Awakened Love With Triplets Alphas -
Chapter 77
THIRD PERSON'S POV
Kale was stunned when he raised his hands to wipe his cheeks and found out that his cheeks were wet. He, then looked at the middle-aged man with an embarrassed expression as if he was embarrassed that he cried. A man like him just cried after he killed Of course, how could the middle-aged man not see the reason why Kale cried? He raised his hands and patted Kale's shoulder as he comforted him.
someone.
"It will be alright, young man. Stop trembling. You just wanted to defend me and yourself that's why you were able to do that. If it wasn't for you, probably before the police officer could find us, we would be rotten in the flesh if you didn't fight back with the witch." The middle age man awkwardly tried to comfort Kale whose body was trembling and tears fluttered in his eyes.
Even though he was trembling and trying to stop his tears from falling from his eyes, he was still acting like he was calm and those events didn't matter to him. It was just that his body was more honest than his thoughts and actions.
Kale cleared his throat as he hastily wiped the tears from his cheeks and tried to clear his mind, and kept on chanting that he will be fine.
After he was done brainwashing himself, his hand continued to treat the middle age man's bruised face that he received after the fierce beating of those witches.
"Did you see someone else along with those three witches? I mean, are they only three-or should I say four, plus the one whom I killed?" Kale softly asked while tending and he was trying to squeeze out some information from the middle age man. The middle age man was silent and he was thinking hard, trying to remember if there were four witches or so...
But then his eyes brightened and looked at Kale who was acting like he was fine after killing the witch. He excitedly answered Kale's question.
"There were exactly sixteen or eighteen witches inside of this forest. My mind unconsciously counted them when I saw them then those three witches excused themselves towards their fellow witches and brought me along with them then I never thought that the reason why they did so, was to torture me and to make me submit to them." The middle age man hatefully answered as his eyes were filled with anger and grievances.
However, Kale wasn't focused on the sixteen or eighteen witches that maybe are here but rather his attention was caught by the so-called 'submit'.
He raised his head and looked at the middle age man with pure curiosity flashed in his eyes as he asked, "What do you exactly mean by what you said about making you submit to them?"
Hearing that Kale asked him that question, the middle age man hesitated at first but after seeing that this young man saved him despite his frail-looking body and despite that he would tremble in fear if he killed someone, his hesitation turned into pity as he looked at Kale.
Then he said in a lower tone as if he was vigilant and afraid that those witches would hear him. "A-Actually, although I had just been here for half of the day, I had heard and seen a lot. I may not look like it but in fact, I'm a mathematician. I am a math prof and my analyzing skills were top-notch. I could think critically, especially in critical moments. That's why I was able to gather this evidence stating that the reason why they beat and tortured us-and for sure that they also did those to my fellow victims too, was to make us weak and to make us fall in despair where no one could be our hope, where no one could be able to save us."
"But why is that so? Why did they do that to us? I finally realized right after I was beaten too plus I also heard them talking about it. It was all because they wanted us to submit to them. They said that it would be easier to make a puppet or to control us-to make us submit to them if we had already abandoned the so-called hope. It would be much easier to control us and to make us their little marionette if we have fallen in despair. That's why torturing us would be a lot easier to make us submit to them whole heatedly." After the middle-aged man spoke with a hoarse voice, he cleared his throat and felt like it was dry so Kale immediately handed him a bottle of water that he saved for himself earlier but since the middle age man had provided him with a lot of information plus he was also thirsty, he decided to give it to him.
The middle age man didn't continue being polite with him and accepted the bottle of water since he was already thirsty earlier and drank it.
However, Kale's attention was on the words that the middle age man had said. His brows couldn't help but furrowed as his face had a disgusted expression plastered on his face.
"It's really cruel." Kale couldn't help but murmur.
The middle age man who heard his words, hummed and nodded his head.
