~ About One Year Later ~

"Atlas! Are you getting Beau ready?" I shouted.

Just then, Atlas rounded the corner with little Beau in his arms. Our son has on the cute blue overalls that I picked out for him. They'll match his sisters pink ones. Bonnie and Beau.

We went back and fourth on names for my entire pregnancy. I wanted our kids to have cute matching twin names. Like Lila and Leo. Of course, Leo was against that. Obviously I got my way in the end.

As we all know, we decided not to dwell on who the 'real' father is. It doesn't matter. Not in our relationship. They are all Dad to our twins.

And the twins make it impossible to tell by looking at them that they are twins though.

Beau has curly dirty blonde hair. He has light green eyes that match mine. Beau still has Oli's chin, but I swear he has Milos nose.

Both of them have Milo's nose, and it is the only trait that they share.

Bonnie has perfectly straight thick black hair. Her chin is just like mine. Bonnie even has a set of adorable dimples.

She has light blue eyes, and scowl that would stop a grown man in his tracks.

Wonder who she gets that from.

So, it seems that Beau has Oli's hair. Both have Milo's nose.

Beau has my eyes, and Bonnie my chin. Bonnie has Leo's hair, and Atlas's eyes. It's strange how they ended up being a mix of all of us.

Of course, everyone else has their own opinions.

The five of us agree that they all look like us. Though, they all make jokes about how Bonnie has to be Leos. That's because our girl is a grumpy little thing. They all joke that Beau is Oli's because of that curly hair. But they're both a bit of us all.

My parents think that Beau looks just like me, and Bonnie looks just like Leo. Caleb and Lila even agreed. I think Caleb just agreed with whatever Lila said honestly.

Darla thinks that Beau looks just like Oli, but that Bonnie looks like a mix of Leo and Milo. I thought that was kind of funny. Derek, had no opinion. He's a great grandfather, but he's as quiet as always.

I wonder if that's why he's Bonnie's favorite grandpa.

Ally thinks that Beau is a perfect mix of Oli and I.

Apparently, Bonnie is the perfect mix of Leo and Atlas.

Which I thought was hilarious. Marcus didn't agree though.

He agreed with us. In fact, I'm pretty sure he thinks it's the weirdest thing ever that our twins look like all four of us.

Henry. does not give two shits about how either of our kids look. As long as he can play the fun grandpa that fills them up with sugar, he could care less. When we asked him what he thought, he said 'I don't care at all. All that matters is how cute they are!

Jen disagreed with her husband. Of course. She thinks that Bonnie looks like Atlas, and Beau looks like me. Like her husband though, she doesn't care at all as long as she gets to love them.

It was hard at first for all of our parents to wrap their heads around the fact that we didn't want to know which one the bio dad is. Well, except Darla of course. Eventually the rest came around though.

The longer I was pregnant the more excited everyone got.

No matter how strange our relationship is our parents slowly started to accept it more and more. We certainly don't care, so our parents shouldn't either.

This last year of school proved to be a bit harder than we thought. While we had heaps of help, things didn't always go as planned. There were times that Bonnie ripped up our school work, or Beau spilled things on our books. All of us took turns having sleepless nights. It was a lot harder than we thought.

I wasn't able to keep my TA position halfway through my pregnancy. Because I was having twins, I really had to cut back on things. I was really close to being put on bed rest for a minute there.

The others in my SA group still came over though. Even after the twins were born. Oli's friends even started coming over to hang out at our apartment. Caine brought all kinds of gifts for the twins. Gifts that they won't be old enough to play with until they are at least 8.

Caine has no clue about anything when it comes to kids.

Atlas has built up quite the clientele as well. At first it was only a few people who hired him. They loved his food so much that they recommended him to anyone. Now Atlas has such a big clientele that he's been able to make his own hours. He even started to take over bills at the apartment to prove to our parents that we are taking things very seriously.

I've never been so proud of him.

Other than that, things pretty much went how we wanted it to. Having kids is a lot harder than we thought, no matter how much we prepared, or how much help we had. Plus, having two at once.. I'm just happy I have four fathers to help me out.

We went through colds, flus, colic, papers due, projects, graduation, everything that we thought we were ready for, but were not. And I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world. I love my little family. One full year in, and I think we've been doing great. "Bonnie is ready too." Leo said as he popped up behind

Atlas carrying our daughter.

I looked between my two children. Beau has his fingers in his mouth, chewing on them. Bonnie has her little stuffed bunnie that Derek gave her. She takes that thing everywhere. Bonnie also has a scowl on her face as usual. "Okay, put them down so I can get some pictures." I said.

Atlas put Beau down in front of the wall I set up to take pictures. Leo tried to put Bonnie down, but she refused. As usual. She never wants to detatch from Leo.

"Bonnie, Mommy wants to get some pictures of you and your brother." Leo told her.

Bonnie humphed at her dad making me giggle.

"Be good for Mommy today, and I'll read you three stories before bed tonight." Leo said.

