Go Ahead And Full The Trigger, 1 Dam You
Go Ahead And Pull The Trigger, I Dare You
Austyn was his son.
But A
He would let it go, just this once.
Henry composed himself.
"What did Liam do this time?
Austyn wouldn't have come to Cedarwood just to talk to his old man.
'I give you two options, Austyn said coldly. 'One, send him abroad. You pick the country. I don't care where he ends up as long as he never sets foot in Stamford again.
Austyn drew himself up to his full height. "Two, kill him. Either do it yourself. Or if you don't have the guts, I'll do it you.'
Henry flung the teacup at his son.
Austyn sidestepped and dodged it.
The cup crashed into the wall behind him before falling to the ground, smashed to pieces.
Henry's face turned livid.
The veins stood out on his neck.
"You're insane!!
"It's a limited-time offer.' Austyn was unfazed. 'If you can't make up your mind before I leave this room, I'm going to choose for you."
'He's your brother!' Henry pointed a finger at Austyn. 'How can you turn against your own family?'
'Yeah, my dear brother, how can you?!
Liam's languid voice came from the doorway.
Henry glared at him. 'What are you doing here? Get out!
Liam leaned against the door jamb. 'I heard shouting, so I came to have a look. Didn't expect to run into my big brother, who hasn't set foot inside the house for, what, five, six years?' Liam flashed an insouciant smile at Austyn. 'Welcome home, Brother.'
He strode into the study.
Henry slammed a palm on the desk. 'Get out!'
Liam ignored his father.
His attention was on Austyn. 'Brother, you've come here by yourself? That means your lovely young wife must be at home, feeling quite lonely. I could-
Austyn grabbed Liam's shirt, pulled him in and delivered a vicious punch to his nose.
Liam's face was instantly bloodied.
He clenched his fist and was about to jab Austyn in the gut.
Click.
The sound of a hammer snicking into position was unmistakable.
Austyn held a gun to Liam's head, its muzzle less than an inch from his right temple.
Go Ahead And Pull The Trigon I Dare You
Austyn was no longer the young boy under his thumb.
He had spread his wings and taken flight.
Henry gripped the handle of the walking stick.
'He has three days,' Austyn spat out the words, facing his father. 'If I see his face in Stamford on day four, I'll assume you have chosen option two for him. Austyn brushed past the two guards, who looked away.
'Three days, I mean it.
He left the study.
Henry raised the stick.
This time, the blows were directed at his second son.
The fifty-year-old, though past his prime, still retained some of the strength from his younger, head-bashing days.
At the fifth strike, the brass stick snapped.
Liam just stood there and bore the blows with a stony face.
Henry hurled the broken stick aside and pointed a shaking finger at his second son.
"Why did you have to go and provoke your brother? You mentioned his wife on purpose, didn't you?"
Liam's forehead was covered with beads of sweat.
His nose was bloodied.
He ignored the pain from his arm and flashed his father a lopsided grin.
'Kira and I are on friendly terms. What's wrong with asking after my friend?
Henry's chest heaved.
He glowered at Liam, infuriated by his flippancy.
'Kira? How do you know her name? You've met her?"
Austyn wouldn't have pulled a gun on Liam just because the latter asked about his wife.
'Oh, we did more than just meet. Liam smirked. 'A fortunate stroke of serendipity brought us together.'
"What did you do to his wife?"
Liam shrugged. 'Nothing."
Then he added, "Yet."
He wiped a drip of blood from his nose with his fingertip. 'I like her. She's cute. If she leaves Austyn-which is bound
to happen sooner or later, given my brother's inability to hold on to a woman-I might consider taking her off his hands. What do you think?"
Henry wanted to strangle his impudent, brazen-faced son.
Leave, Or I'll Make You
Henry pointed to the door.
'Leave Stamford tonight. Get out of the country. You heard your brother.
Liam crossed his arms over his chest, chin raised. "What if I say
no?
"Then I'll make you go away, using whatever means necessary. Don't try my patience.'
A sardonic smile spread slowly across Liam's face.
The wounds on his arm were smarting.
He took no notice of the pain.
'Just like you made my mother go away? You didn't want to be labelled a cheating bastard, so you got rid of the evidence by getting rid of my mother. You forced her to leave. What means did you use back then, hmm? Did you threaten her like you're threatening me right now?" Henry froze at the mention of Liam's mother.
"Mom died a horrible death.' Liam gave his father a frosty, hate-filled look. 'I'm not leaving Stamford till I found out who killed her.'
Liam turned on his heel and walked away.
Henry slumped down on his recliner, thoroughly drained.
Short strands of grey hair glinted under light from the chandelier.
The fifty-year-old patriarch seemed to have aged a decade in the last fifteen minutes.
The Hummer pulled up on the circular driveway outside the villa.
'Boss, we're here,' Kai said.
Austyn opened his eyes.
He knitted his brows when he glanced out the window. 'Didn't I ask you to go to Duxton Hotel? Why'd you drive here?"
Kai forced out a smile. 'Boss, this is your house. East and West, home is the best. A hotel can't beat the comfort of
He swallowed the rest of his words at the cold glare from Austyn.
'Sorry, Boss. My mistake, Boss. I'll turn around right now, Boss."
'Forget it.' Austyn pushed the door open. 'You should head back to the office. I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off. Don't call me unless it's something urgent." "Yes, Boss."
The TV was on in the living room.
Austyn changed his shoes and went inside.
Elsie looked up, surprised. 'Young Master!"
She didn't expect he would be back at noon.
Austyn's eyes flicked to the figure curled up on the sofa in front of the TV.
He lowered his voice. "Elsie.'
The housekeeper followed his line of sight. 'Young Madam has been waiting for you the entire morning. She probably
