Bedmates Soulmates -
CHAPTER 200
Make-up Sex
He drew back, the tips of their noses almost touching.
'Don't curse yourself like that ever again. You hear me?'
Kira was feeling light-headed. 'Okay.'
It wasn't a curse; it was an oath.
But this was not the time to quibble over semantics.
Austyn pulled her in and continued the kiss.
Young Madam, dinner's ready!' Elsie came out from the kitchen. 'Is Young Master back yet?' 'Oh!' the housekeeper stopped short when she saw the two figures on the staircase, lips locked. She retreated immediately. 'Sorry. I didn't see anything. Carry on." Austyn chuckled when he saw Kira blushing.
He led her by the hand and went upstairs.
Dinner could wait.
Kira felt the warmth of his hand.
He had calluses on his thumb and ring finger.
When he raised a hand to twist the doorknob, she glimpsed the Timex watch on his left wrist.
Kira didn't know what to think.
The man was being so gentle right now.
But she had seen the rougher side of him.
Elsie's words this morning helped her put things into perspective.
Deborah was his fiancée but cheated on him with Liam, his half-brother.
It was a double betrayal.
No man could get over something like that with ease, including Austyn.
Kira was his wife now, but she spent time with Liam, the man who snatched away his first love.
How could Austyn not be mad?
Kira could relate, given what she'd been through with Gideon and Georgina.
She sympathised with Austyn.
But it didn't mean she wanted to have sex with him.
Kira came to her senses and struggled when she realised Austyn had laid her down in bed, his face hovering above hers.
It brought back the trauma two nights ago.
"Stop!" she shoved against his shoulder.
Austyn drew back.
His eyes were filled with lust.
His suit jacket was tossed aside, his tie loosened.
'What's wrong?" he asked in a voice that had gone husky. 'Are you going back on your word? You said you wanted to
make it up to me.'
'With food! Not with...with sex. Kira felt his hot breath on her cheeks and pushed him further away.
'No thank you,' he scoffed. 'I don't want to end up in the hospital with food poisoning."
Kira huffed. 'But I remember a certain someone licking the plate clean when I cooked the other day.' Austyn pinched her chin. 'Are you calling me a dog?
He tugged her collar aside and bit her on the shoulder.
'Hey! Stop that!' Kira winced at the nipping pain.
"If you don't want to be called a dog, stop biting people!' she thought.
Austyn stopped biting.
He licked the spot on her shoulder before planting kisses on her neck and her clavicles.
His fingers moved deftly, unbuttoning her white cotton blouse.
His light kisses felt ticklish and brought goosebumps to Kira's skin.
She almost moaned.
When she felt a chill and looked down, Kira saw the man had undone all the buttons on her blouse.
His hand was on her bra.
'Stop!'
Austyn couldn't be stopped if a meteor hit him.
His other hand was on her belly.
Kira squirmed and twisted her body to no avail.
She groped blindly, found his arm and gave it a sharp pinch.
But
the man had muscles like rocks.
Kira only ended up hurting her fingers.
Austyn chuckled, held her hand in his and kissed her fingers.
Kira was stunned.
The man had never shown this much affection in bed.
He almost always went straight to the point.
She was thrown by this out-of-character behaviour and a little confused.
Just when she thought she'd seen through his haughty, bespoke-sult-clad exterior to the ferocious, even violent man within, she discovered yet another layer to the man.
Kira didn't want to call herself weak-willed, but she was starting to find that she was having second thoughts about the divorce.
"No, don't go down that path. Kira thought.
She closed her eyes and steeled herself.
The divorce had to happen.
It was inevitable.
A loveless marriage was a house of cards.
It could collapse with the slightest change in either of the couple's circumstances.
'Ow!' Kira opened her eyes.
Austyn bit her index finger.
"What did you do that for?"
"What are you thinking so hard about?' Austyn interlaced her fingers with his. 'Must be something important to be distracted during a make-out."
Kira held back a remark about the man's canine tendencies. 'I'm thinking about you.'
The answer pleased him, obviously.
The corners of his mouth were upturned.
'Does it still hurt?'
"What?"
"Your arm. I was too rough on you the other night. Does it still hurt?"
Kira lifted her right shoulder, then let it fall back. 'No.'
Sorry, I was a bastard."
Kira snorted. "That's a mild word for what you did.'
Austyn furrowed his brows.
for you
"What?" Kira matched his frown with one of her own. 'Did I say something wrong? What you did was tantamount to marital rape. The word "bastard" doesn't even begin to describe what you did." Austyn stared at her.
After a long while, he said, "You're right. I was wrong. I'm sorry,"
It must be hard for a proud man like him to admit he was wrong.
Kira wasn't completely appeased yet, but she decided to quit while she was ahead.
'Jesse said if your arm still hurts after a couple of days, you should see a doctor. Do you want me to drive you to the hospital?'
Kira rotated her right arm. 'No, it doesn't hurt anymore.'
The bruise was still there, but the pain had gone away. "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure.' Kira rolled her eyes.
The man was either overly cavalier or overly solicitous,
He really needed to work on his interpersonal skills.
Kira wondered if she should get him the book 'Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus' for his birthday.
Then she suddenly realised that she had no idea when his birthday was.
'If your arm doesn't hurt anymore,' Austyn leaned in, 'Shall we continue?"
