Avenging The Triplet Alphas -
Epilogue
Arielle’s POV
A week had passed since I started sleeping in the same room with them and I didn’t mind any of it. I decided to give them a second chance a few days back and it's been nothing short of perfect for every one of us involved. It was worth giving it another shot because of our baby, Ethan. I grew up in a broken home and I would hate for the same thing to happen to him which was why we were all working together to rebuild the bridges that have been burnt during our year-long absence away from each other.
The process was painful and difficult but we were learning to navigate through the hurdles together which made it a whole lot easier for all of us.
After months of hesitancy, I eventually introduced them to their son and I was shocked at how fast he warmed up to them. I had been expecting the first few days to be filled with cries of being in the arms of strangers but Ethan was all smiles and laughter whenever he was with his father and as time passed, he found it difficult to spend time away from them and I'd be lying if I said it didn't get jealous of how fast their relationship was growing but beneath the surface, I was glad that Ethan was going to grow up loved by all four of his parents and that was what we all wanted.
Ethan wasn't the only one warming up to the new Alphas, I also found myself falling in love with them. It felt new and refreshing, there wasn't anything stopping us or some skeletons in our closets that we hadn't addressed. It was just me and them loving each other for the second time. I wasn't much of a believer in second chances but my expectations for this had gone through the roof. Our union was welcomed by everyone in the pack, The pack had also learned to accept the Van Tyson brothers as their new Alphas, and under their rule, the pack had grown from strength to strength, faster than one thought possible and they weren't so far behind from what they used to be previously.
The brothers aimed to surpass the legacy their father had set and I believed in them completely. If they had done all of these within a few weeks, I couldn't wait to see what they would do be fore the year ran out.
In some ways, I felt my parents would be proud of the way my life eventually turned out. I made something out of nothing and not just that I have a child and husband to call my own. It was close to perfection and I was content with the way everything I ever wanted came to fruition despite the odds stacked up against me right from the start.
Two weeks later
We were seated in the newly renovated grand ballroom in the mansion. The brothers had decided to publicly announce me as their Luna after we had a private crowning ceremony. The first one had been botched by me and we didn't see the need for it to be made public again, it would be better done behind closed doors this time around. Only family and close friends were invited and I'd be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear when we read our vows to each other. The space I've always carried everywhere was now filled making me feel like a new person. If could relive this moment, I'd do it over and over again.
The banquet was nothing short of amazing, the Van Tyson brothers had gone out of their way to make sure that this would be an event that would be talked about for years, Never had I seen anything this spectacular.
From the floral arrangements to the interior decorations, the dignitaries invited and the performers all added extra touches to the atmosphere as well.
Today was easily one of the happiest days of my life. Ethan was looked after by Jana, so I had the liberty to enjoy myself to the fullest.
“Can I have your attention?” Loki announced as he clinked the side of his glass with a butter knife.
The murmuring in the room subsided immediately as everyone heard him speak.
“First of all, I'd like to thank every one of you for coming here today. The fact that you saw it fit to honor my invitation is something I cherish and I'm not alone in this, I'm certain my brothers, Jonathan and Elijah, and our Luna, Arielle all appreciate you all for taking your time to be here as well”
“We all know why we're here today, we're here today to celebrate an amazing and strong woman who's been through so much hell in the past year. Some of you might know this, while some might have forgotten but we once took her love for granted at a certain point. It was a mistake we paid dearly for and it nearly cost us her life and that of our son, Ethan."
I could feel the tears brimming and threatening to fall. Loki never told me he had a speech prepared for me, I figured this was the surprise he said he had for me.
“But as the moon goddess would have it, we went through hell to get her back and it was worth every moment of it. The Van Tyson pack wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for Arielle Van Tyson. So this banquet isn't just to celebrate her as our Luna, it's also to appreciate the great work she’s put in and how well she’s pushed us. We did a number on her and my brother and I intend to spend the rest of our lives making amends for every wrong decision we've ever made that affected her in any way. So, I want to end this speech by making a toast to the best Luna we could ever have asked for”
I stood up with everyone else in the room.
“A toast to Arielle Van Tyson, the Luna of the Van Tyson pack. Thank you for everything!"
