Bedmates Soulmates
CHAPTER 336

Elsie heard the engine of the Hummer,

She looked up to see Kira rushing through the front door with flushed cheeks.

She changed into her slippers, ran upstairs, and didn't notice the housekeeper.

Elsie watched Kira disappear on the staircase landing

Austyn came into the living room.

"Young Master, what's wrong with Young Madam?"

da

Austyn hid a smile.

Kira had refused to look at him during the rest of the drive home.

Her face was crimson.

He cleared his throat. 'No idea. She seemned fine a minute ago. I'll go upstairs and check on her."

"Okay." Elsie took the leather shoes from him. I thought you guys had words.

They did, just not the kind of words Elsie had in mind.

Austyn headed upstairs with a spring in his step.

Kira luxuriated in a long bath.

The soapy water calmed down her pounding heart and cooled her cheeks.

She sat in the tub, hugged her knees and touched her lips.

She had just confessed her feelings to Austyn, and he hadn't shot her down like she feared.

In fact, he'd reciprocated.

Those two simple words-'same here,' catapulted her onto cloud nine.

Kira giggled to herself like a high school girl

It was such a wonderful feeling to have her love requited.

She wished she had a photographic memory so she could remember this day in all its vivid detail for the rest of her life.

Kira climbed out of the tub long after the water had gone cold.

She wrapped herself in a big fluffy towel and checked her reflection in the mirror.

Her skin was radiant.

Her cheeks were no longer red like tomatoes but had a healthy pinkish hue.

Being in love really gave her a glow,

Kira came out of the bathroom.

The bedroom was empty.

She was a little disappointed

Was Austyn still downstairs?

She heard a sound and traced it to the balcony.

Austyn was standing in front of the balustrade, bathed in bright moonlight.

The tip of a cigarette glowed between his fingers.

His eyes were downcast

He looked pensive, and handsome as sin

Maybe it was a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder, but Kira thought Austyn looked exceedingly line tonight, more so than any other time.

She stood on the other side of the glass sliding door, gawking

Austyn turned has head. 'Come here.

Kira walked to him in a trance.

She stepped off the soft carpet onto the sandstone floor of the balcony.

The cold sensation on her soles jolted her back to reality.

She clutched the towel.

Her lips were dry.

Austyn traced her figure with his eyes.

She smelled good, like lavender and cocomit.

Moonlight cast a silvery sheen on her face.

Wrapped in just a towel, she looked like a white tulip flower in full bloom...

Austyn twirled a strand of her wet hair around his fingers.

'Do you know how delicious you look right now?"

Kira was both flattered and a little put out.

If he wanted to compliment her, couldn't he choose another word that didn't sound so dirty?

She would have been okay with beautiful,' or 'lovely, or just the plain old 'You look nice."

Austyn saw her pout. 'Now that we're alone, do you want to hear me call you babe?"

A giggle escaped from her lips.

Then she blushed.

She had almost forgotten about her little tantrum back at the mall.

It had sounded so sweet to her when she heard the boy at the next table call his date 'babe'

somehow, it just felt weird to hear it from Austyn.

She shook her head. "No, thanks, I'm good,"

Austyn stubbed out the cigarette in an ashtray.

Then he carried her in his arms back into the bedroom.

He laid her down on the bed.

"Babe He kissed her forehead.

'Babe.' He kissed her eyes.

'Babe.' He kissed her lips.

Austyn must be a f

a firm believer in the adage 'Practice makes perfect."

He practised calling her by that sweet pet name with every kiss, then he got inventive.

'Honey 'He kissed her chin.

'Sweetie. He kissed her neck.

'Bunny.' He kissed the hollow between her clavicles,

His voice was soft and loving-

Kira's body trembled under his.

Austyn was a fast learner.

He took just one lesson in dating and was already graduating with flying colours.

He was even outperforming her, the teacher.

ra got a huge kick out of seeing a side of him that no one else was privy to.

Every word he uttered elicited another giggle from her.

But eventually, she had to cover his mouth with her hand. "That's enough! Please stop!"

It was too mushy, too Casanova, too unlike him.

Kira realised she could take an overt display of affection but only in small doses.

Austyn had done enough in one night to last her for months.

He pulled back. "Good. I was running out of nicknames to call you.'

'Then why didn't you stop?"

'I thought you liked it."

'I thought so too, but I'm over it now."

She had made that request on the spur of the moment, after seeing the lovey-dovey way the young couple acted at the mall.

But now she realised that not every couple had to show affection in the same way.

'You said it was corny, but you seemed to have no trouble calling me those names just now. Why couldn't you do it at the mall?" Austyn looked away.

Kira noticed his earlobes getting red.

Ooh, another rare sighting of a shy Austyn.

Kira wished her phone wasn't so far away.

She would love to get a picture of Austyn blushing.

She lifted her head and gave his left earlobe a playful nip.

Austyn shuddered as a tingling sensation spread in his body.

He pushed her back down onto the sheets, trapping her between his arms.

Kira saw his Adam's apple bob up and down and swallowed,

She got carried away again.