A wide smile broke out on Bonnie's face. She let go of her dad, and waddled to her brother. They just learned how to walk, and it has been so cute to watch them waddle everywhere.

Bonnie grabbed hold of her brother's hand, and turned to face me. The scowl is right back on her face. I shook my head before snapping a few pictures.

"Okay, now bribe her to smile." I told Leo.

Leo gave me a bored look making me laugh.

"What?" I asked.

"Don't say I bribed my daughter." He said.

"But you did." Atlas chimed in.

Leo rolled his eyes as he walked up to our daughter.

"Bonnie, you said you'd be good. That means smiling all day." Leo told her.

"Dada." Was all Bonnie said in return.

Although, she did smile. Making Leo smile wide. Making Atlas and I smile too.

"Okay, a few more pictures, and then we gotta go. Your other daddy's are waiting at the restaurant for us."

**

"Finally you're here!" Milo said as he met us outside of the restaurant.

Today is the twins first birthday. Because we have such a big family, we knew we were going to need a big space. It was proving to be difficult, until TJ offered to close half of his restaruant for us. Free of charge at that.

TJ Parks is by far the nicest man I have ever met. He even gave us a discount for catering to our twins party. Now seeing the restaurant...

"TJ did all of this?" I asked Atlas.

This place is completely decorated. Streamers, balloons, other party things hanging from the ceiling. There's a huge birthday banner with the twin's names on it. Pink and Blue table clothes on the tables. Prince an princess center pieces are in the middle of the tables. It's so cute.

I didn't know about all of this. I wasn't even thinking we would decorate like this. I just thought we would have a few balloons, and maybe a banner. This. is so amazing.

"He went all out, I know." Atlas said. "I told him he didn't have to."

I set Beau down, and he immediately ran to his grandpa Henry. I turned to see Bonnie clinging to Leo while glaring at everyone else. This girl.. Leo was so scared to have a daughter, now look at him. He doesn't want to part from her either. "There's my favorite little goblin."

Bonnie turned her head at the sound of TJ's voice. She gasped as a smile spread across her face. Bonnie put her arms out, and nearly jumped out of Leo's arms to get to TJ.

TJ happily took Bonnie, and started to bounce her up and down. The only other person that Bonnie likes, is TJ. I think that's why he went all out for their party. Bonnie is a hard kid to get to like you, but once she does.. It's over, there is no saying no to her. "You guys are late." Mom said to me.

rolled my eyes as I hugged her.

"Bonnie had to be difficult." I said.

Mom laughed as she pulled back from me.

"You were the same with your dad as a baby. Never wanted to part from him." She told me.

I rolled my eyes.

"One of them could at least be attached to me." I grumbled.

"Beau just wants anyone who will give him a snack, and Bonnie hates everyone except Leo, Derek, and TJ." I whined.

Mom patted my shoulder as she laughed.

"It'll get better honey." She told me.

Adam stood up then.

"Now that you're here, who wants cake and ice cream?"

**

A couple of hours later, and we have completely trashed TJ's restaurant. The twins have successfully convinced all of their grandfathers to open their gifts. All while the grandmother's hovered over them giggling. While the five of us sat back, and had a drink. I sighed. Man, I needed this. It's only been a couple weeks since we graduated, and I still feel like I never relaxed.

"Should we get going?" Oli asked me.

I shook my head, and then leaned into him.

"No, they're having way too much fun." I said.

Leo kissed the top of my head, and sat down next to me.

"Are we all ready to go tomorrow?" I asked.

Tomorrow we are leaving to spend a few weeks at the lake house. We decided to spend the next month there before Oli and I start our new jobs. We aren't sure how often we will be able to go there once we start working.

I have been dying to take the twins there. It's a little slice of heaven on earth to me. I know that they are just going to have a blast there.

"About that." Leo said.

I sat up straight.

"Oh no.. That doesn't sound good." I said.

"Relax cupcake, it's a good 'about that." Milo said.

I gave him a confused look.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Well" Leo said getting my attention again. "We actually have everything packed in the car right now." He said.

"Oh?" I asked still confused

"Let's go up tonight." Milo whispered in my ear.

My eyebrows shot up

"You want to drive all the way there tonight? With the twins? This late?” I asked.

It has to be at least 9 something right now. It takes a couple of hours to get to the lake house. I mean, I guess the twins would probably fall asleep on our way.

Leo shook his head at me.

"Our parents have offered to bring them up tomorrow. So that we could have some time alone." He said.

Alone? Gosh, we haven't had much time alone since the twins were born. Actually.

"They've never stayed away from us for a full night." I said softly.

"They will be fine angel." Oli told me.

"Yeah babygirl. By the time we get up there, they'll be asleep. By the time we wake up, they'll be there." Atlas added.

I chewed on my bottom lip, and Leo grabbed my hand.

"We haven't been away from them for a full night, I know.

We deserve one night baby. It's only one night. They will be perfectly fine." He said.

I looked between all of them, then at our twins playing with their grandparents. "Okay. Let's do it."
