Lucinda walked in and in a flash, the man who had been seated on the sofa hurried into the bathroom like a gust of wind and locked the door.

He moved so swiftly that Lucinda only caught a glimpse of his back.

She found it amusing.

Feigning ignorance, she inquired, “Where’s Nate?”

“Well, he was here just a moment ago.

Maybe I was mistaken.

He might have already left.

Lucinda asked, “Really? Why didn’t I see him on my way here?”

“He probably went to the bathroom in the opposite direction.

“Is there no bathroom in the private room?” she asked, acting surprised again.

When Nathan heard this, he held his breath.

Leaning against the door, he continued to quietly wipe away the lipstick on his face and neck.
