Billionaire's Reborn Baby -
Chapter 1081 Roxy Copper Eleven (2)
When Collin came back to the table, Roxanne and Mike were drinking and using sign language. Collin couldn't understand, but he stood in the distance and watched them for a while.
He knew that Roxanne had a tough life when she was pregnant. Collin was shocked when the incident happened. At that time, her baby wasn't born.
The skin of his cheeks tautened and his eyes turned red. Roxanne stood up and walked to Collin, "What's wrong?"
"I'm sorry." Collin hugged her.
Everyone at the table looked at them.
Local people were not very open, and no one would hug others in public.
Roxanne tried to refuse him, but she couldn't make it. Collin hugged her tightly, "I'm sorry."
"Are you drunk?" Roxanne asked.
Collin let go of her and touched her chin. Suddenly, Collin gave her a big kiss.
The village women felt bashful, but they couldn't help but peep. Some people mumbled and cursed in low voices, but more of them were jealous.
Collin was not gentle that night and Roxanne shouted herself hoarsely. They cuddled up and stayed closer.
It seemed that only in this way could Collin allay his regret.
The group packed their luggage and planned to go back to City Y. Collin had a long conversation with Mike, but Mike was unwilling to go to City Y with them. Mike waved his hand and wanted to refuse. Collin had no choice but let Roxanne and Livia say goodbye to Mike.
Livia kissed Mike before leaving.
Mike cried and waved his hand. He made sounds as if saying goodbye.
"I will come back to see you. I will look after you when you are old." Livia said.
Mike shook his head and waved his hand as if saying something.
Livia cried, "He told me not to come back. It's not a comfortable place and the locals are not friendly. Just leave and never come back."
Collin rubbed her head.
Roxanne walked to and hugged Mike, "I gave the principal money every month. You can come to his place to have meals." Roxanne said it in sign language.
Mike wanted to refuse, but Roxanne held his hand. After a long time, he nodded and made sounds. It meant agreement.
After the conversation, Roxanne stood by Livia and stared at the house she had lived in for nearly ten years. Then she turned around and left with Collin.
The principal brought a group of children to send them off at the intersection. Livia kept waving her hand and drawing in her head until the car drove them out of the mountain and no one was in her sight.
Livia kept mom's words in mind, "When someone stays in a place for a long time, he or she has been accustomed to it and tends to rely on it. So, when you leave your comfort zone and enter an unfamiliar area, you will reject and fear. But after a while, you can adapt to it, because pursuing comfort is out of human instinct."
"I have many friends in City Y. Their children are almost the same age as you. You will be good friends. Don't worry." Collin smiled and touched her head.
Livia nodded.
She did not want any friends.
During these years, Livia lived in the village, but she didn't have any sincere friends. Therefore, Livia thought that it was not easy to make friends.
Mom was right. All relationships needed to be cautious, no matter romantic love or friendship.
At eleven o'clock in the evening, the car stopped.
It was Livia's first time traveling long distances. Although she felt uncomfortable after sitting for a long time, she was still in high spirits when she got out of the car. As a kid, she was not naughty and overcautious at all.
When they arrived in City Y, Livia looked at the strange city and behaved herself.
Collin took them back to their residence first. It was the house Roxy lived in before.
Roxanne stopped for a moment at the door.
"What's wrong?" Collin asked.
Roxanne shook his head. When she entered the house, she realized that Collin seemed to live in this place.
"Have you been living here?" She asked.
"Yes." Collin went into the kitchen. He did not come back for a whole year. Mrs. Mueller knew her son would come back, so she came over to clean up the house in advance. She also made dinner for them, bu the food got cold on the table.
Collin boiled water and called Livia over for a meal.
Livia was standing on the balcony and staring at the night scene. She found a large thing on the side of the balcony and was looking at it with curiosity.
Collin walked over, "That's an astronomical telescope. I'll teach you how to use it after dinner."
"Okay." Livia went to the bathroom to wash her hands. She saw a bottle of perfume and a pair of earrings in front of the sink. They were brand new. Two elks were on the cute earrings.
Livia returned to the table and asked Collin.
Collin looked at Roxanne, "That was for your mom."
Roxanne was drinking water and raised her head, "Oh, I don't know that."
Collin stared at her. "There are no other women in this house. It's been there for several months. You haven't realized that, do you?"
"Oh, so this is your way to give gifts." Roxanne bit his chopsticks.
Collin was speechless.
"I get it." Livia clamped a hand over her mouth and laughed.
"Your mother used to be nonchalant to me. How would I dare to give gifts to her?" Collin picked up food for Livia.
Roxanne knocked on the bowl, "Eat."
Collin sat up straight instantly and whispered to Livia, "Did you see that? I'm very afraid of her."
Roxanne didn't want to say anything.
Collin washed up and tidied up the guest room for Livia. He pulled out his luggage bag and packed things.
"You can do it tomorrow." Roxanne came out of the bathroom and wiped her hair, "Just go to bed."
"I want to get one thing." Collin took out a square-shaped electronic clock from his bag. The white object was too familiar to Roxanne. Roxanne was shocked and stared at Collin. "You've been carrying it all along?"
"I used to rely on it to fall asleep." Collin adjusted the electronic clock to the point and listened to the hoarse voice inside, "When I am with you, insomnia has never bothered me."
He put the clock on the bedside table and hugged Roxanne, "So, you can't leave me in the future, or I will have insomnia."
"Are you tired?" Roxanne wiped her hair.
Collin shook his head. "I'm not tired. What's the matter?"
Roxanne put the towel in his hand and pulled him into the bathroom.
As soon as the door closed, she tiptoed to kiss Collin.
Collin gained the initiative instantly.
They enjoyed warm water under the shower.
"Do you remember?" Roxanne whispered.
Of course, Collin remembered. They made a promise that only after Collin married could Roxanne leave.
And then, he was not married.
But she left.
He bit her neck gently and held her hands. "Roxanne..."
"What?" Roxanne asked.
"When did you fall in love with me?" Collin's face was full of warm water, similar to tears.
Warm water flew down from the showerhead.
The room was filled with mist. Roxanne muttered,
"It was longer than you..."
