Chapter 689 Inheritable Holy Skill—Eternal Body Skill

Knowing that Henry looked down on her, Pearl could no longer hide her anger. A look of complete disdain was apparent on her face as she stared at him furiously. The flames of hatred kept burning in her heart as her insidious ferocity appeared in her eyes.

She was very annoyed by what had happened in the Heavenly Passage but she couldn't do anything to Ricky. Henry's remarks only added fuel to the fire so she planned to direct her anger towards him instead.

"Dark power! Have a taste of my whip!" Pearl roared as she summoned her skill.

In the next moment, the dark water suddenly exploded out of Pearl. It flew up in the sky and fused with her Feminine Enlightenment. In a split second, it turned into a long black whip which seemed like a fierce boa constrictor that flooded towards Henry at a very high speed.

Crack! Crack!

Under the extreme power of the dark water, everything that the whip passed through was turned into ice. Suddenly, the cold wind blew dust and dirt up from the ground as her dark power occupied the entire space. It formed into a potent power that shot towards Henry in all directions.

Henry could sense that Pearl had reached a higher level of proficiency in using the dark water than before. A feeling of anxiety washed over him as he was starting to get worried about his future. "This kind of gloomy power must have come from the dark water!" Henry shouted in surprise as his mouth was agape in horror. His face grew serious as he sensed Pearl's potent power. It had never occurred to him that Pearl could have more tricks up her sleeve.

"That's right! This is the powerful dark water. Anyone who dares to stand in my way shall be turned into an ice sculpture.” Pearl's voice was as cold as ice. A vicious look was painted on her face. "Ha-ha! That is indeed very rude and shameless of you! Do you really think that you can defeat me with your dark water? That could only happen in your dreams! You are obviously over-confident about your little trick!" Henry retorted as he stared back at her. His anxiousness gradually turned into disdain after he heard her arrogance.

"How could he be so confident about the current situation? Is he really not afraid of the dark water? That's strange,” Ricky quietly murmured to himself as he stood opposite to Yori and Thiago.

He knew very clearly that the reason why he was able to withstand Pearl's dark water in the last battle was that he possessed the Heaven Illuminating Fire. This skill prevented him from being turned into an ice sculpture. He owed his life to it.

The other sacred fires and the peculiar fires inside his body were not strong enough to shelter him from the dark water given that his current cultivation level was lower than Pearl's. The power of a Treasure from Heaven and Earth depended on the cultivation level of the master who refined it.

As Henry's voice faded away, he flew in the sky and stretched out his hands. In a split second, the Gloomy Enlightenment fused with the Massacring Enlightenment and flowed through his body. As the two kinds of skills united to perfection and generated an enormous amount of power, an atmosphere of horror dominated the entire space. Maybe it was a peculiarity of the Predatory Holy Ant.

Before Pearl could even react, Henry immediately used his Sandy Mutant. A flow of sand shot out from his body and fused with the two kinds of enlightening powers. The powers continued to accumulate inside his body until they reached their limits. They then turned into an enormous fist that fiercely lunged towards Pearl's black whip. A loud bang was heard when they collided with each other in the sky.

But Henry's counter attack didn't do any damage to Pearl. It surprised him to see that the dark water was indeed very powerful to the point that even a middle spiritual king was helpless and couldn't do anything about it.

The moment the two kinds of power collided with each other, Henry failed to activate the power of his fist. He didn't even get a chance to show off his power as Pearl's dark power had already pervaded through the entire space and had frozen everything to death. An overwhelming killing power smothered the entire battlefield as Pearl firmly landed on the ground

In the aftermath of the fierce collision, everything suddenly felt clear and fresh to Pearl once again. An ice sculpture floating in the air, and it was none other than Henry himself.

"You're too proud of yourself yet you are too weak to stand a chance against me!" Pearl retorted with a smirk as a look of disdain flashed in her very eyes. The reason why she lost the battle to Ricky last time was because the latter possessed the black flame. Since Henry didn't have that skill, she was certain that he was doomed to fail from the beginning.

“So that's it? Pearl won the battle? I expected Henry to have a few more tricks up his sleeve, * Ricky quietly thought to himself in disbelief. He didn't expect the fight to end so quickly.

It was not because he didn't want Pearl to win the battle. He just had an intuition that Henry would not go down without a good fight. When he looked at Yori and Thiago, he noticed that they didn't seem worried about Henry at all. He then felt that maybe Henry still had some hidden martial skills to fight against Pearl's attack.

"Pearl, you must proceed with extreme caution!" Ricky told Pearl through their telepathic link. Crack! Crack!

As soon as Ricky warned her about the danger, several small cracks began to appear on the surface of the ice sculpture. Inside the ice, Henry summoned his potent power in an attempt to destroy the thick layer of ice that enveloped him. In the blink of an eye, the ice sculpture shattered and ice shards scattered on the floor. The dark power which dominated him disappeared without a trace Henry then flew in the sky and glared around with a self-satisfied smirk on his face.

