulled out my phone and went searching for some sort of information about the opening night.
I found the website and grit my teeth as the landing page displayed a live feed from within the club. The place looked packed. The camera panned past Matt every once in a while, who sipped from his tumbler under the strobing lights.
The music pulsed a steady driving beat that the bartender rocked his head to and I sneered at the screen, before exiting out of the page and searching further. People were taking live videos inside the club. I clicked on one, hoping to find something that I could nail Matt with later.
There was giggling as the person holding the camera descended a set of stairs. A couple stumbled past, the man was carrying the woman in his arms and there were bruises around her wrists as she curled into her partner's arms, but they didn't get a shot of either of their faces.
At the bottom of the steps was a woman dressed in all black and wearing a masquerade mask.
"There is no video equipment allowed beyond this point," she said. "Are you here to rent a room?"
"What sort of room?"
"That depends on your tastes. If you have an interest in something you can take a look, but video recording is prohibited."
The video shut off then. I went to the next video I could find. It seemed to be inside of a lounge. People were dancing and looking out on the dancefloor. A couple was making out on the couch as a cheer went through the crowd below. A bikini-clad woman appeared inside of one of the strange-looking cages. The lights flashed. The camera zoomed in to show the spray of water that was dousing her as she danced. A group of men was staring at her from the VIP booth nearby.
A few tables down, a mostly naked man was serving a group of women vodka poured down his chest. They looked delighted, taking the body shot and licking the salt off his body.
What the hell had Matt done?
To hell with it, I left Sinner's Haven and got into my car to drive over to Club Heaven.
There was a line down the street outside of people trying to get into the building. I parked on the street and got out as a woman in black came out, dressed more like a bartender than an official host. She spoke to the bouncer who started letting people in mass. I followed the crowd towards the sound of the thumping music.
As I entered, I was enveloped in the scent of scented smoke, alcohol, sweat, and just the slightest bit of s*x.
Faces I recognized from Club Heaven drifted around carrying trays of drinks. While they were dressed scantily, they all wore little aprons that read STAFF in big, bold white letters around their waists. The women wore hot shorts, fishnets, and halter tops. Behind the bar were several men and women chatting with the people leaning over the bar and flirting.
"Justin!" Someone called. I turned. I didn't recognize him immediately, but I smiled at him. "Came to see what all the fuss was about, huh?"
"Something like that."
"Come on up to the VIP rooms. The bar down here is good, but crowded," he glanced at the bartenders, "Though they're pretty quick on the service."
I bet. There were so many bartenders, each with their own stations, it was unlikely anyone went unserved for long.
I followed the man up a set of stairs that hadn't been in the original Club Heaven. The VIP room led to the door of a private room that overlooked the dance floor below and was attached to the second floor's dancefloor.
The room was cast in electric green. There were women in tight, dresses dancing in the middle of the room like something out of a music video. The men who were nearby seemed overjoyed at the attention one of them was paying him.
The room had a private bartender who smiled and nodded to the beat of the music. I went to the bartender and asked for a whiskey, recognizing the bottle immediately.
How the f**k did Matt get a deal with Blue Ice Whiskey so quickly? That Wallber name probably opened a lot of doors.
I recognized a few of the women in the room who seemed to be in charge of keeping the party going no matter how lame the people hosting the party were.
A nervous-looking man was getting a lap dance in the corner. He had a dazed look in his eyes.
"You smoke?" The man asked, "I asked for the Blooming Vibes package too."
I grit my teeth and nodded, "Red Haze if you have it."
He scoffed, "For you? Of course. Pipe or paper?"
He laughed and the bartender pulled out a pipe, a set of papers, and a jar of red Haze.
"Paper."
The man filled the paper and rolled it with an expert touch before offering it to me. I took it, skeptical as I lit it. The drag was as smooth as I remembered. That bastard, Matt, really had Red Haze. I could only guess that he's the reason I couldn't get a hold of anything at auction. The sanctions against Blooming Vibes had backfired if Matt was buying directly from them.
I took another drag and had to consider the setup.
"I was a bit skeptical when I found out that it's not a brothel anymore, but hell, I could pay for p***y anywhere. Midnight's never had a club like this."
No. It hadn't. I glanced at the others around the room pissed about how excited they seemed.
"None of them are prostitutes?"
"Party starters," he said. "Nothing in the rules that said we couldn't indulge, but nothing about an official exchange of money."
I scoffed, "Too much choice if you ask me. You can't turn whores into go-go dancers."
He laughed, "You could fool me."
I turned at the cry of excitement as I turned and saw a cage nearby. It wasn't the same woman as before. It was Cindy of all people. My eyes widened as she twirled around the pole inside the cage and seemed to be feeding on the energy of the crowd in a way I hadn't ever expected of her from the way Felix hid her away.
The VIP booths near her cage seemed enthralled by her performance, and among them was Matt, watching her. The other woman he had been seen with wasn't around, but I could only bet that she was somewhere nearby.
A familiar head of magenta hair walked towards his booth and crawled onto the cushions beside him to watch Cindy. They exchanged a few words as I left the VIP room to walk onto the platform above the crowd and get a close look.
I watched a guy get picked up and carried through the crowd with little preamble away from a woman on the dance floor, but the party didn't stop.
It seemed like the people of Midnight were enthralled by Matt's little club.
He looked up at me and our gazes met. I set my jaw as he lifted his drink to me in salute.
I glared at him.
"You and Matt are cool?"
"No." I turned from the bar, finishing the cigarette and my whiskey before heading down the stairs.
I had seen enough and I was pissed. I walked towards the exit before I stopped. My attention was drawn by the faint red light coming from a descending staircase. It looked to be where the women in the video had been heading. I'd have to figure out that later when I could send someone covertly. For now, I had to leave and figure out what to tell Wade when he called again.