"That's right! It was fortunate that I didn't easily submit myself to despair and abandoned hope especially since I just became a master level one, so how could I easily let myself fall in despair when I worked so hard and sacrificed my sleep to become a mathematic teacher? There's no way that I would succumb to despair!" The middle-aged man exclaimed with a grievance.
Meanwhile, on the other side where Drake had already finished fighting against twelve werewolves who were under the control of the witch leader and everything in his surroundings had already turned bloody red along with the body of those werewolves whom he had left with no choice but to kill them, especially that if Drake won't kill them, they would kill him instead.
Drake looked at the werewolves whose eyes were closed and they were bathing in their blood with a bit of pity.
A pity that these werewolves were clearly strong and he was even thinking of hiring them to teach for his packs, but who would have thought that he would end up killing them because he felt with no option but to do so? Plus, they were also being controlled by the witch leader then which must have meant that this werewolf's vigilance was low so he immediately changed his mind.
After he had already killed those werewolves and even tortured them to get the information that he wants but when he thought that they were being controlled by the witch leader which leads him to disappointment.
He turned around and left that place without a hint of nostalgia to find his beloved.
He was worried that something might have happened to his beloved Yunifer, especially the woman who had also high pride and won't ask for help except if she can't already handle her opponent. If she would ask for someone's help, then that means that she had already fought with her opponent and that they were stronger than her, that's time would call for help.
Drake let out a heavy sigh as he rushed his way inside the forest trying to find the figure of her beloved, only to meet Havoc who was also on his m way to find Kale.Kale.
Drake glanced at Havoc whose body was covered with blood. Some of them were his and some of them were from the witches that he probably killed.
There were even some obvious wounds on his body but Havoc acted like there were no wounds. Plus it's already starting to heal so he didn't care much about it.
"Any information about where they hide the victims?" Drake straightforwardly asked while looking at him.
Havoc also glanced at Drake who only had stains on his clothes but there were no wounds.
"Yeah, I managed to let them spit out some of the information that they had related to the victims. They said that the victims were on the left side of the forest near the lake." Havoc calmly said.
Hearing that, Drake was relieved that they finally got the lead, the only problem was that...
Drake looked at Havoc again and asked, "Have you seen Yunifer?"
Havoc shook his head but then he remembered that he saw a glimpse of the figure when he was on the way of fighting against those three witches so he decided to tell him. "Well, she was on that way... if I'm not mistaken," Havoc said while pointing to the right corner of the dark forest.
Drake nodded and pointed to the left side. "I saw Kale together with a man on that way."
When Drake mentioned that Kale was together with a man, Havoc's eyes narrowed, and bid his farewell to Drake before going to the left side of the forest without hesitation.
Drake didn't have much time to tease him that much and directly went towards the right side where Havoc had pointed earlier where possibly Yunifer was there.
When Drake arrived at the certain place after going circles inside of the right corner of the forest, his eyes squinted when he saw Yunifer who was leaning on the tree while sitting on the ground, huffing and there were traces of sweat-soaked in her shirt plus those visible blood stain.
Drake's eyes narrowed when he saw the tiredness on his beloved's face and she even closed her eyes as if she wanted to take a rest despite that she was catching her breath.
When she felt someone's presence step into her place, her eyes immediately opened and her body which was relaxed earlier raised its guard.
"It's me."
When she heard such a familiar voice and familiar presence walking towards her, that was the time that she lowered her vigilance and meet his eyes.
"Drake, you're back. You're not wounded, are you?" Yunifer asked with a smile hanging on her lips, as her eyes were filled with worries upon looking at Drake as if she was inspecting if he got injured or not.
Drake was warmed upon meeting her smile but suddenly, his smile disappeared when he saw a large wound on Yunifer's hand that was splurting with her blood and it was slowly healing.
"Who did this to you?!" His eyes darkened as he bend his left leg on the ground while gently looking at Yunifer's arms.
If looks could kill-no, he would kill someone right now.