'I knew it! My guess was right!’ Ricky quietly thought to himself with furrowed brows. His face grew serious as he came to a realization that Henry was way more powerful than he thought he would be. Even the power which came from the dark water couldn't inflict significant damage to him. He couldn't help but wonder how Henry's martial skills were that great.

Henry's power made Pearl's heart tremble in fear. A feeling of anxiety overtook her as she stared at Henry. It took her a while to regain her composure because she somehow knew that Henry could have a few more tricks up his sleeve. She prepared herself for a good fight and that was what she was about to get.

At that moment, something strange happened. Henry's appearance began to undergo dramatic change. The process attracted a lot of attention from everyone in the vicinity. They all looked up to the sky with their mouths opened wide.

Before they could blink their eyes, every inch of Henry's body including his blood, flesh, and hair all turned into a dark golden color. The entire area was filled with terror as mighty rays of lightning glittered all over the sky.

They could sense that Henry had fused together the Gloomy Enlightenment and the Massacring Enlightenment perfectly. It seemed that this kind of power was totally different with any mutant.

But they also had a vague feeling that this skill resembled some mutant to a certain degree. No matter how hard they tried, they still couldn't figure out the secret behind his sudden transformation.

"What kind of skill should that be? It seems to be very powerful," Ricky asked as he stared at Henry. "This cultivation method is the Eternal Body Skill. It is an inheritable skill from our Predatory Holy Ant tribe. When a warrior succeeds in refining it, they will possess an eternal body," Henry replied confidently upon hearing his question.

His face was beaming with confidence. He thought that it was not a big deal to tell the secret to Ricky and Pearl since they were already doomed to die in battle.

"Although I haven't completely grasped it, I have studied it enough to counter your dark water." Henry smirked as a look of disdain appeared on his face.

'An eternity body? It seems to me that this skill resemble my Ultimate Golden Body. So it means that if my cultivation can be improved to a much higher level, I would no longer have the need to be afraid of Pearl's dark water at all, * Ricky quietly thought to himself as he calmly analyzed Henry's words.

But what he was worried about was that Pearl wouldn't stand a chance against Henry anymore knowing that the dark water was no longer a threat to him. If Pearl didn't have other secret weapons to bring out in this battle, there was a high chance that her life would be on the line. That was the last thing that he wanted

'lt seems that I have to deal with Yori and Thiago as soon as I can. Otherwise, we won't find a way out of here once the battle begins, ' Ricky thought to himself as he assessed the current situation carefully with a clear mind.

Boom! Boom! A deafening sound accompanied by an enormous aura exploded in the sky. Pearl and Henry fiercely collided with each other. Henry gained the upper hand in the battle since he possessed the Eternal Body Skill and the Sandy Mutant. Pearl's Feminine Mutant was nothing compared to his strength.

But it would take a long time before Henry could totally destroy Pearl's Feminine Mutant since it was powerful enough to sustain his attack for a while.

"It seems that you desire to save Pearl. Unfortunately, we are not going to let that happen. An ace genius like you will be killed by us today. We don't care if you possess two mutants," Yori stated coldly as he sensed a murderous aura emitting from Ricky's body.

"But your behavior is in direct contradiction to your words. You said that you were not afraid of me, but why do I sense fear in your eyes?" Ricky wore a faint smile on his face upon hearing Yori. He was not affected by Yori's words at all. Instead, he just stared at him without displaying an ounce of fear. "Ha-ha! Are you about to mess me up with your little tricks? It is truly a shame that none of them worked on me," Yori retorted as his voice turned cold as ice.

"Have a taste of my Devouring Fist!"

As Yori's voice faded away, Ricky immediately threw his fist towards him. Since Ricky possessed the Devouring Mutant, his Devouring Fist was more powerful than it used to be.

As the shadow of his fist passed through, the devouring runes flooded across the entire area, about to assimilate everything in its way and turn them into nothing.

Although it was a seemingly normal punch that headed towards him, Yori's pupils dilated in shock as he sensed the overwhelming power contained inside the fist. Under Ricky's enormous pressure, he immediately sprang into action. He used his Eternal Body Skill and changed his starry body into a similar color with Henry's.

In a split second, enormous power which came from the Star Mutant exploded. Mighty rays of starry lightning flashed within his body and were gathered around his hands. Before Ricky could react, it all turned into a huge starry sword that collided with Ricky's Devouring Fist.

"Star Mutant! Starry sword!" Yori roared as he summoned his skill.

"Ricky, I hope that you do not consider this to be an unfair game since we have more people than you have. You are too powerful to deal with alone so we have no other choice but to gang up on you and make sure you do not get away that easily,” Thiago said as he rushed towards Ricky to launch his most powerful attack.
