Chapter 780 Lightning Minks

'lt seems these three tests aren't so simple, ' Ricky thought after listening to the Evil Emperor.

"By the way, if you are lucky, you might gain some opportunity in my Small World," the Evil Emperor continued. "Perhaps it won't be an opportunity that lives up to your expectations. But I safely assure it won't be a letdown either."

The disciples got all ecstatic by the Evil Emperor's speech.

"Well, let's cut to the chase, shall we? Anyone who wants to be eligible to take part in the main drawn match must crush the jade tablet and get into my Small World...now!" the Evil Emperor announced.

Immediately, half of the inner and outer disciples rushed to crush the jade tablets. Then, the powerful energy overtook and enabled them to walk into the Evil Emperor's Small World.

Ricky came to meet a dark space once he crushed the jade tablet. He carefully inspected his surrounds and soon realized it was a narrow path.

“This pathway must be where the first test will take place, ' Ricky speculated. With his eyes, he gathered the spiritual energy necessary to study the narrow path and what could come out of it. However, to Ricky's surprise, he couldn't see anything clearly. There was nothing but complete darkness ahead of him.

Even the Bone Reinforcement warriors could see through the murk, let alone an innate spiritual king. There was no doubt it was the ruling power of the Evil Emperor which was hindering his vision.

'I don't know if the Golden Spirit Eyes could help me see in here, but I don't think it's proper or even necessary to use it now. After all, I still can sense everything through my mind, ' Ricky pondered. 'So, what is the test here?"

Ricky looked around with his mind's guidance, and soon became alert. He guessed that despite every disciple having to go through the same test, the degrees of hardship would vary according to the strength of each. Therefore, there was no room for carelessness.

"Listen, all of you. The narrow path is just as a maze. You'll only be able to see if you use your minds." Evil Emperor's voice suddenly broke through

"There's only one way to complete the maze. And it'll be through a cultivation method. As for where you should do it, don't worry. You'll find it very soon.”

Just as quickly as it came, the Evil Emperor's voice thoroughly vanished, leaving the disciples on their own.

'So the path is a maze? Does it have anything to do with a cultivation method?" Ricky wondered. Swish!

Out of the blue, a fierce strike, no inferior to Ricky's own strength, charged at him in full speed.

It got so close to hit him that Ricky almost thought he wouldn't be able to dodge it.

'lt seems I guessed it right. Everything in here will level up to my own strength, * Ricky thought to himself

The moment Ricky got away, the strike collided with one of the narrow walls, creating a loud explosion. The place was so small that the wave of air had blown violently. Ricky had no choice but to concentrate the spiritual energy to shield himself.

While Ricky protected himself, his mind managed to pick up the source of the attack.

About a dozen meters away, he sensed a creature. It wasn't too big, only a meter high or so. Its frame resembled the shape of a mink.

'This seems to be a marten creature, but I can't sense the blood running through its veins. It must have been condensed by the Evil Emperor's ruling power, * Ricky reflected.

"What?" Ricky murmured. "It has three tails?"

He sensed the plural endings on the mink.

"The three-tail mink is a spiritual beast of King Level—the Lightning Mink." Ricky connected the dots and figured out the identity of the Evil Emperor's creature.

“No wonder it's called the Lightning Mink. This creature acts so fast that its high speed has surpassed all the other spiritual beasts of King Level. Since this one in particular has been gathered by the Evil Emperor's ruling power, it's probably even faster than other Lightning Minks at the same level.

So, does this mean the cultivation method needed to pass through the maze has anything to do with this Lightning Mink?" Ricky was lost in thought.

Swish!

Ricky's contemplation got abruptly interrupted by a move from the Lightning Mink. The creature was indeed as fast as a lightning. In the blink of an eye, it had reached Ricky's right side. Its small and sharp claws reunited a great deal of spiritual energy as it went straight to him.

However, Ricky had seen this strike coming. As result, he filled his right hand with slaying power, ready to punch. His fists didn't hesitate when it clashed against the Lightning Mink's sharp claws. Grunting, both heavily fell back against the walls of the path.

Ricky didn't have the time to stabilize his body again when another attack rushed from behind him. As fast as he could, he sidestepped.

Though, a second later, drops of blood squirted while the stain on his shoulder spread. As expected, his reaction had been slow.

Ricky's mind quickly scattered. But there was no time to rest. On the wall not far behind him, another Lightning Mink showed up.

Instantly, Ricky's face fell gloomy.

Before he could pull himself together, his mind sensed yet another Lightning Mink on the ceiling over his head

"Now there are three of them!" Ricky growled.

The creatures being all as fast and as strong as him, set Ricky in an enormous disadvantage during a single battle.

Perhaps, the only thing on his side now was the fact that the three Lightning Minks didn't possess any psychic intelligence.

He focused in order to feel his surrounds again. Fortunately, there wasn't a trace of any other Lightning Mink. If there was, he wouldn't be able to contend and would have to surrender.

'I knew it wouldn't be a piece of cake, but I really didn't expect that passing the test would be such a difficult task. I have to try my best, * Ricky thought. “The so-called cultivation method must have something to do with the three Lightning Minks. But do I have to completely defeat them?"

Either way, no matter what the answer to his late question was, a fight was inevitable.

All the three Lightning Minks gathered and struck at Ricky simultaneously.

Roaring, the creatures revolved their bodies around their three tails. In the following second, a transparent lightning spread each from the minks' centers and, with a cracking sound, they were all fired at Ricky.

On their way to Ricky, the three flashes of lightning shifted into sharp claws.

Each claw seemed to be ordinary as far as they were concerned. But Ricky could sense the power emanating from them. He was aware that to be able to resist this attack, he would have to do his best.

Ricky didn't hesitate for a second. His hands got instantly taken by the devouring runes when a storm burst out from his Enlightening Wind Holes. Just then, both the massacring runes and the Massacring Golden Palm clashed against one of the sharp claws.

About the same time, Ricky used his Iron Destroyer, now surrounded by golden purple galaxy power, and charged it towards the sky.
