"You're nothing but a toy." Kayleigh's eyes glinted with malicious glee. "A plaything for Austyn. Once he gets bored of you, he'll dump you in the blink of an eye. He threw a confused glance at the woman running towards him. "What the hell? There's two of them?

'Doesn't matter. I'll just grab them. Sean tilted his chin towards the newcomer. 'Get her."

Gwen pulled up short at the sight of two men barrelling towards her.

She'd jumped out when she saw Kira getting attacked, thinking she could scare off the man.

But there were three of them!

Gwen spun around and ran,

'Get her!' Sean barked.

Help! Gwen shouted at the top of her lungs.

The passageway led to a dtchen.

There must be people in there who could hear her.

But before help arrived, Gwen was knocked out by a heary blow to the back of her head.

She collapsed to the floor.

Gideon was in the midst of a conversation with the councillor when Martin jogged over with an anxious look on his face.

He dragged Martin to the side and whisper-shouted, "You had one job! What the hell happened?"

"Miss Hewitt went to the ladies' room. I couldn't go inside, so I stayed out in the hallway. Almost twenty minutes passed and she still didn't come out. I ventured inside for a look, but she was gone." "How?" Gideon gave his assistant a death stare. 'Where was she last seen at?"

'At the ladies' room downstairs."

Gideon bounded towards the stairs. I'll go look for her myself.

'But Young Master, what about the party?"

Martin bowed apologetically to the bemused councillor and chased after Gideon.

"I did." Martin sounded contrite as he jogged alongside Gideon. Tjust stepped away for a minute to get a smoke. She must have slipped past me.

Gideon stopped at the staircase landing and scanned the crowd below
